Andy- May God keep you all in his sight, and see you through this difficult time. :grouphug:

I think that would be great fun if you and Hazel dressed in your pirate gear and enjoyed the Homecoming Dance with Angelina! :rotfl: I'm sure she will feel the same way.

Angelina-My mom always threatened to come to my school, and I always told my son I would love to chaperone a dance, but the answer was a firm NO. Enjoy the Homecoming Dance and have a great time.

At least your parents are cool.

I think the decal looks a lot like the old-time luggage travel stickers, like this:

Are these "Shoreside Survivor Kits" sent out randomly after a cruise? I know we didn't get one after our 8/2004 cruise.

I got to see Red Skelton when I was in college. It was a wonderful evening. Ron and I saw some of his clown paintings he did when we were in Maui. We even got an invitation to his gallery showing and dinner. I truly think it was sent to us by mistake, although we did just comission a painting from the gallery by another artist. I was surprised that you knew who he was Jeff.

Andy............Glad to hear some good news for your niece.

As for colds, I hope I get less this year. When we were on the ship, I joked about the CMs coming to my school and handing out the wipes. Little did I know that it is exactly what we are doing this year. I have 2 children in my class with life threatening allergies (nuts, peanut butter, eggs, etc.). Since our class session is after lunch or a car picnic, we need to make sure nobody is bringing any of those things in the class. Who would have thought? So my class is ready for their first field trip on a Disney cruise. :teeth:

:wave2: Well, let me be the first to welcome Bev and Lindsay back from their 11 day Southern Caribbean Cruise. I know they are spending an extra few days in Florida, but I just wanted to say "Welcome Home" anyway!!! We can't wait to hear all about your cruise!!! :wave2:

We received our survival kit today. No magnet, no survey, but it still nice to have the surprise in the mail.

I agree 100% - I bet its designed to look like those old luggage stickers. But it doesn't work as well on a car as it does on luggage.

Hey, I still never got any survery from our cruise. :furious:

And we never got any castaway club cards - we did get a letter telling us our numbers but never any cards.

I got "volunteered" to go on DDs class trip to Sandy Hook, NJ today. They collected shells on the beach and went seining. Weather was gorgeous - my face is pretty sunburned.

But it was quite a shock seeing the "darker" waters of the Altantic Ocean as opposed to the blue turquoise of the Caribbean.

There was even a dead stingray (skate) washed up on the beach.

So glad to hear the pier in Cozumel finally opened.

Just a real quick update: Lisa got a call today, the heart surgeon decided he was going to put a stint in next Friday October 6th, Lisa has also been placed on the Priority List for a kidney transplant. Once Lisa receives her new kidney, then the other heart surgery will be done.

Peggy is home, but she is still waiting for the biopsy results.

Thanks everyone for your words of support and comfort, and also especially for the prayers, we know they are working!!! :goodvibes

We came home to another Shoreside Survival Kit today!! :sunny: After looking closely at both of them, I saw that the Kit from the other day was addressed to DSs' last name, and this Kit was addressed to mine and DHs last name.

The Kit today has the car magnet in it! :woohoo: It's too nice to put on the car though, I'm afraid someone would take it, so it's going to be a fridge magnet. :teeth:

After our cruise in 2004 we received 2 Kits too, so I'm not surprised that we got 2 Kits again this time. Last time they each had our CC Club cards in them, this time they only contained the CD and the magnet.

:sunny: :3dglasses :smooth: pirate: :hourglass 98 weeks until the August 16th, 2008 cruise!!

99 weeks until the August 23rd, 2008 cruise!!
:sail: :boat: :fish: :sunny:

Have a great weekend, everyone!! :sunny:

Thanks for the countdown reminder. Both dates in double digits now!!!!

Andy, good to hear things are turning around for your family. Here's hoping for continued good news.

And I got such a laugh at the confusion over "Andy" being fired. I was going to pm famof8 to say that rumor was bogus when the moderator pointed out it was fake.

I've been reading these boards for several years and that was the most hurtful thing I've ever read. But then posters thought it was you...lol...

Nice to have a good chuckle in the morning.

Seaspray...you gotta put the car magnet on the car and show off that you sailed DCL. :woohoo:

Hello Everyone.. wow this browser has not been very nice to me lately..

Ok anyway.. Andy glad to see things are getting a bit better at your end.. I know how scarey it can be to have family in the hospital.
how is your mom doing as well??

Well, I also, got the dreaded phone call of my sugery date.. The 24th of OCTOBER and its overnight.. they call it 23* and at least 2 weeks of post op pain,..lol :rotfl2: :lmao:
I will keep you posted..

My kids too had homecoming week this week.. They had a whole week of themed dress ups.. Last night due to rain,, Daniel missed out on the PIE throwing..at the Pres of Student Council.. (he is VP). Jaclyn had what they call powder puff football game.. Senior girls vs Jr girls.. and the guys cheer... Its so funny to watch touch football. :woohoo:

Terry we also, got 2 Shoreside Surival Kits.. one to the kids and 1 to me.. No Magnet in ours either.. :confused3
They are a bit drab.. and I wouldnt risk the chance of it being taken off my car either.. Maybe you can scan it and make a copy of it and put it on your own magnet paper... Around here.. so many kids used to take the Pink Breast Cancer Ribbons and The Yellow Ribbons for the Soldiers off the cars.. Some put them on the car intennas for safety...or the front of the cars to try to deter them from taking them all together..

PAGE 2 tbc..lol

Doreen--I'll send extra good wishes for your surgery date 10/24 since that will be Hazel and my 31st wedding anniversary, 31 years, I don't know how she has put up with me all these years, LOL!!! :lmao:

My mom is doing good, she is starting a part-time job warking as a "Home Companion." This way she doesn't have to renew her LPN License and she can make a few extra bucks. She really enjoys working with people, so this job is right up her alley. :goodvibes

Doreen....good luck with everything. Sending you a basket of pixie dust.

Andy...........more pixie dust for you too.

All of your families has had a lot to deal with this year, I hope things turn around soon.

Doreen: Best wishes to you with your surgery on the 24th. I hope you have a quick recovery.

Julia: Thanks for the link to your video, I enjoyed watching it :3dglasses How did you like the Animal Kingdom Lodge? I love that resort :sunny:

I like the way the room is in the dolphin better, but I hated the pillows there which I loved the pillows at Animal kingdom and I liked that the animals were like right out the window, also the arcade at Animal kingdom became adictted to the one game lol. It was a nice hotel, but just wouldn't be my first, just not my style.
