 :cool1: :cheer2:

What great news Ginny!!! Congratulations!!!

:cheer2: :cool1:

Hi everyone

Right now we are having a severe thunderstorm and lightning. Not fun. I've always been afraid of lightening.

Ginny - congrats. Any chance of you meeting up at Trail's end on 8/19th for the mini DISmeet?

Hope all is doing well.

Gotta go. I'm scared.

Bev

Bev - thanks for the invite to Trails End on 8/19 - but we are going on the Repo Cruise and will be headed out to California that day.

I just spent the last 45 minutes on the phone with Doreen - she thinks she is funny - she calls me up and pretends to be Lockheed Martin personnel dept and tells me that she has to delay my relocation because I have been accused of stealing ice. LOL

Good morning everyone!!! :sunny: We missed the worse of the storm, but just 3 miles from me a tree fell on 2 cars a they lost power for 4 hrs or more. (my dad is in that area).

Yes, I had GINNY going for a little while. I am so good at these little pranks.. And GINNY you are so easy too! :cool1: All the things we talked about with your move are fantastic. It was just your time. :teeth:

Oh and remember what I told you about MARTY and me having to HIRE OUT..lol
WAHOO!!!! :Pinkbounc I think he thought I was serious!!!

MARTY'S surgery is still on for THURSDAY at 830 AM.. we have to be there at 630 AM... He will be in the hospital for 4 days and hopefully back in full recovery afterwards.

Jaclyn has cheerleading tryouts :cheer2: this week and a bit of confliction with her new work schedule... Lets see how she handles this one,,lol
Ok have a great day everyone..

GINNYBe sure to check on that medical condition as well..lol... ( still love ya..lol)

DOREEN

Hi everyone :wave2:

Lyn: Matt and his date look wonderful! I hope Matt had a great time at the prom :groom: I hope you had a nice day walking the boards last weekend! :sunny: I *really* miss the NJ shore. I used to live 5 minutes from Seaside and I used to walk on the boardwalk all year long, on sunny days... I really miss seeing the ocean on a regular basis. (I am not far at all from the coast line up here, but it's just not the same!)

Ginny: CONGRATS! WOO HOO! I can feel the excitement in your post!! I am so happy for you and your family!!!

Bev: I'm afraid of lightning too! :earseek: I don't mind it if I'm in the house, but I am petrified whenever I am outside in it, even in a car!

Andy: That must've been such a special day when Angelina became a US citizen. How does that work, when you have a baby or small child? They didn't make her "learn" US history, like they do with adults, did they?? Anyway, I hope you enjoyed watching your home movies :3dglasses

Sue: Hi!!! It's good to "hear" from you! It sounds like you have a lot of fun plans around your Disney trip in August!!! ::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo I hope you and Vicki have a wonderful trip!

Lindsay: Nice to see the REAL you, with your own screen name!! princess: Your pic from your prom looks beautiful, I hope you had a great time!!!

Doreen: We didn't get a Tempurpedic bed, we tried them but I felt like I "sunk" in it. lol We ended up with a Sealy Posturpedic pillow top bed. So far we LOVE it. We both wake up feeling actually refreshed after sleeping, instead of waking up exhausted! I don't know how we tried to sleep in a full sized bed, with the CAT sleeping between us (LOL), for all those years. This was the best money we've ever spent!!! :cloud9:
I'm so glad that Marty's surgery is still on! I hope he gets complete relief from his back problems, and I hope his recovery is as easy as possibly can be. Sending *hugs* to your entire family :grouphug:

Ed: Did you get the thunder storm that was supposed to pass through last night??? We didn't! Last evening John and I did all of our yard work, thinking it was going to rain last night and today, and I woke up to beautiful sunny skies and could tell it didn't rain at all! Now I'll have to go out and water the flowers I just planted on Sunday :flower: The weather people have not been very accurate lately. lol

Barb: What is the new medication that Dave is taking for sleep apnea? I hope that's not being too personal, I'm just asking because John and I both have sleep apnea and use CPAP machines (well, we used to use them, but neither of us really felt any better using them, and now I think our sleeping problems were due to the bed!). But I didn't realize there was also medication you could take. How is he feeling these days? Wow, school's almost out! My sons have 3 weeks left of school. :teacher:

Karen: Just wanted to :wave2: to you across the ocean!! I hope all is well! And have a great time in Disney, in August! We have only 4 weeks till our trip! I kind of wish we'd planned it for August now!

