We are in cabin 6144, we didn't leave the ship today at Nassau, so I really don't have an opinion on that. I did enjoy the weather here though!!!

Hazel and I went and saw The Incredibles this morning, then went to see Golden Mickeys this afternoon and a comedy show before our second seating dinner.

We are really enjoying this time away, we might even start to do it more often (if Angelina says it's O.K.), LOL!!!

I have a few more messages to check then I'm heading off to bed. We are scheduled to arrive at CC at 8am tomorrow morning. We leave Nassau at 2am.

Bye for now,

Andy

P.S. I got a little too much sun resting on the deck 7 secret verandah this afternoon, but it sure felt good compared to what the weather was like up home!!!!!

Andy

6144 was the exact same room we had on the Wonder this past August.

Sue,

Now how funny is that!!! We really like our cabin and it's location. Last night when we got back to our room we had a postcard in our little fish mail holder by our door. The postcard read, something like this: "Happy Anniversary from your neighbors aboard the Disney Magic." We have no idea who sent it, but it was quite touching to both Hazel and I.

We will be docking soon at CC. Hazel was still fast asleep when I left the room a few minutes ago. I went up to Topsiders to bring some breakfast back for the two of us, but Topsiders wasn't open yet, they are getting to open right about now, so I'm going to head back there, my tummy is making noises, I think it wants some food!!!

A real quick note, we did rebook the 8-19-06 cruise onboard last evening, and you and Vicki are still signed up as our tablemates. Looking forward to meeting you both "next year!!!"

Cheers Andy, Excellent news.Look forward to seeing you and yours as well. Enjoy your breakfast and your day at CC.

Sue

Ok we got a bit of snow and ice.. not enough for a snow day... much to Daniel's disappointment...
We are expecting about 3/4 inch of ice about 10 and 1pm today.. maybe they will be sent home early.

So far both kids are doing better health wise... thanks for asking..

Andy and Hazel. sounds like you are having a great time.. enjoy CC. i cant wait for us to go there 2 times... and once at least for Darlene and Stans wedding... the other for Sue's.. :bride:

Bev where do you sail out of with CARNIVAL?? If its Port Canaveral.. than hands down you have to stay at the RADISSON... :moped:

Ok we gave Mary Rose plenty of time to come back on.. so here is one number... 6 :rolleyes1 not saying where in the phone number that goes.. but its a number.... :smooth:

I just realized that I was remiss in my duties as the OFFICIAL WEEKLY CRUISE COUNTDOWN person! Last Friday, New Year's Eve, I never posted a weekly countdown! So...a week late....here it is:

85 weeks (as of 12/31/04) to go till our cruise!!!! :boat:

:teeth:

There will be the usual weekly countdown tomorrow!!

Andy: Have the BEST time at Castaway Cay today!! Have a drink and enjoy the sunshine for the rest of us! :sunny: We woke up to a blizzard, kids have a snow day today!!

Doreen: I'm glad that the kids are feeling better. Nothing worse than when our kids aren't well :( Sending big hugs from our family to yours :grouphug:

Bev: Congrats on booking the Carnival cruise! Here's another vote for the Radisson :)

Everyone: I think it's wonderful how people around the world, young and old, are contributing funds to help the victims of the tsunami, but especially the kids who are being selfless and giving up their own money and possesions. I cannot imagine the devastation, even watching the footage on the news, it seems unreal, like scenes from a disaster movie :(

Hi all -

Did you receive my present on the east coast? We had about 10 inches of snow where I live. It's still snowing 36 hours since the snow moved in, but the sun is starting to come out and the snow should stop this morning.

No snow day for the kids - they were really hoping for a free day to go sledding. They don't cancel school for very much around here - we have to have about an 18 inch storm for anything to shut down.

Take care all of you in this storm's path. Especially those of you due to get the ice portion of it.

Denise

Darlene - According to the home page of the company website this morning, as of last night employees have already donated over $252,000. This program was only announced on Monday. It will be interesting to see what the grand total is at the end of the month. I wouldn't be surprised if we manage to exceed the $1 million mark, which the company will have to match. Wouldn't that be cool?

The kids in the gifted program at Devin's Junior High are spearheading the fundraising activities for the school. Once the kids expressed interest in the idea, the teachers figured that it would make a great 'service program' learning experience. The kids will be getting the word out and collecting money at lunchtime. Last night Devin gathered up all of the pennies he had in his various piggy-banks and took about $8 of pennies to school today. (I'm sure that he would have donated more, but he spent the rest of the money he had last month buying Christmas presents. We made him contribute 1/3 of the funding for his own shopping this year.)

