Man, did I just wake up from the strangest dream. It was almost like the "Dream of the Living Dead." It wasn't scary, but several of my family members that have passed away over the past few years were in the dream, I'm just glad I woke up this morning to find out "I" was still "ALIVE!!!"

It was nice seeing my departed family members again, but spooky at the same time. :teeth:

All three of Hazel's relatives are now home from the hospital. In fact, Peggy stopped by last night and took Angelina, along with her daughter, to the shoe store to buy new shoes for the Homecoming Dance tonight. It's driving Peggy a little crazy, but she is still waiting word from her doctor about all of her test results. Thanks again for everything folks!!! :goodvibes

Terry, Mary Rose and Andy.. if the dates come on and you dont see me on here.. Please CALL ME>..I may not be on line if I am laid up for a few days.. I dont want to miss a day of it..

I am sure I will be on. but if you can imagine it will be tough to sit for awhile..

Andy so glad things are going well with your family..

JOANNA>. how are things with you??

MARYROSE.. I miss your humor...

TERRY.. how is college??

We are going to NYC to check out a college in October.. wahoo.. why not make it a weekend get away... Will anyone be in the area??
I love pardon the expresion... "Autumn in NY.."

Tomorrow is the Making Strides Walk here in Central NY... hopefully we will have a nice day for it..

DD has been sick since the cruise with sinus trouble and they did blood work for mono again.. if that is negative.. she will have to do a sinus series.. with xrays and MRIS..
I hate the change of seasons...
HAve a great weekend everyone.. it was 39* here at 515am.. now its 52* brrrrr... I thinks its blankie time..

Ok gotta go.. Elaine is here now. Take care everyone..

DOREEN

Doreen...Good Luck to you! I have had the same sinus problems. Finally today it is better because it is cooler out.

Which college are you going to see in NYC?

Amanda was invited to go to Australia next summer with People to people.Has anyone done it or have friends who have done it. Her friend went this year, but to France, Italy & Greece. Next year is Australia.

LS is going great! I'm booking January now to keep myself in business LOL

let me know when you are sure of your dates to NYC. And hey, if she visits Stony Brook, remember you are coming HERE for dinner!!!!

Doreen's DD, Jaclyn, did People to People also to Australia and enjoyed it very much. I took her to a few meetings and was very interested in all that it entailed. I think it is such a great opportunity for the children to travel and learn about another culture.

Just got back from Curves; had a good workout. It is cold here this AM; brrrrr :rotfl: I had the wood stove inspected the other day and am pleased to say that my son has done a very good job keeping it in good running order. The fireplace guy said all looked good and we were good to go. I'm thinking of starting a fire just to take the chill out of the house.

My son is at Cornell University today taking the LSAT for entrance into Law School. I think I can get used to saying "My son, the Lawyer", and remember, John, so he can take care of his mother in the manner she will become accustomed to!!! :rotfl:

Andy- I'm glad that things are looking better for your family. How did Pirates go last night for the homecoming? Did you and Hazel dress up and join in the festivities?

Terry and Mary Rose, I think our 4 way phone call should be a once a month catch up. I hope both of your families are doing well and hope Craig has adjusted to college well.

Here's to everyone having a great weekend.

Good morning everyone :wave2: :sunny:

Andy: I watched my mother die exactly 3 years ago (she actually died Oct 12th, but it all started around this time) and I had some very, very strange and vivid dreams for the next 2 years after that. Some were good; my mother was alive and the dream was "normal". But some included her dying all over again and I'd wake up sobbing because it felt so real. The sobbing in my dream was what woke me up!? Anyway, those dreams are few and far between now, and mostly now when I have a dream with my mother in it, they're "normal" dreams. It is sad to wake up and for a moment realize she really is gone though, I miss her a lot. :( Oh well. But due to my religious beliefs, from what I've read in the bible, I believe I will see my mother again, on this earth. :)

I'm so glad to hear that all of your relatives are out of the hospital today :)

Doreen: College is great, I like all of my professors.... Oh wait. You mean, how is college going for Craig?? (tee-hee!) :p It's going well for him. He's having a little trouble with his physics class. Apparently the class he's in is full of juniors who are majoring in aviation (his college is one of the best avaiation schools around. In fact, the son of one of John's colleagues is going there and plans on becoming a commercial pilot). Craig said the professor is very good though, so he's optimistic that he'll do well in the class. All of his other classes are going very well. Thanks for asking :)

I hope Jaclyn feels better soon. All of my life I've had sinus trouble. Some years it felt like I had a continuous sinus infection. Lately, it hasn't been too bad, but this time of year I get allergies so I've been feeling some sinus pain and pressure off and on. Please tell her I hope she feels better soon.

