We have been booked since the date opened up however, with the date two years away I just wasn't sure what would happen. However, now my DM and her friend and my sister are also joining us. I really don't think anyone would like to see a photo of my knee, besides, I can't remove my outside bandage until Thursday. Even the bandage is NOT a pretty sight, I hope no one is eating while they are reading this post, LOL!!!

Did Angelina recover from her surgery? What about poor Hazel, she must feel like a nurse right about now. By the way my children will have birthdays by cruise time so Dan(24), Sean(16) and Colleen(14).

Hi Alice,

Angelina is doing quite better now, but the first three or four days were the roughest, that's the main reason I kept putting off my surgery until I knew Angelina was well on the road to recovery. Angelina's oral surgeon told us that the third day would be the worst and we would see the most swelling. He was absolutely correct in that, poor Angelina looked like a chipmunk storing nuts in her cheeks for winter on day number three. That was on a Wednesday, by Saturday, she was at my brother's BBQ eating and swimming in the pool. I'm so glad that we had this done while she was off for summer vacation, the poor kid did nothing but sleep for the first four days. Oh yea, she also did a great deal of crying because of the pain.

I think Hazel needs this five day trip to Fort Wilderness more than any of us, she has been a real trooper these past few weeks!!!

My mom is home from the hospital and said she IS going on the Carnival Cruise on the 20th.

I went to my gyn today and she said everything is fine and I can get back to doing everything. Damn, now I'll have to cook again. LOL

I starting reading this thread a few weeks ago when we thought we would change our cruise date from June 24th to August 19th to see how everyone felt about hurricane season. It didn't take long to persuade me to choose August. I've read the first 135 pages and then skipped up to 300 to the end. We aren't officially booked yet but it will be DH (John), DD15(Nikki), DD14 (Gianna) and myself (Denise)
Count Another NJ family is in, and hopefully a few more to follow!!
