Looks like our plans have changed for our trip to Orlando. We were going to be staying at Silver Lake Resort, August 21 - 28, in a 3 bedroom, sleeps 10 unit, but our plans changed. Before I cancel this reservation I wanted to offer it up to any of my fellow cruise buddies for the price that I paid - $199 for the entire week. It is a very beautiful resort, nice pool and movie theater, only a couple of miles from Disney (it backs up to the Animal Kingdom). If anyone is interested please email me at TMTIP@aol.com. Tracy...Did you get the resort from RCI as an extra vacation? If so, anyone that has stayed in a timeshare before will LOVE it.
Also, want to tell you that I am envious of all your trip (cruise) countdowns. I like the every 4 month deal. Now I have to start booking to catch up to you

Hi,yes, I picked that up on RCI as an extra vacation, plans changed and can't use it now. It is really a nice resort.

As for cruising every four months, I must confess, I am a cruise aholic--must keep my addiction fed!

Welcome aboard ALICE and MSDISNEY53 glad you decided to join us... as you can see it started off as a group of us that sailed before on the first 10 day cruise.. and now it has grown to so many more friends that hope to share more friendships as well...(and maybe another 10 day cruise,,lol)

MARYROSE.. I need a smoothie.. I had an awful day yesterday that i went to lay down at 630 pm.. and MARTY kept waking me up so make sure I was not unconcious..... I woke up at 12 midnight when he has me move over in bed,, and slept until 7 am.. WOW was I tired or what?? Just before that though I was in the garden and did some major work and was really sweating... I hope my sugar was just off and needed a REFUELING

Doreen - Hi, the unit that I had has been rented. Thanks. We live about 45 minutes from Virginia Beach and only about 10 -15 from Williamsburg. We love this area, so much to do and so beautiful.

MARTYS mom just called..She went to the DOCTORS to get the staples out.. it turns out that her "OVARIAN CA" is not that after all.. her LUNG CA has spread that has been in remission for over 9 yrs.. she wont let us use the word METATASIS.. and now she has to find a whole new set of doctors as well.. that care for Lung and Abdomin CA...Me being the nurse has the job to explain it all to my MARTY... We really need this vacation next week...

I received a phone call from my surgeon's assistant (Allison) this afternoon just checking up on me to see how I was doing. While I had her on the phone I asked her about the brace that was put on my knee after surgery. This was the first time after having seven knee surgeries that I ever woke up with a brace on, so I was curious as to why I had one on this time. Allison told me that I had some tendon and ligament damage near the patella and that the surgeon had to do some repair work on them, that is also why I have to use the crutches, and why I will be out of work longer than I was first told. It's also the reason it looks like I have a mountain growing out from above my kneecap. It's a hideous sight to say the least.
