:cool1: Good news from here!! Snow predictions for the weekend have been downgraded :cheer2: Now they are only calling for 12-18 inches instead of 18-24! :rotfl: :sad2:

Yes, Doreen I have heard they do not think we are done yet.

Trying to stay positive. Have a wonderful DH, 2 DS10+13, good jobs and a home with us being healthy. That is what really counts, oh and spring is nearly here and in 75 weeks I will not be thinking about snow is the least :rotfl:

I finished everything up by 7:30 and was ready to take a quick nap on the couch, just then the newspaper delivery person hit our screen door with today's paper and my dog went nuts with his barking, needless to say, I'm wide awake again. We have my grand niece's Christening to attend in the Atlantic City area this morning, so it's time to wake up Hazel and Angelina and get them on the move. It takes just about one hour to get to the church, then we will stay for the luncheon. Luckily, we didn't get any of the snow they were calling for this morning either, but we did get a bt of rain overnight.

Gotta go and start getting ready, see y'all later!!!

While waiting for my turn to get in the bathroom, I went and captured this shot to share with everyone this morning. For those who are having bad weather this morning, may this brighten your day.

I would also be interested in getting together in NJ in April. Let me know the plans. My DS's Bday is April 24th so as long as the get together doesn't interfere with his birthday party - count me in.

I'm losing my mind. I know I said that Robby's birthday is April 23rd, but its not, it's the 24th. Thats pretty bad when a mother get her son's birthday wrong. However, in my defense, we'll be in NJ from April 18 till the 23rd so I think that's why I typed the 23rd! :rolleyes1 Also, Craig's birthday is MARCH 23rd...so I guess it's easy to mix them both up.

It's BLIZZARDING out there right now! I just took Craig to school to drop him off for a trip he's going on with the BPA. They're attending and competing in the State Leadership Conference. He'll be back Monday afternoon. He's competing in "HTML" and also "extemporaneous speech". I hope he does well :teacher:

Andy, thanks for the pic! That sure is a sight for sore eyes :3dglasses

I seriously need some diversion here. LOL The fact that I keep calling Disney 72 times a day hoping that a room in concierge opens up for our July trip

Terry: Have you ever thought about switching your reservation to Dreams Unlimited? I think they would call for you until they found the room you wanted. I have stayed in both Lagoon and Gardenview at the Polynesian and they both are great. If you get Lagoon view I would suggest the first floor. It is great to be able to just walk out those doors to the beach. Those swings and hammocks are great and the veiw of the castle and fireworks is awesome.

Lyn: You must be zeroing in on my brain waves :teeth: Last night I emailed DU and explained my situation. Later last night I got an email back from Dagny at DU and she (I'm assuming its a she??) said if I do transfer my reservation to them she'll keep trying to get us a concierge room. So...after thinking it over, and realizing that there are no "cons" to doing this, just a little while ago I emailed Dagny back with our reservation #, deposit info, etc. So....now I will really try and refrain from calling Disney myself to check on a room. And at the very least, DU will make my PSs for me :)

I'm glad you suggested this, it makes me feel like I made the right decision to hand my reservation over to them. After a bad experience when booking our trip in 2001 I swore I'd never use a TA again to book a Disney World trip, but I think in this case, it's the right decision :)

Karen: Have a great time in Disney soak up the sun and say hi to all the gang for us. :sunny:

Doreen: Can you tell us who are all the people that we have linked together in the dinning rooms? Sorry if you already wrote this but I must have missed it. I can't wait for this cruise!! :hourglass

Terry:

I always use DU and I can't say enough good things about them. They make all my Priority Seating reservations, making sure that we have a refridgerator for Bob's insulin and they took care of booking us on that new Magical Express from the airport. I didn't even know about that. Most importantly they are always happy to make any changes to my reservations and believe me there are many.

Magical Express is a new feature starting in May that you get free transportation to and from the airport and you don't need to worry about your luggage. It's just like the cruiseline transfers. You probably already know about this feature but I am alittle late on that one.

I know you made the right decision and you will be very happy with DU. :cheer2:

Quick post while we get ready for the 2 birthday parties Sandy has this afternoon. One friend's is at the bowling alley, the other at the skating rink. Should be a fun day!

Dori - Stan and I visited Portland area in Oregon in 1994. Not one drop of rain the entire week we were there. Beautiful weather, beautiful scenery, we just loved it! Two of his adult daughters live there. We went back in 1999, I think. No rain again, just beautiful skies the whole week. If I had the time I would love to come and visit you and Devin. Maybe next year????

Ginny - Stan says he is doing well with the chemo so far. I'm trying to get him to open up to me a little more and not "muscle" his way through. I've noticed he has lost some of his appetite but he hasn't admitted that yet. Overall, he's doing well. Thanks for asking, it helps.

Andy - :wave2:

Doreen - the season is young...Jaclyn could always be bumped up! If not, I'm sure she will have a good season anyway.

Karen - Hope your time in FL is just what you need!

Mary - Glad to see you can keep perspective, even under all that snow! Wishing you Sping real soon... :flower:

Ed - I just bought a Dell laptop and I'm hoping that you and Dori don't mind if I bug you a little. :badpc: You both sound so knowledgeable. :teacher:

Lyn - How are things going?

