By the way, Darlene. You don't have to wait unitl the exhibit gets to Philadelphia, unless you want to. The exhibit will be in L.A. through mid-November. I know of at least one family going on the Repo cruise that plans on hitting the Tut exhibit before the cruise. (The one that told me about it.) Maybe you guys could make a before-cruise DISmeet out of it!

Dori :grouphug:

I think I will wait for Philly. We only have a day and a half in CA and I want to do DL for Sandy's birthday. We will have to compare notes after we both see the exhibit. :3dglasses

Darlene

Doreen, Ouch no more pain, hope all goes well. Take it slow.

Andy, same for you, small steps, beware of those slippery patches.
Maybe a frame thrower would help.
Hope all goes well at the vet. Our 15 year cat has a tumor but she is not as well as they would like( kidney issues) , but everytime we think it may be her time, she rebounds. Our dog is 3 but still thinks he's a puppy LOL :rotfl2:

Dori, any falling ash heading you way? Enjoy the Tut exhibit. Sounds interesting. I think Philly is the closest it coming here this time.

Sounds like you have an interesting story to tell about Mt. St. Helen's .
Look forward to hearing it.

Darlene, my steps & driveway were covered by Icy spots this morning.
Bring on spring, Im ready

Mary: I havent heard about the roadway up in Mass, but I suspect it was like CT, Slow going, but passable.

Sue: We are giving another trip to WDW serious thought, but most likely it will depend if good AP rates come out of Aug and if we can get them.

Oh well maybe I will need to take more of my vacation time this year :rotfl2:
Been carring over 3 to 5 days the last few years.

At least the Sun is shining today
Keep warm all.

catch you later

Hi Everyone  (Yes It is Doreen's favorite sister :teeth:) Sorry I haven't been posting but I have been reading the posts and felt it was time to get back in the swing of things!!

I was reading all the posts regarding the weather everyone is have in the northeast and with me living in Williamsburg,VA you would think I was living back in NY! Sunday and Monday we had 60 & 70's! I was wearing shorts!! By Tuesday we had rain, sleet and SNOW!! We got 6 inches of snow!, 50 - 70 mile winds along the peninsula and coast!!! and COLD 19 degress!!!

I am going to WDW next Monday for a week, I need my Mickey fix!! Also on Monday the Magici Kingdom is open til Midnight!!(Space Mountain and Splash Mountain here I come!!! Weather next week down there high 70'! I can't wait!!

Terry- I know what you are going thru with the condition you have. I have a SUNBOX that I use every morning for 30 minutes it does help with the lack of daily sunlight(did you talk to your Dr about possibly getting one?) I have the travel size and at first I was skeptical but after using it consistantly it does help!! I am also on meds to. It took almost a year to diagnose this.

Andy - Do you have a tear in you knee? I had surgery - Lateral, posterior and anterior meniscus tear along with a mobile bone spur. Pretty bad per the surgeon. I am 8 weeks post op and along with daily therapy and trying to lose weight I think it is helping me. But I can sympathize with Doreen, I can tell when the weather is going to change!

I want to say hello to everyone else in our special group  :grouphug: I hope everyone has a magical day!!!!

The injury to my knee in January was a twisted knee (slip on the ice) causing an inflamed tendon. It just happened to be the knee that I had operated on last May. The PT has been a "BIG" help, in fact I have PT today after work, two more visits next week, then I should be done with PT. We leave for Florida on March 22nd, and I know what you mean, I can't wait to get away from this weather if only for a few days (6 days to be exact). I just hope it warms up a bit in Florida, my mom said last night it got down in the low 40's overnight, but is expected to get back in the mid to upper 60's today, with a warming trend starting next week. Have a MAGICal trip to WDW Karen!!!!!

More snow and rain in the forecast for Friday and Saturday around here, Spring arrives in 10 days!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :flower: :sunny: :flower:

Welcome back, have a great trip next week,

I am beginning to think of this group as the walking wounded :rotfl2:

I ruptured my quad tendon a couple of years ago. While they put me back together well, I still feel stiffness in my knee almost every day.

Yes, we are the walking wounded group, that's for sure. :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

More reason to get to Florida's :sunny: shine and warmer temps!!!

I agree :rotfl2: . We are a bunch of walking wounded :rotfl2:

But we are a happy bunch :grouphug: and are their for each other!!!!
I think its time for a smoothie!!!! :drinking1 :drinking1 TTFN!!!!

DH Tim made it to Mass. and home safely. Was a rather interesting ride until he got on the pike though.

Terry, I have been thinking and maybe this is just a higher power's way of telling you to go see Mickey more often. :teeth: Every Feb. you just need to go to WDW. Maybe you can even have your insurance pay for it if you tell them it is "preventive medicine" :rotfl: :confused3 Well, it is worth a shot anyway.

Andy, more snow Friday and Saturday here as well. They are saying at least 6 inches! Spring and full moon are just around the corner, keep your fingers crossed for NO SNOW!

Mary

Mary--glad to hear that Tim had a safe trip!!!

Luckily with us being so much farther south, we are going to get more rain rain than snow, at least that's the last I heard anyhow.

I just got in from PT. I told the therapist, this was cruel and unusual punishment, first I walked around all day reading over 200 water meters, then I have to go to therapy and walk on the treadmill for 15 minutes at 4mph, not to mention 15 minutes on the bike, and then do all the leg exercises with a 10 pound weight strapped around my ankle. At least one good thing is coming from this, I can kick a football 100 yards, LOL!!!

Be carefull, the Jets , Giants and Eagles will want to sign you up.

quite a shock to the body when we got off the plane in AC last night it was 29 degrees. Back to reality today - had to work 12 hours today to catch up.

Good thing was that DH had an interview while we went down there that went very well so we are keeping our fingers crossed that a possible offer may be on the way very soon.

Although I'm a bit jealous... I wish you all the best and hope you hear good news with a good solid offer.
