Doreen: Thanks for that song dedication :teeth: John is doing fine. He should've just landed in Toronto within the last half hour (assuming his flight was on time). He has plans to have dinner with our friends tomorrow night. This is the other couple that we'll be cruising with in February. Then he'll be flying home late Friday night. Craig is doing fine in college, he really seems to be enjoying all of his classes. :teacher: :sunny:

Mary Rose: *ouch*! You poor thing! I'm with you though; I plan on packing very lightly for this next cruise on the Wonder (yay, no formal night to pack for! lol), and I plan to pack even lighter for our cruise in 2008. It seems like I pack less and less for each vacation we take. I like your idea; toothbrush, bathing suit, and a couple of pairs of shorts. I buy shirts while on vacation anyway, so no need to pack any. LOL But seriously, I hope your elbow is feeling better soon. I hope all goes well with John's procedure tomorrow, and I hope your DS John is feeling all better soon, too. As you know, we've had some digestive issues since we got back too, but they finally seem to have gone away now.

Kay: I didn't care at all for the band X.O.P. on the ship. If you do a search for all of my posts, you'll find several that I wrote on a thread out on the main cruise board about them. I thought many of the songs at the Sail Away and at the Pirate deck party weren't as festive as songs in the past. I thought it was just me, I'm glad to hear someone else felt that way, too. I did an online survey for DCL the other day and they ask detailed questions about all aspects of the entertainment on the ship and I gave them a lot of feedback, so hopefully that'll help bring about a few changes for future cruises (along with everyone else's feedback, of course!) :)

Elaine: Good night, and I hope your eyes feel better tomorrow. :3dglasses

I haven't been ignoring you all, but I had a party tonight.
Thanks for all your opinions. So far it seems AKL, CBR and CR in that order.

Watch we stay at Portofino in Universal LOL

Good Morning,

I don't think I was awake for even two minutes after going to bed last night.

Mary Rose- Good luck to John today with his procedure, and I hope DS John is feeling better soon. Not to mention you with the T/E. I had tendonitis in the elbow about 6 yrs ago and took all measures not to have surgery, but after 2 yrs of treatments, we decided that the knife was the only option. I don't regret it for a minute. Feels great and I can do my job, and then some.

Terry-Glad to hear Craig is enjoying school and liking all his classes. Does it make you feel better that at least John is on our coast and not the other? Closer to home.....

Have to get ready for work, it's Ruby Tuesday lunch today. Haven't been since before vacation. And am sooo looking forward to a Crab Cake.

I hope everyone has a great day, and talk to you all soon.

I think the next cruise, I'll wear my swimsuit, with the dress over it and bring a change of clothes. Like MR, wash at night. Who will know? :rotfl: :rotfl: :grouphug:

My, we were a chatty bunch last night!!! :rotfl2: I shut my computer down early last night, was just too tired to get online.

Woke up to another rainy morning, it's going to make for a fun morning walking around reading the meters. I'm still trying to get caught up on my from from being off of work for two weeks. A few meter books were read while I was away, but more should have been read to have kept the readings up to date. I usually read about 600-700 meters per week, in the first three days of this week, I've read over 600 meters and I have another 216 meters to read today.

Well, it's time to get Angelina on the move, she likes to get to school a little early so she can prepare herself for the morning announcements, with it being shown live all over the school, she has to look "just right" for the cameras, LOL!!! :teeth:

Have a nice Thursday All!!!

Good morning everyone :sunny:

Elaine: Yes, I like knowing that John is back on east coast time. :hourglass It means he's that much closer to home. :goodvibes Only one more night's sleep without him, then he'll be back where he belongs :cloud9:

Andy: It sounds like you're really making up for lost time on your route. :moped: I hope it doesn't rain on you too much today. :umbrella:

I am so glad I'm not the only one who thought the songs at the sailaway party and pirate night were boring. We arrived really late for the pirate party so I didn't hear what was played at the beginning.

I've heard better dance music played at people's 40th birthday parties over the past several years than I did at the deck parties.

My kids LOVE to dance and their iPods are loaded with Outkast, Black-Eyed-Peas, etc. And both kids volunteered to leave the sailaway & pirate parties.

I never got asked to do the online survey - bummed about that.

I wasnt asked to do a survey about the cruise either,
But I did get one about Old Key West

Okay, just read the thread on XOP - that gave me a good chuckle on this dreary morning.

Now I wish we had stayed at the sailaway party to listen to them. They were just about to start performing when both my kids asked to leave.

Unfortunately we didn't get to the sailaway party until about 5:00 pm. The band was already playing; there were no characters.

We come to find that they came out earlier and we missed them. It was the first the time in 5 cruises the sailaway party (to us) came off as less than Disneyesque.