A big HELLO to everyone else!! Karen, Joanna, Bobby & Cindy, Carmen, Dori, Diane, Tina, Lisa, Bob, Jennifer, Heather, Denise....etc! (If I left you out, I apologise, I'm running on an old feeble brain here. lol)

Now some of my own news:

Just found out yesterday that DS17's senior class trip next year will most likely be to Disney World!! And I already know that DS14's senior class trip (in 4 years) will be to Disney World! John already told me to plan on going as a chaperone, just because he knows I wouldn't want to miss any opportunity to go to WDW. However, neither of my DSs want me to chaperone. LOL I don't blame them....but I still may go anyway. Just hearing the news about that poor girl missing in Aruba breaks my heart :(

Anyway, back to happy thoughts... I'm so psyched about Craig's trip next year because for some reason I thought his school didn't do big senior trips like that, and then to find out they do, AND they go to Disney World.

Exactly 4 weeks from right now we'll be sitting on the plane waiting to take off for Florida!!!! :sunny:

Anyone have an iPAQ? John just bought these for him and I, over the weekend. I've never had a PDA before and was never interested in them, but these things are actually miniature computers. I LOVE mine! It has wireless internet, a camera, and every other thing you could find on a desktop computer! It's very cool, and I am not really an electronics kind of person. John bought those new PSPs for the boys last weekend. He had done some extra work for his side business so he had some extra money, and even though it was HIS birthday on Saturday, he decided to buy presents for all of us. :teeth:

Tomorrow Robby will be going to Boston on a trip with the National Junior Honor Society. I have to remember to go to the bank later to get some money for him; he'll need it to buy himself lunch at Quincy Market/Faneuil Hall. In 2 weeks he'll be going to Six Flags New England for his 8th grade class trip. Boy, I remember growing up and going to Six Flags Great Adventure every week! I even had a season pass for several years. And back then, it was just Great Adventure, before Six Flags took it over. Anyone else go back that far? In fact, I was there before it even opened, because my father was a theatrical teamster working out of NYC and he took my friend and I there the week before it opened, while they were filming commercials. We walked right onto every single ride. Ahh...the memories... lol

Ok, that's enough from me. Hope you're all doing well! :sunny:

Hi Terry,

Wow what a list, is that from getting a good night rest. ;),
Congrats on the new bed.

Barb, Terry,
You can add me to the list using a CPAP machine. On my second one. Been using it every night since 1995. :cool1:, on my second machine now, first one broke back in 2002. I'm a lucky one, felt great every night since I started using it. and DW says " the frieght train" has stopped running thought the bedroom. :rotfl2:.

I heard the T-storms died as they crossed the Hudson river yesterday, we got some rain, but other than some dark skys no real lighting.

Dave just handed me a bottle of pills that says Requip Ropinirole HCI 1mg
the doc told him its a pill used to stop twitches/etc in some type of disease (cerebral palsy or something like that?)
He started at .5 pill and has been increasing that amt every night - he's now up to about 3
doc told him stop when he's sleeping better and let her know if he doesnt sleep any better

Terry - your next WDW vacation is coming up quick! Take lots of notes - Im especially wondering about your ARs - thanks

yup only 3wks,3days till our 1st summer mini-vacation - 5days camping in the Maine woods!

I just looked at Southwicks Zoo website for this Sat. They are having a deer program - get a closer look at the deer, etc. Found out they had a new baby giraffe born May 22nd! He really looks cute - good incentive for Jon to get to the zoo!

I'm trying to catch up, haven't been on much today, been very busy at work.

Terry--we applied for Angelina's U.S. Citizenship when she was two years old. It took a few months to get all the paperwork done, once it was finished we had to go to Newark, NJ and that's where we got her green card. The process was quite painless, except for the going to Newark part, that was an experience!!! LOL!!!

Doreen: Never heard of the place that Jacklyn works at. I think with Jonathan only just turning 15 is a problem for him. :confused3 Good luck to Jacklyn with the try outs. :goodvibes

Terry: Senior trip sounds like a blast............ ::yes:: I would insist on going to. Glad your sleeping better. We need a new mattress also Don't know why we are putting it off.

Lindsay: Welcome to the boards !

Bev: Just wanted to say Thank you. :flower:

Sue: You must be getting excited for your up-coming trip. :Pinkbounc How is Avon going ?

Ginny: I will be in the same place as your are when the kids are of age. Not sure if Fla. will be the spot but somewhere warmer. Again congrats.

o.k my news...........I had my doctor's appointment today and it looks like I am dealing with 2 different issues. My colon and liver. He sent me to the hospital to get blood taken to test for hepatitis. My question is why did they take 8 TUBES of blood? :confused3 then I had ex-rays done of course they didn't tell me anything. I have 2 things I have to take to flush out my system then on Monday I go for a Cat-Scan. I have another appt. the following Monday to discuss results. I have waited so long to find out whats wrong with me now I just have to wait a little longer. I am still not feeling well just know something isn't right if you know what I mean.

well Dave just informed me that next Thurs (June 16th) he's flying down to FL so he can drive his mother back to her summer home on Cape Cod

He does have 2 brothers and a sister who are all helpless in this aspect! He usually gets stuck doing the drive down in the fall and the drive back home in the spring!

But on the bright side - Jon & I will have the house to ourselves for about 4 days

sorry Tina - hope the doctors find out soon

Thanks Barb I guess on an upbeat my regular doctor told the specialist will probaly want to do a liver biopsy. When he didn't mention it I didn't either. :teeth:

Tina: Sorry you are not feeling better. Sometimes I think the wait makes you feel worse because you worry and imagine all the things that could be wrong with you. Hopefully it won't be anything serious. I am sending loads of PD your way. :wizard: :wizard:

Bob: Went to the specialist and they didn't have any answers for him either. His Heptatis test was negative, but the specialist said he needs to re-check it because it has an incubation period. He now needs some kind of scope where they go in through his mouth and into his stomach. They can't fit him in until 8/2 so we will be waiting again. He too needs more blood work this Friday.

Darlene: I hope everything is ok. I haven't seen you on the boards for awhile. Let us know how Stan is making out. :grouphug:

Ginny: Great news about selling the house. I knew you were going sell it very quickly. The market seems to be moving very fast. Florida, here you come!!! :cool1:

Terry: It was a fabulous day to walk on the boards Sunday. Nice and sunny and warm. Just the way I like it. :sunny:

I wanted to chaparone Matt's school trip, but he wasn't not having any of that. It all worked out, they are very well supervised by the school and Disney. You won't have anything to be worried about when he is there.

Only 4 more weeks until you get your Disney Fix. :cool1:  We will be heading home just as you arrive. I leave on 6/23 for Disney and then get on the cruise on Sunday 6/26 - 7/3.

Doreen: You made me laugh, I forgot all about Jaclyn wearing Matt's clothes. That was really a sight. :rotfl2: Let Marty know we are thinking about him with his up coming surgery. Hopefully he will be up and around in no time.
BTW where is Karen? She has been on the boards in ages.

Oh I almost forgot the best news of all. My son is coming home after all. His boss at the new company felt bad about not letting him have off, so she changed her mind and told him to go. YEAH!!!!! :bounce: :Pinkbounc
It has been a year since I have seen him, I can't wait.

Lyn

LYNN that is fantastic.. I am so happy for you that your son will be home after all.. What a thrill you will have... BOB be sure to have the tissues ready.... :teeth:

I wish JACLYN has a clas trip to WDW.. they go to PARIS FRANCE.. talk about $$$$...

TINA... Saying extra prayers for you... I had a major operation a yr after my first(marriage) wedding anniversary... I was so sick.. I didnt know how I was going to wake up...But it the end it wasnt so bad.. The marriage ended up worse then the sugery,,lol

No rain here sunny :sunny: skies, straw grass, and soothing pools....

TERRY... you will notice a difference with the new mattress.. Its amazing. You think because your mattress looks fine.. it should still be fine... It killed us to get rid of our mattress since it still looked in great shape on the outside.. but boy did it hurt our back. :cloud9:

WHERE IS CARMEN and Joanna and DARLENE lately.. we miss you very much. :wave2: SUE over the pond.. missing you as well...

I hope to talk to you all soon... hopefully, before MARTYS surgery.. on THURSDAY

Lyn: Thanks for the PD. Sorry I forgot to mention about your DS prom picture. It is beautiful and they look like a lovely couple. Do you think your DS boss reads these boards and let him take the time off? :rotfl2: Happy to hear he will be home. Aug. is a long time to wait. He doesn't have the same specialist as me does he? Glad the other test was negative. I do agree it is very frustrating. Keep us posted. :wizard: :wizard:

Doreen: I believe in the power of prayer. Thank you, only 7 months for me being happily married and I was thinking this should be a happy time for us. It will get better...........I am going through this now so I can be healthy for our cruise next year. Marty will also be in my prayers. :grouphug: I am sure afterwards he will be on the road to recovery for good. Keep us posted.

Darlene: I didn't want to forget about you. How is Stan feeling? :wizard:

Hello to everyone else I missed.

I haven't been around for a little while. PD to all who are not feeling well. :wizard: Congrats to all the Grads :cool1: . Love the Prom pictures!

They did not remove Stan's drain. A test showed a perforation in the colon (again!). We see the surgeon tomorrow.

Good night,
Darlene :sad1:
