Hello Everyone

Nice window huh? have you guys been posting a page per min? :rotfl2: Wow I don't think I will ever get caught up before cruise time. popcorn:: Missed my Dis friends. :grouphug: Tina

Hey Doreen - Thank goodness Jaclyn is home! I'm sure you have more gray hairs but no one ever told us raising teenagers could be this hard! Can she come on our cruise now?

Terry, Doreen, Karen, Darlene, & Dori (and all the "Lost At Seaers" who will be cruising with us in spirit, Joanna, Lyn, Ginny, Bobbi & Cindy) I am looking forward to seeing you all again in the worst way. The excitement and scariness of being "Lost At Sea" made us all very close. I tell you what, if we get three extra FREE days aboard the Magic this time, I WILL NOT BE AFRAID! I will enjoy every minute knowing DCL will keep us safe!

And to all my Cruisin' Castaway buds, we are all going to have a great time together which I know will result in a "Cruisin' Castaways Reunion Cruise" in 2008. Don't forget your rebooking deposits!

Is anyone interested in making name tags. At our first DIS meet 2 years ago a guy named Jason who organized quite a few things (like our Terry on this cruise) printed out on his computer those "Hello my name is" type tags with our DIS names on them so we knew everyone's secret identity. It could be quite a big job so I can see if no one would want to volunteer for such a thing, I'm just throwing it out there in case anyone thinks it's worth doing. It certainly helped identify everyone though. Otherwise, I have no problem saying "I'm Mary Rose, you know O'BWV". That works too.

Thanks,
Mary Rose

Hey Paula - I didn't know you are on deck 5. When did you find out? That's a nice location. As few Cruisin' Castaways are on Deck 5 too! Are your cabins located Aft? I really like the Aft location, close to the free soda!

Mary Rose

I read a little around 5 PM this afternoon, but can't believe how many more replies have been added. We will get to our goal soon. :cheer2:

WELCOME all our new friends and family members!!!

Moira....I did like the goldfish thing. The thoughts and images that must go through your mind must be very entertaining.

Hugs to your Doreen and your family. :grouphug:

Carry on...........

FROM ANOTHER BOARD about the FURY CATAMAN..lol I AM THERE>>>

We were also in Cozumel a week ago tomorrow (Hi Noahsmom ).

We did the Fury Catamaran and our family enjoyed it. This was the second time we have done this excursion.

You meet on board, then go as a group to the tender. Our tender boat had every seat filled. Once you exit the tender on the pier, you immediately go the the Fury Catamaran. The first half of the people get on one Catamaran, and the second half get on the other. So if you are a group, you want to be sure to stay together.

When you first board the catamaran, they ask everyone to meet in the covered section. Most seats were filled, so if you are one of the last groups to get on the catamaran, you will have to search to find seats. We were the last group, and we were able to find a spot, you just have to look.

They go through introductions of the crew, the agenda, safety information, location of the bathrooms, and snorkel gear explanation. The talk takes about the same amount of time as it takes to get to the snorkel area.

Snorkeling is in deeper water than prior to the hurricane. Not a lot to see, but for the inexperience snorkler (me), it was fun. If you are used to snorkling with exotic scenery, you will probably be disappointed. Snorkel time is about 45 minutes.

Then back onto the boat, and the bar is open. Free soda, beer, and margaritas. Music is playing as well and some folks are dancing. Probably about a 45 minute boat ride to the beach.

We were the second boat to the beach, and we were able to get water rafts, chairs under umbrellas, kayaks, etc. Drinks continued to be free, and food was available ($8 for a burger). We did not try any of the food. When we went on this excursion in Oct 2004, there were a lot more buildings at the beach, and food was included. I do not think they would be able to feed everyone with the limited facilities.

After an hour at the beach, back to the boat for about a 45 minute ride back to the pier. Drinks were still plentiful, and dance music was playing. Many people got up and danced.

Our family enjoyed it very much, but if your heart is set for some excellent snorkeling, then this may not be the excursion for you.

Just thought this may help...

We got the letter yesterday that had all our cabin information. Yes, we are in the aft. I heard that it is the quietest part of the ship, so that should be good.

Paula

Bev: Thanks for posting my message. :thumbsup2 I hope to have my computer back up and running sometime by tomorrow night.

Doreen: I am always in the mood to hear ' Good News ". Glad to hear she is back where she belongs. :thumbsup2

How about if I bring a bunch of hello my name is tags....& some black sharpies? That way we can include spouses, kids, etc. & we won't leave any new cruisers that join us out. Would that work??? :confused3

Andy: Glad you got a clean bill of health!

Welcome to Mary Rose's sisters!

Diane

Doreen-I would love to meet for a smoothie! The only problem is I don't have a smoothie maker to sneak in :) , do you?! :)

Paula

Hey Paula - I love the Aft location. We are in cabins 6610 & 6611 right near the elevators. We always run up and get drinks and snacks. The only thing I thinks it's far from is the Spa and Palos but it's a great, quiet location. Do you have Secret Port Holes rooms or Navigator Verandah rooms? I don't know what other types of cabins are on deck 5. We're on deck six which has Cate. 6 Verandah cabins and Cate 11 inside cabins. Watch out if your on Doreen's deck, she is a lot of fun and always has a smoothie making in the machine!

Mary Rose

Well I was working on something but I am not sure it will work. Everytiem i go to HOME DEPOT I grab more mickey green ear paint chips in SONIC BOOM 4B-40..(LOL) I was going to write peoples screen names or real name on them and use the sticker maker I have from QVC and see if it worked before I said anything.. Needless to say I only have 18 MICKEY MOUSE ears in that color...
I can use a SHARPIE ON THAT AS WELL I am not sure if I can just send it through without a name on it and still make stickers..

Any suggestions??

DOREEN

i am still taking names for BUBBLES too!!! who ever wants a bottle of them,, just let me know please I have 96 of them with green ribbon on them.