Joanna: My nephew went to Stony Brook!! He played football there, and now he's onto his master's degree at another college in upstate NY, while assistant-coaching for their football program. I forget which college though :scratchin

Elaine: I think the idea for a monthly 4-way phone call is an excellent one. :thumbsup2 I really had a lot of fun that day chatting with all of you. And I was surprised that each of was able to talk and we didn't talk all over each other. :chat: LOL!! I bet we could get more than 4 people in on that phone call. LOL

Congrats to your DS on taking the LSATs!! I'm sure he will do very well! :teacher: My 15 yr old DS is a sophomore this year but he'll be taking the PSATs anyway, next month (they usually take them in their junior year). He's already taken the SATs twice; when he was in 7th grade and again in 8th grade, through the John Hopkins program. He did VERY, VERY well on them! LOL He was disappointed when he didn't take them last year. LOL He thinks the SATs are "fun". Stange child! (Not really. lol)

Have a great weekend, everyone! It's a crisp fall day here in New England!! :sunny:

How did Pirates go last night for the homecoming? Did you and Hazel dress up and join in the festivities?

The Homecoming football game was last night which our team won 49-14, our team is 4-0 so far this year, and we have been sectional state champs for 3 out of the last 4 years. In the last 4 years, our team has only lost 2 games. I'm just bragging a little. ;) Before we have the coach that we have now, the team didn't do very well, this coach has really turned the entire football program around!!! :teeth:

The Homecoming Dance is tonight. Hazel just got Angelina home from having her nails and hair done, she looks stunning. I can't wait to see her all dressed up later. If you know me, pics will follow, LOL!!! :lmao:

Here is a pic of Angelina and her date Kyle, as they are getting ready to leave for the Homecoming Dance. The wallhanging behind Angelina is from the town were she was born Oaxaca(Wah-hock-ah), Mexico. We brought that wallhanging back with us when we brought Angelina home to America. :goodvibes

Andy: Angelina looks gorgeous, as always! :goodvibes I hope she had a good time at the Homecoming dance :)

Regarding the dates for 2008: During our cruise in August, my travel Agent Chuck said the same thing, that he'd heard that the dates and rates for summer 2008 would probably not be out for quite a while. He said they may not even be out by the time we cruise again in February. Of course, he was only basing that on the information he'd been given by DCL at the time, and they could always change that at any time, but now it's the same thing that Tom McAlpin just said on the 11-night cruise, so it seems valid.

Guess we'll just have to keep waiting. :hourglass

Angelina looks beautiful.....love the dress.

Yes, I saw the same post about the release of the 2008 dates. Boy I hope that is just a red herring and that DCL will surprise us and release the dates before the end of the year.

But if its true then I think its a really bad pattern DCL is starting by releasing the dates so late. Because if it turns out that the itineraries aren't something we want (like the Med) then we've wasted a lot of time by not booking somewhere else in the interim. Time is money.

At this point I'd just like to know if DCL is going back to the standard Eastern/Western.

For those of you that stayed at the Raddison the night before the cruise, did you like it? (I know a few of you had some problems.) Would you go back? Where else would you stay in the area?

Thanks a bunch.

We've stayed at the Radisson the night before 4 of our 5 cruises, and we never had a problem, I'm sure we will be back there again. :goodvibes

I am also looking for another place to stay besides the Radisson. I stayed there twice, both times before my DCL cruise. In all honesty, I paid $99 and truthfully that Radisson is not worth more than that. They are now asking $159 a night, so I am looking elsewhere. Someone mentioned the Residence Inn and said it includes breakfast. We'll see.

Let me know if you find something else.
Thanks
Joanna

We didnt have any problems
We would use them again

Shirley: We've stayed at the Radisson twice in their 2 king beds, 2 room suite and enjoyed both stays very much. Not to mention the convenience. We don't rent a car so we like the shuttle to the port, too.

Elaine...I will have to call Doreen and question her about Australia if Amanda decides it is a must do. She tells me that if I worry about things, I will never live my life, because my worry will always stop me. This from a 14 year old. No wonder she wants to go into Psychiatry. She tells me, don't worry mom, you are IN my head. LOL

Does any seasoned DISer remember the website for Dave from Marietta and Barb and Tony? Please let me know if you do.
Thanks
Joanna