Talk later,
Darlene

Arrived home a few minutes ago from the Atlantic City area. We had a nice time and the food at the luncheon was outstanding. My grand niece was six months old and this was the first chance I got to see her in person, she looks just like her older sister, they are so cute together. Darlene, no stops in your area this time, we used the AC Expresway for the trip down and back as we were running late this morning. Our DD must have changed her clothes six times before she found the right outfit to wear, LOL!!! Alas, we did make it in time, but by only a few minutes.

Now, it's time to sit down and catch my breath!!!

Hi Everyone!!! I hope everyone is having a great day!! I am trying to pack using only one carry on (no luck!) I hate having to check in my luggage time(it takes away from my Disney timewhen I land!) I was looking at the weather forcast for next week and it shows that it is supposed to rain everyday :umbrella: I guess I will have to wear my Mickey rain poncho :earsboy:

Living here in Williamsburg,VA, Busch Gardens had their passholder preview day(sorry Mickey) so a friend and I bundled up(leggings, jeans, t-shirt and two fleece, two pair of socks, gloves, scarf and earmuffs!!! and trekked on over(2 miles from my house). After coming out of one of the shows it was snowing!!! I do need my trip to WDW on Monday!!! ::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo. I just got back home and I am trying to thaw out!!!! How much time do I have til my flight??? :hourglass I was wearing my knee brace which helped and if any of you know if you were ever to Busch Gardens it is ALL hilly. I survived the walking with several rest stops and alot of HOT coffee!!!

Lyn - It was nice to hear from you! :flower:

Doreen - How is everything back home??? Get ready for my surprise trip home next Saturday!!(Twin Trees pizza and wings???) Gosh this week in warm hopefully sunny Orlando, next Saturday in snowy, :cold: Syracuse,NY!!!

I hope everyone has a nice week and I will say hello to Mickey,Minnie and all the gang!!!!! :wave2:

Karen--I really don't wish your time at WDW to fly by, but the sonner you head to snowy NY, that means it's that much closer for us to head to :sunny: warm Florida. Come on March 22nd!!!!! :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

Doreen - One of the reasons I've been considering the wireless router is so I can go out in the yard or on the porch on nice days.

Terry - I know all about that school stuff. Devin is participating in National History Day this year. The topic is 'Communication'. Devin's project is titled, " Rennaissance, Art and Communication". He has to have the display completed by Monday. The regional competition is on the 21st.

Andy - I know about those busy days and the importance of napping. I spent several hours last night working on 'work' and was up at 6:30 this morning to complete it and send it off. I took a nap afterward (around noon) or I would have been useless the rest of the day. BTW - Love the picture! Makes me 'homesick'!

Ed, Mary - I'm trying to push spring east to you guys as quickly as I can. Wish it was working better!

Karen - Keep on treckin', girl! Glad that you're getting up and around now! We officially have another member of 'Survivors of the Battle at Wounded Knee'.

Darlene - I would love to see you guys! Portland is only 3-4 hours drive south of me. No big deal! Let me know the timeframe.

Everyone Else - :wave2:

Dori :cool1:

Dori, thanks we are really needing it.

Snow is nearly finished and we only have 7 inches! :cool1: Others were not as lucky 12+ but there are others that only got 1-3. How stinking fair it that? :confused3

Will clean it up in the morning, too late to head out now.

Thanks to those of you that sent us some pixie dust :wizard:

Not "official" yet but looks like Tim got the store. He has been OK'ed for it as long as his testing comes back fine.

Stay warm and safe everyone, good night.

Mary

Mary,

Thats great news, here some :wizard: pixie dust just to be sure

Keep in mind, our friend Mr Sun :sunny: will be here soon and so will be spring then its :flower: :flower: :flower: :flower2: :flower2: :flower1: :flower1: :flower1: flowers everywhere.

Dori, as you know if you go wireless, I hope you dont have any 2.4 ghz wireless phones. Messes with the bandwidth on those wireless routers.

You may need to make a second type of tee for the trip
'Survivors of the Battle at Wounded Knee'. :rotfl2:

Andy, you better double check the bags for the trip, you might have some stowaways going with you if this weather does get better soon. :rotfl2:

Well :grouphug: to the group
:wave2: catch you all later

ANDY .. love the countdown till spring... Its a right of passage to watch a LACROSSE game in scarfs and gloves and freeze our butts off...

LYNN.. the links I have so far are.. me and KAREN, Dori, Tina, Andy, Browns, Redles and McCauley and anyone that was already linked to those people...Like SUE I know for sure... was linked to ANDY
Any new people that want to be linked to us.. that means that those that have late seating and want to go through the DINING ROTATIONwith us and sit in the same proximitry to us.. can be linked together with us. Just PM one if us with your RESERVATION NUMBER and we call DISNEY and they link us together.. it makes for a great dinner time.. We won't all be at the same table but in the same area vs being on the other side of the room or another dining room...

Today we have SUNNY WEATHER :sunny: MARTY and I went to DANIEL'S school IRISH HOOLYlast night. Hey for $10 and all you can drink from soda wine and beer for the 2 of us, it was worth it. The cost of the ticket was worth a $10,000 grand prize,,, needless to say I still owe on our cruise..lol :rotfl2:

DORI.. I love the wireless.. it goes everywhere.. And Jaclyn is on a different level and we have 5 computers.. Good luck with it...

Ok off to play mom and wife.. have a sunny day.. and MARY I hope the snow stops your way soon... :cold:
