Good morning, fellow Castaway Cruisers! :sunny:

I found us on Page 2 :surfweb: I can't believe it's Monday morning already. Where did the weekend go to?? LOL :confused3 Robby was hardly home this weekend; he spent Friday night and Saturday night at his friend Mike's house (they had band practice and recorded one of their songs), and then went to a video game party at another friend's house yesterday afternoon. Craig had work on Saturday and Sunday, but went out to dinner and to the mall with some of his friends from college on Saturday night. Ah, to be a teenager again. :smooth: LOL

I hope everyone had a good weekend. I must admit that I *finally* got around to putting away the last of the souvenirs and vacation gear from our trip last month. lol I didn't put our snorkel gear or summer clothes or the tote bags I use for vacations in storage though because we'll be needing them in a few months for our Wonder cruise. :sail: :goodvibes

Do any of you like Yankee Candles? We bought a few new ones this weekend. I love to burn candles with scents that match the season. I bought "Ginger Spice Cookies" this smells so good, just like gingerbread cookies, and reminds me of the fall and winter. I also bought "Pumpkin Pie", and "Cranberry Chutney". Mmmm...!! My house really smells like "fall" now! :teeth:

Oh want to hear something cool? Remember I mentioned that my niece was sailing on the new Royal Caribbean ship Freedom of the Seas? Well she had sent me a link to the webcam for the port of Miami and I was playing around with it yesterday (it's interactive, you can actually click on any area that the camera is facing and it will ZOOM in!). Anyway, we have a history of calling each other from our ships when we go on cruises, so she had called me to let me know they made it down there and that they were on the ship, right near the surf pool at the back of the ship. We hung up, I started to play around with the web cam, and next thing I know, I'm zooming in on the surf pool. I called her back and told her, so she went back to the surf pool area (she was heading back that way anyway), and I was able to get several shots of her on the ship! How cool is that?! :goodvibes She's very small in the picture of course, but it's definitely her! LOL If I upload them later,I'll post one here. :3dglasses

Mary Rose: I haven't seen "Eight Below" yet, but I did catch the end of an older Disney movie called "Cool Runnings". It's based on the true story of the first ever Jamaican bobsled team. Anyway, I ALWAYS cry at the end when the team crashes their sled during the Olympics but they all get out and carry the sled across the finish line, and everyone applauds them. Waaahhh!! LOL I'm such a sap!! :teeth: I'll have to check out "Eight Below". ::yes::

Well I guess that's all the news from here. I hope you all have a great week!! :grouphug:

Terry...that was cute. We were watching "Cool Runnings" here too. I also so cry no matter how many times I see that movie.

Andy thanks for the video.. Martha Stewart... had them on last week as well..I though it was great..I wish I can change that fast ...
MARY ROSE tell TARYN she did a fantastic job.. Was that done with POWER POINT?? Daniel did a LS presentation for me with PP and i was amazed at what you can do with it..

Well, I have seen that I have posted things on here and it was never to be seen again..lol
All the jewelry was sent out.. To all those that attended the first MAGIC LS show Thank you very much.. You should be receiving it by Tuesday... Ihad to wait for a bank check to clear... I really appreciate you taking the time to come and see what I do and see the wonderful items I have.

Did it come through about not being able to donate blood since we went to COSTA MAYA??

DOREEN

Hi All,

Sitting here at home today waiting for the doc to call in a prescription for me. The poison ivy spread over the weekend, so it's time to take action and get this under control. With the help of Benadryl, I have been able to sleep, sleep, and sleep some more, it also helps to take the itching away!!!

Well, it's time to get some more sleep!!! :lmao:

:wave2:

HELLO!

Just trying to catch up with everyone.

MARY ROSE - I just loved Taryn's video. I'm so glad she had such a great time! And now I got to relive our good time through her video. Tell her thanks!!

Talk later,
Darlene

Andy.....so glad you went to see the doc right away about the poison ivy. DH is extremely allergic to it and we have bottles of ivy dry all over the house. We feel the same way, if you aren't getting relief within a day then go straight to the doc and don't take chances.