It was entirely our fault for getting there late, but I didn't remember the characters leaving that early.

You're right Buddy Bear.......the sailaway party has been starting earlier. I remember past DCL cruises where the party actually started just before 5pm. The ship would blow the horn then the party would start. The CMs would do their dance routine then the Disney characters would come out.

At least, that's my memory (could be wrong).

I think now that DCL has some of the early dining starting earlier (5:30pm) that they were forced to start the sailaway party earlier.

IDK......I thought the sailaway party for our cruise was rather unDisneyesque as well.

Speaking of music.....I was picking up my kids from the bus stop and mentioned that I just downloaded the soundtrack from the latest POC pirate: movie for their iPods. Boy, you'd think I'd just announced tomorrow was Christmas. Both kids promptly started singing the title track (I can't even remember the melody that well).

There is a series of books being released about Jack Sparrow as a teenager. My kids just read the first one. Both said it was great.

We also started reading the Warrior books (about cats living in the wild). I hope Disney gets the movie rights to this one as it would make a great kids animated movie.

Hi Everyone

Greetings from wet, wet, wet Williamsburg, VA. I cannot complain because we do need it.

Andy - Thank you!

Anna - Thank you!

Elaine and Doreen - that song means so much to us!!!I do have some stories I can tell about Doreen and that song!!!
Frankie Valli sang that song.

I hope everyone has a good evening!

Mary Rose... how is John doing and John too.. I remember DS had to have surgery for that x2... he was a bit sore and couldnt get a shoe on.. Good thing DH has a good pair of shoes from WALMART to wear..lol :rotfl2:
How is Young John doing as well.. ??

I did a volunteer stint at our local PARADE OF HOMES today one at 1pm and the other with JACLYN at 5pm.. boy are my feet sore.. The homes are gorgoeous.. and decorated so nice.. The latest look is more is less.. One home had a sauna in the basement.. Hmm cruise or new house.. Also, the latest trend is to have IPOD wired throughout he home..

Tomorrow I have the 3 month recheck mammo.. After JACLYN'S bout.. I am a bit scared.. That is why we we're doing the Breast cancer walk.. and sponsering the donation.. If anyone is interested in donating I will send you a link..

SEA AND SKI.. that is so funny about the music.. Kids are so funny at times arent they??

I heard from MOIRA.. she is busy doing her MED cruise arrangements and then she will be on here... :Pinkbounc

Have a great night everyone..

Hi Everyone!

Well John is home from the Dr. minus one plantar wart! He's feeling good and Doreen he laughed about the Walmart shoes :rotfl: DS John is better too, seems the diarrhea is coming and going (pun intended!)

Doreen - I'll be thinking about you tomorrow. I just know everything will be okay!

Andy - Since I can't get on until tomorrow night, please wish Angelina a HAPPY SWEET SIXTEEN tomorrow!

Terry - so glad John is heading in the right direction - HOME!

Hi Karen and Kay and Ed and Jeff and Elaine and Joanna!

Hi everyone :wave2:

Doreen: I'm sure it'll all turn out OK tomorrow. But I know the nervousness associated with that.

Mary Rose: I'm glad that DH/DS Johns are doing ok! :)

Tomorrow night this time, MY John should be back home :love2: He called a little while ago and told me that he had a very nice dinner with our friends in Toronto, and who we'll be vacationing at WDW with, and cruising with, in exactly 141 days!! :hourglass

Karen: You must've sent the rain up this way. :umbrella: gee... thanks :rolleyes1 LOL

Kay: Those sound like books that my DSs would've enjoyed when they were younger. :)

Well I'd better get to sleep now :cloud9: I have another WEEKLY COUNTDOWN to post in the morning!! :hourglass :teeth: :smooth:

I should start a weekly countdown over on my Feb 4th cruise thread. I'll have to remember to do that on Sunday! :hourglass

Well, most of my bags are packed and I'm almost ready to go. We have an early morning flight. Mickey's Halloween thing tomorrow night; 11 day cruise to the Southern Caribbean; then 3 days at Universal, but this time for Universal's Halloween Horror Nights. Lindsay and I will be back beginning of October. Lindsay got her "castoff" yesterday and still sore.

I want to wish Angelina a VERY HAPPY 16TH BIRTHDAY. :dance3: :yay: :woohoo: :dancer: :rockband: party: :bday: :cake: . I hope all her wishes come true.

CYA in Oct.

Bev :grouphug:

Good Morning Everyone from another :umbrella: rainy day here in NJ.

Angelina said "Thanks" for all the :bday: wishes!!! Hazel and I just went into her room and sang Happy Birthday to her to wake her up. :rotfl:
