Calling all Angel (the show) fans..BAD NEWS

Wait, maybe since the WB canceled it maybe UPN will pick it up like they did with Buffy. Is that possible??? I think Buffy moved over to the UPN on its sixth season and next season would be Angel's season six I think. I can still hope, right?

Well if memory serves me right WB canceled Buffy because it didn't want to pay the increasing production costs. Also Joss Whedon thought thet'd treated the show like a turd and not the network anchor it was. I don't know what happened. All the writers and actors seemed so positive.

My DD is devastated! She LOVES this show! She's hoping that TNT will continue to show the re-runs daily.

I'm sure TNT will continue to show the reruns. Three seasons are also available on DVD in the US. I'm confizzled as to how they are going to wrap it up with only 9 episodes left, 4 are at least written, maybe even shot. Of course I am also holding on t o that shred of hope that Buffy's cookies are done baking! LOL. That is the only way Angel's demise (the show) will even be the least bit tolerable for me.

I couldn't be more disappointed!! I heard that Angel is the WB's second highest rated show. I went through a slight mourning period yesterday when I found out - almost as bad as when Buffy was cancelled. Here is a little hug for us fans - we can mourn together!!

I blubbered like such an idiot during the Buffy finale. I think my husband was embarrassed for me . He left the room so I could maintain some dignity.

I have enjoyed this season of ANGEL tremendoulsy! The writers have out done themselves!
Is it the actors who are tired of these characters?

No way!!!! Wahhh!!! The link didn't work for me, but I am incredibly bummed. I just got the new season that came out on DVD. So at least it will stay alive that way for me.

I was so happy that Spike had a new show to exist on.

In all the interviews I have read this season, the actors seemed ready to stay with the show for at least another two or three years. I think this is squarely the WBs decision. I think the only hope for having Angel next year is if another network picks it up.

I am so angry about this. They are taking all the "good shows" away. First Dark Angel, then Buffy, now this. Where will all the Sci-Fi people go for quality now?

Also, Sarah Michelle Gellar has completely refused to do anything with Angel this season or anytime soon. David Boreanaz seemed pretty peeved about it in an interview.

If this truly is the end I think SMG may change her mind. It wasn't confirmed that DB would appear in the Buffy finale until 6 weeks or so before it aired.

The WB never cancelled Bufffy. They were outbid by UPN.

Why, why would they do this? I thought the send-off for Cordelia was outstanding. And I had hope that Eliza Dushku's new show would be cancelled so that Faith would join the show. I just loved her character. Wow, this may ruin my whole day. Angel was just on the cover of TV Guide! Don't TV execs know anything?!!

Your right. UPN "outbid" the WB by $500,000 per episode. After the network president trashed the show in the papers.
