Thanks for the compassion Ed. It is SNOWING out there right now. Heavy snow that's sticking to the TWO FEET that we still have on the ground.

Hi everyone!!

I seriously need some diversion here. LOL The fact that I keep calling Disney 72 times a day hoping that a room in concierge opens up for our July trip AND the fact that this long winter is making me nuts...I've been thinking!

Anyone want to plan a get together? Some of us are up here in New England, many are down in NJ. I go both ways!


Who's up for a New England meet?


How about a NJ meet? I'll be in NJ the week of April 18th - 23rd.

Both ways, huh? I thought that the official government policy on that was "Don't ask, Don't tell".

Too bad that I live so far away from you guys. If you wanted to get away from winter, you could come see me. Todays forecast is for sunny skies and highs in the mid-to-upper 60s. It's already gorgeous out there. I didn't want to come back into the office from getting lunch! (I was out spraying my roses for aphids last night, in my bare feet and a t-shirt. My climbing rose even has a bud on it already. And I noticed that the buds on my dogwood tree are starting to open, it should be in full bloom in another week.)

I'm hoping to get outside some this weekend, but don't know whether I'll get a chance or not. I have some work (only a little bit) that I need to take home with me this weekend. The other thing that is standing in the way is a major redecorating project in my spare bedroom. Last Friday it was announced that my company would not be renewing the lease on our office building. Now I have to convert my spare bedroom into a spare bedroom/office, so I can work from home. Fortunately, they gave us warning well in advance, the lease doesn't end until October. But there is a lot to consider - Desk space, high-speed internet (I currently have dial-up), phone communications (extra line or go with cable ISP) and how working from home will affect my taxes - only to mention a few of them.

Well, I better get some stuff done, so I can get out of here and enjoy some of our .

Sue: Don't laugh but DH and I REALLY want to take DSs to England some day! Are there castles in Wales? We are seriously considering a trip across the pond within the next couple of years!

By the way Andy - We've got whales here. In fact we've just recently had a grey whale in the neighborhood. (Usually, it's the Orcas.)

April is such a nice month... . My BD is April 28th. Spring! Sounds like a celebration in the making, hey Terry and Andy.

No snow here today, thank you very much!

Sue - one of my travel destinations is Great Britain. I'm sorry to say I don't know very much about your Wales. But I would love to add it to a tour of Scotland and England and a little of Ireland. Tell me your favorite thing about Wales?

John and the kids are ready to lock me out in the snow.

I'm making them nuts. I just made them all watch the Travel Channel's special on the Wilderness Lodge because I WANT a concierge room and there's none available (so far!) at the Polynesian!! John and I were going to stay at the WL concierge when it was just the 2 of us going. But I switched us over to the Polynesian because we had decided a long time ago that we'd have our next family trip be there, and also because we missed our stay there after our cruise, due to "our" Hurricane.

Anyway. The question is:

Do I just stay with the Polynesian and HOPE a concierge room opens up? And even if it doesn't, should we still stay at the Polynesian??

OR

Switch back to the Wilderness Lodge Concierge??

Its snowing here.. of course.. Jaclyns first game is next MONDAY.. can they plow a field with 4 feet of snow on it??

Add my family to the list of APRIL B'days.. Jaclyn is the 14.. SWEET 16.. Daniel is the 29.. my dad is the 5th. Marty's mom is 2. and a whole lot of others.. it was hot summer nights in our families...

Darlene - If you're so jealous of my weather, then come see me. I love to play host! Be aware however that there is a BIG downside to our weather. The 'powers at be' are already debating whether to declare an official drought in the state. (They figure that it will happen before the end of the month if things don't change pretty darn soon.)

Ed - I was figuring on going the cable route. I'm hoping that I can get a package deal since I already have a cable package for my TV (and have for years). I've had several friends recommend a wireless router, since they might need to come over occassionally, just to see another face. (There are over 100 bodies in the office on a regular basis.) I'm still looking into my options. But at least I've got the interior design for the room done. (I know! Just like a woman, Huh? )

Terry - I wish that I had the vacation to come out and see you guys, but this year I promised my extra vacation to my mom. We are heading east of the mountains in August to see some family. We are going to visit my grandpa's (mom's father) youngest brother and his wife. They haven't seen Devin since he was three years old. Boy, are they going to be surprised! They live about 10 miles east of this really cool 'tourist' town decorated in the Bavarian/German style. It has lots of neat novelty shops in it. Every time I go there I wish that I was really rich! I wish that you guys could afford to come and see me. Especially since the weather is really nice here at the moment. I could have a bigger 'camp-out' than Andy. I have nearly 1.4 acres, but the 7.6 acres behind mine belong to my aunt. She's pretty cool! I could have a tent-city behind my house, with water and electricity available too. (Dig out the smoothies, frizbees and croquet - It's party time!) :thewave:

Good Morning All,

Well, it's 4:30am here on the east coast and I'm wide awake. I guess I will get those few DCL postcards ready for mailing, and finish the t-shirts for my DW's Ladies Retreat that she will be going on next weekend. I just love waking up this early on a Saturday morning!!!