My DB had a terrible case of poison ivy when he bought his house and used electric hedge clippers to get rid of what he thought was just harmless ivy that was growing all over his back fence.

It was poison ivy.

It was all over his body (including unmentionable places). Fortunately he didn't get it in his lungs.

We missed seeing 8 Below when it was in the movie theaters. So we just watched it on DVD. I had to get up and leave because I was crying so hard. DD managed to watch it all through tears, but I just couldn't.

But as a snow freak I just adored all the outdoor shots of the vast expanses of snow and ice.

Yes, I did read the post that we cannot donate blood because we were in Costa Maya. I never would have even guessed that would be true.

And thanks to everyone who is sharing their cruise photos. I love reliving our cruise. I really have to learn to take more pictures. I have a digital camera but I still keep thinking I'll run out of film so I won't take as many pics as I should.

It must of been the weekend for watching Cool Runnings

I watched it too, didnt Cry, but Ive seen the movie many times too.

Terry that sounds neat that you were able to see her on the web cam.

Well sad to say, I didnt have the winning powerball ticket, so its another week of work. But at least its another day closer to whenever the 2008 rates come out :cool1:

Doreen--it's so funny, Hazel has Udder Balm right here in the house and I never thought to use that, LOL!!! The doc gave me Prednisone to take for the next 12 days and I picked up some Aveeno cream for the itching, both have already started working quite well.

Hazel just left and is off the hospital with two of her sisters. The one sister Lisa is having open heart surgery this morning. Lisa knows there is a possibility that she might not make it through the surgery, so any and all prayers would be appreciated. The doc wanted to do Lisa's surgery last week, but she told the Doc she had to wait until after the wedding we went to this past Saturday. Hazel has yet another sister by the name of Peggy that has been in the hospital since last Wednesday, she is now being tested for stomach and esophagus(sp) cancer, the same thing that Hazel's brother Dave died of in April 2004.

Andy...prayers to you and Hazel. God willing everything will be ok.

Doreen...no jewelry yet...maybe today.

Thanks everyone, but things are not looking good for Lisa. Hazel just called and told me some bad news. The doctors needed to run some tests on Lisa's kidneys before they would even attempt to do the heart surgery. The test results came back bad and Lisa needs a kidney transplant before any heart surgery can be done. This is a Catch-22 situation, Lisa was taken off the kidney transplant list a few weeks ago because of having the bad heart. The heart is only working at about 25% and the doctor told her that her heart could stop beating at any time without getting the pace maker put in. Needless to say, Lisa is a basket case and needs to make some phone calls. This added stress is not good for her heart either.

We are still waiting word on Peggy's latest test results.

To put a topper on this, my mom just called and told me that my aunt passed away. Ain't life grand!!!

My God Andy, when it rains, it pours for your family. Added prayers for Lisa..can she go on dialysis (or is she already on this?) as a temporary fix. Boy, when you have your health, it is worth more than all the money in the world. Hugs to Hazel and you.

Doreen....DH said the mail just came and we got the jewelry!!

Hazel just walked in the door, she told me that Lisa's heart doctor and kidney doctor are trying to work something out, we just have to keep praying that it doesn't take too long.

A biopsy was done this morning on Peggy and we are waiting to hear the reults from that test. The doc said there was inflamation in the esophagus(sp), but wasn't saying anymore until all the test results are in.

Andy

Sorry to hear the news, our prayers goes out to your family.

You won't believe this, but after Hazel arrived home from the hospital, she received a call that her 24 year old niece Tiffanie was rushed to the ICU in a diabetic coma. She is in the same hospital as Peggy. Will this ever end?

Andy.. many prayers and good thoughts to you and Hazel.. and you cant go to be at her side with the poison ivy.. See you sould have used the udder balm. ( sorryJust trying to add some humor to your day) how is the itching..?? Tell Hazel.. we are thinking of her and her sisters..I know how hard sisters can be and the love we can share with each other.. Send your mom our best as well...

Sarahsmom.. phew.. I was getting nervous.. I am glad it arrived.. Let me know what Sarah thinks.. :goodvibes
