I had some post cards from Disney left over so I sent mine out.
I will ask DANIELS teacher if I supply the stamps and post cards if they can send them out from the kids from SYRACUSE..

Cindy I did my HALLOWEEN candy shopping. I confess.. I am week.... I got SNICKERS....TOOTSIE-ROLLS, BUTTER FINGERS,CRUNCH BARS, I am week... help me.....
I think as punishment I need to go on a DCL cruise for 3-4 days..

We get about 100 kids around here. and I turn the lights out at 8am... after that its the older kids that shouldnt be out anyway,,lol

I booked our own AIR as well, you can find much less expensive airfaire on your own than what DCL will charge you. I usually start looking in FEBRUARY for the price wars... to start. The night before the cruise most of us will be staying at the same hotel this time.. you will be out to sea... Keep the ship cozy for us.

Doreen, I do know that I can get air for less $$$. As I said in my prior post the air was taken care of by my Mom (she usually takes my family and my brother's on a yearly vacation) so I never had to worry about or consider this aspect of vacation and usually when the five of us travel we drive so the air isn't a issue. Dh, on the other hand, wants to just book with DCL and as he says "just be done with it." Knowing that I can save $$$, I'm not giving in so easily. Just the air deviation fee for the five of us is $250!! Heck, that $$$ might just buy me a couple of spa treatments (and if he's lucky maybe a massage for him ). I get so swept up in reading all your posts that I keep forgetting that we'll be on the ship the week prior to all you guys. Don't worry I'll have the ship all ready for you when you arrive.

Lisa: We've never purchaded air with a package, we've always booked everything separately, on our own. I like being able to choose the exact flights that we'll be on.

Doreen: I'm feeling a little better today. Just sipping tea and watching a show on the Discovery Channel about Alaskan King crab fishing. Wow, those little boats really get tossed around out there on the ocean!! Right now they're showing one of the boats that is almost capsized, and the Coast Guard helicopter is trying to rescue them.....

I like the fact that I can choose our flights too. Actually we've had pretty good luck with our DCL flights. The only problem we encountered this last cruise was we didn't receive our documents until 10 days prior to cruise and when we called Delta to get our seating assignments we found out we weren't sitting together at all and scattered all over the plane!! However, when we checked in we ended up sitting in groups of three (my Mom was with us) so it wasn't too bad. It wasn't until we got home that I read here at the DIS** that if you booked air with DCL and even if you didn't have your documents yet you could call DCL and get your flight information 30 days prior to cruise. Wish I had known that!! Oh well, live and learn!

Hi Lisa...How is mom doing sis? Tell mom if you talk to her first that I will book my own air and when she pays my cruise in full, she can just put the money she saved on airfare on my stateboard account.

Oh Lisa, Is it just us 2 sisters or do we have other siblings?

The boards are doing some strange things for sure. When I go to the main boards... I cant sign off and go to KAREN's name to try to do her image again,,, and her clock. It was there this morning now its gone...
So Joanna, you and Sue are now sisters>> can your mom adopt me too??
Looks like tonight may be the end of the WORLD SERIES... They are on a roll....

Our first cruise I had DCL do everything. I thought it would be safer and easier to let them arrange our flights. When I realized how much I paid for airfare I choked! Now I always book my own flights.

I just talked with Stan. The doctor had been in and said they may take one of the drains out and the other one is looking good. Hooray! No idea when he is coming home yet but I feel alot more positive after hearing that news. Hopefully we are getting away without further surgery.

I combined 3 days worth of lunches and went to spend the afternoon with him. I have to tell you what he said when I walked in the door and surprised him! "I knew the sun was out today...and it just walked through my door." Talk about making a girl melt... That made even a hospital gown look sexy.