Dori :cool1:

Sue how can you forget your own wedding?? Andy, be on the lookout for suitable SUITOR for SUE while at CASTAWAY CAY.. he will have to come back with us next year and go by our intuition that she is a great catch.. Heck he will have a yr to get to know her though. :bride:

Terry.. We can't fire you but we may have to repremand you... no ORANGE DREAMSICLES for you for one week... :smooth:

Denise.. we got some ice.. not enough for a snow day here either.. more the south of NEW YORK STATE got it. I am in CENTRAL NY. :moped:

:rockband: LET the ICE BEGIN.. this is the most ICE I have seen since GINNY STEALS all mine.... :rockband:

DORI - Corporations AND children! It will be the combined efforts of ALL people, no matter what the contribution, that will bring relief to that ravaged part of the world. Prayer is worth more than money, so say a prayer (and send a $1, too).

Give my best to Devin in his efforts! His pennies are just as important as Sandra Bullock's $1 million. He gave what he had, that is all anyone can ask. God Bless him.

OK, now I am getting confused! There are 2 Denise's, right. 1 in PA is getting rained on and the other Denise in Chicago (is that right?) is buried in snow. Do I have that right? Somewhere I got lost...sorry.

We are experiencing a cold, rainy day. ANDY...wish I were with you and Hazel.

Darlene

Hazel and I left the ship a little before 9am for CC, we had a great day, but for those who are cruising here soon, when you first walk in the water, watch out, it sure was a shocker from our August cruise.

After four hors in the hot sun, Hazel had enough, so we headed back to the ship. Hazel is up in our cabin taking a nap.

We were invited to the bridge at 4:45pm to watch the Magic sail away from CC, so I guess you know where we will be later this afternoon, after we get showers and get clean duds on!!!

Sue, I found your man. When I tried to "ROPE" him in for you, he lifted me above his shoulders and threw me in the water. I guess I will have to keep searching for you, LOL!!!

SNOW and ICE, two words I don't even want to think about, yuck!!! :guilty:

Catch up with all of you later,

Andy

I'm sorry to hear that Denise in PA is getting our weather. Hey Denise, I know where your snow went... We're expecting a storm to hit sometime this afternoon.

You can have your snow back if you want. I don't mind driving in the rain, but I HATE driving in the snow. The problem isn't that I'm not a skilled 'snow driver', but there are three military bases in this county and there are way too many folks around here that have never had to deal with snow and those that have usually seems to come from the midwest where there aren't any hills. (I can assure you that driving in snow in the 'flatlands' is totally different. It's not just the terrain either, the snow we get around here is usually pretty wet... I've only seen powder once in the 30+ years I've lived here. Our snow packs so nicely into sheets of ice, then add the hills.) So, I usually prefer to burrow into my cave and ignore the whole mess!

Dori :umbrella:

Darlene - you are correct, there are two Denises. Me (from Chicagoland) is the one with the snow. The snow, BTW, finally stopped and the sun is out. The roads are still miserable, though, for the time being.

Dori - I'll take snow any day. Usually, people take heed and slow down. You still get the people that drive too fast, however. And like you said, its pretty flat here- no real hills to worry about. The big problem are the overpasses and the on / off ramps to the expressways. Always an issue.

Denise

DENISE - Thanks, I will try to find a way to keep it straight.

Stay warm!

Andy, did you tell him why you were "ROPING" him down first?? see you send a man for a women's job. Now Hazel did it right.. we should have had her look for Sue's husband.... :flower1:
How did you get "invited" to the BRIDGE. We never did do that large BRIDGE tour with TRAVIS and JASON. Did anyone ever get to go??

Denise in Chicago sent us this ICE... we have her to thank for it.. Denise in PA still has RAIN.. (sorry). We have all cancellations tonight..

OK still no MARY ROSE... so the next numner is 7.. COME OUT COME OUT WHERE EVER YOU ARE..... :Pinkbounc :cool1:

Doreen

If you go over to the thread We are "LIVE" from the Magic 1-4-05 on the Cruise Forum Board you can read about our experience meeting Captain Thord and our adventure on the bridge. I still gets goose bumps thinking about what happened today.

I can tell you this much, Captain Thord reads the DISboards to keep abreast of everyone's comments, feelings and concerns about DCL.

It's been a very LONG day and I'm going to close for now.
