We are: me Heather (36), dh BOB-Don (35) and dd (7).

Heather: Welcome the more the merrier. By the way we are all Disney Nuts so you fit right in.

We are a fun group  just wait and see, we can get really silly :rotfl2: It's been alittle quiet around here lately but we seem to keep the thread going. As we get closer to the cruise we'll all be on everyday.

Lyn

Andy - Thank you for the welcome. Sorry you are going back to work, but glad you are doing well enough to go back. Also late congratulations on your early retirement.

Lyn - I can see I am in good company. I am actually glad it was slow for awhile, or I don't think I could have ever caught up on this thread! :rotfl: I am glad I got the chance and will enjoy getting to know you all.

Terry - I have suffered with SAD for many years, but not every year. I am here if you need to chat.

Well, I am not sure how happy you will be with me close to departure :rolleyes1 . I always over plan and considering it is my first DCL cruise, we are all in :rolleyes1 trouble!

Hey Lyn--check out your post total 666.

Heather--I only wish about the early retirement, I got more BAD news about that the other day. It appears the report from the township treasurer wasn't all that accurate. I heard from the township administrator this past Thursday, and he said even though I have enough years in with the township, I still need to be at least 55 to have my health benfits paid for after retirement. I only hope these knees can hold out another five more years. :confused3
BTW, we are also from central South Jersey.

Andy

Andy - Real sorry to hear the change in news :sad2:. Any chance they could be wrong this time :wizard:. It will all work out either way, we could use you here in NJ for a few more years ;). I am never sure where to say I live. I am originally from North Jersey. When we went to the beach, it was always "down the shore". I live off 195. and 15 min. from Belmar.

I hope this doesn't come across wrong, but I think Angelina is very luck that you picked her. I was adopted too. My brother was also (different birth parents). My Mom mostly raised us alone, but I am lucky and have a GREAT family.

Heather we are farther south in "central" Jersey, just across the Delaware River from the Philadelphia International Airport.

My DW and I feel as though we are the lucky ones, we waited 15 years for Angelina to come into our lives, and it was worth the wait!!! :goodvibes :) :goodvibes

Andy

Andy - Most people say I am from South Jersey, but when you look at the state, it really is central. I guess along the coast as long as you are south of Sandy Hook, you are south. :confused3

I actually always argue with my Mom as to who is the lucky one! My dd is from my husband and I, but it was a difficult 5 yrs waiting. We again, have been trying for 5 yrs., and I am just about to give up. But if my dd is all there is, I have sincerely been blessed. She is very much a handfull! The things that I love about her the most, are the ones that drive me the most crazy! She has a very large personality!

Good luck Tuesday and be careful!

Heather, that is a cute photo in your sig!!! It's time for me to call it a night, got to get my rest for tomorrow!!!

Andy - BUMMER!!!! I'm sorry that you won't be able to retire as early as you thought. I was so looking forward to the camp-out on your front lawn before the cruise! :sad2:

Mary - You can send the snow my way, as long as you aim it toward the mountains for us. I know that the local skiers would appreciate more snow at this point. :umbrella:

Darlene - I have a friend at work that is interested in para-legal work, but isn't exactly sure what the job entails. I was wondering if you could PM me your email address, so she could contact you to get a better idea about it. (She is sooo ready to get out of the IT industry and wants to make sure that it won't be some sort of glorifed secretary position before she decides what she wants to do.) :badpc:

Everybody - Devin is watching over my shoulder and wants me to tell you guys "HI!". :jumping1:

Dori :cool1:

Well, it's just after 5am here on the east coast and I couldn't sleep any longer. I woke up at 4:50 after having a dream that I had just returned to work and my work car was sitting there waiting for me. It's funny, I even remembered the license plate number and that was in my dream as well. In a few shorts hours, I will be out hitting the pavements again. Lucky me, at least it "isn't" freezing cold here this morning.

We will still be staying at my mom's house the night before our August 2006 cruise, so bring your tent along with you, I'm sure my mom won't mind!!!

ANDY
Hope you have a good day at work. Watch those knees!
Just an opinion: Did you get your response from the Admin in writing? The policy must be written down somewhere, Personnel Policy, Union Contract, Resolution. I'd want to see it for myself before dashing all hope.
And just in case you DO need to wait the extra 5 years, remember, slow and steady wins the race.
Darlene

Heather: Your daughter is gorgeous!!! :flower:

Andy: I can't believe that they told you that you could retire and then turn around and say you can't. You would think they would have checked everything out before they told you in the first place. :confused3 How depressing now you have to work for five more years.

Lyn

Darlene:

Matt is fine health wise. He is doing well being a teenager, tormenting his parents. He is getting ready for prom, senior trip and basically having a good time for the rest of his senior year.

In one way I can't wait for June so that we can be done with school, but in another way I am sad because my baby is growning up. At graduation I will be a mess, when my oldest graduated I cried through the whole ceremony. Just imagine what I will be like when they get married.

Lyn

Just got in for lunch, the morning went O.K., having some pain, but other than that it wasn't too bad, except to find out that I am 6 meter books behind where I should be this quarter. Looks like I have my work cut out for me between now and April 1st.

BTW, I'm still going to try and find in writing what the township policy is about retirement, wish me luck.

GOOD LUCK, ANDY!!!!!!

Here's some pixie dust to bless your efforts!
:wizard: :wizard: :wizard: :wizard:

And a few good vibes, for good measure.
:goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

LYN - I can totally relate about graduation. It is certainly a bitter-sweet time, for all of you. I'm glad Matt is feeling well and enjoying the rest of his senior year. Go ahead and cry...you're the mom. I'd love to see you post a photo from the Prom. Oh heck, maybe I'll go ahead and cry with you...

Darlene

Andy & Lyn - Thank you both for the compliments on my dd. The only problem is she knows it. It also has a way of getting her out of trouble. Everybody thinks she is such an angel! :rolleyes1

Andy: Hope the rest of your day was OK. Hopefully you got a chance to put your feet up and relax. Also, I agree with Darlene, check what it says on paper. I will send pixie dust to you and hope for the best.
:wizard: :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: :wizard:

Lyn: I cried at my dd's preschool graduation! I cried at her 1st dance recital. I guess I am in alot of trouble for the future. :confused3

I hope everyone is feeling better :flower:

After lunch I turned the meter book that I had finished and got the next book and got started on that one. I came home after work, rested my knee, and kept putting ice on it to help bring the swelling down from being on it all day. The ice did help, I felt much better by bedtime. One good thing I found when I woke up this morning, "NO" snow like I heard we might get before I went to bed last night, that made me feel better this morning!!!

:wave2:

Andy,

I got your snow this time :rotfl2:
Got 1/4 inch of the icy stuff here in CT.

Ed in CT,

Hey Ed,

As far as I'm concerned, you can keep all that white stuff, I don't care if I never, ever, see anymore of that stuff again. The problem is, we are supposed to have some more Thursday afternoon, than again more early next week.

Glad to see you found your way over to our cruise meets thread!!!

Andy
