Hey gang! Long time, no see. Sorry that I've been out of the loop lately, but we won't go into the soap opera that my life has turned into this last month or so. Let's just say that I need this as much as some of the others...

:wizard: :wizard: :wizard: :grouphug: :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: :grouphug: :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: :grouphug:

Terry - Glad that things turned out well. (I have to admit that the idea of a needle that long coming towards my chest makes me cringe. Here's hoping that things go weel there as well!) BTW - HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

Darlene - Tell Stan to knock this abcess stuff off! He's already been down that road once. No sense on a return trip!

Bev - Add me to the list of those that never went to the prom. I think that the horse-drawn carriage idea is wonderful. How romantic! I wonder how it compares cost-wise to a limo rental.

Andy - Happy Memorial Day weekend to you too! I'm looking forward to it. The kid is at his father's house this weekend (although I am stealing him for a few hours on Sunday to attend a friend's barbeque) and my buddy George is visiting for the weekend (although he will be working on Saturday and Sunday).

To those of you with the crappy weather - I must apologise, when I tell you that we hit 89 yesterday and are expecting the weather to continue through the weekend. Guess I'll be getting a whole lot of yardwork done this weekend. (It needs it, desperately!)

Well, I better get back to work. The sooner I get the workday done - the sooner and can go outside and play!

Dori :cool1:

I almost hate to say this out loud.... but tomorrow the Magic arrives in California and part of me is wondering if and when we will be told.... you know.... well you know.... I am still deeply saddened and still a bit frustrated, but dare not say anything..... ya know.... The elephant IS in the room....

:guilty:

bumping us back up!
why has noone been here for the past 23 hrs?!

Hi everyone,

Good Morning Everyone

Dori: Sending you some PD also. :wizard: :wizard: Here's hoping things get better for you.

Lyn:Sorry your DS won't make it home for other DS graduation. I couldn't think of my kids living so far away...........I know it will happen some day.

Doreen: Did you get that awful thunderstorm this past Friday? We got hail ! :earseek: It was a scary looking sky.

Bev: Great picture of Lindsay and her date. :cool1: Glad she had fun. That's the way it's suppose to be.

Well we have been busy here......In and out of the rain we have been getting the flower beds done. Should I say creating them. :rotfl2: Thought I would share them with everyone. We had two bushes that didn't survive the frost from last year so they were ripped out. The last picture is of Jonathan's cake. We are celebrating his B-day since Chuck won't be here this week. I have never seen a cake like this...........Jonathan want's to eat it all. :rotfl2:
Enjoy the rest of the Holiday.........

Tina--I must say that is some cake!!!

Your landscaping looks very nice as well!!!

We'll be heading down near Atlantic City in a little bit, we're celebrating my niece's graduation from college, her birthday and Memorial Day all in one. I just hope the traffic isn't too bad going down the A.C. Expressway.

Take care everyone and enjoy the rest of the weekend!!!

Andy: We are cooking steaks out on the grill today. I can't wait to try that cake. :cake: Traffic shouldn't be to bad............I think tomorrow it would be worse tomorrow.Have fun :goodvibes We are now working on side of house and back yard. If I get more completed..........I will add more pictures. The joys of being a homeowner. :rolleyes1 The work never seems to end.

Boy lots to catch up on here...

Andy: Congrats on OVER 8000 at this point.

Terry: Glad to hear that your news is mostly good.

Darlene: Best wishes for you & Stan.

Lyn: Sorry your son won't make it to the graduation.

Dori: Sending you good thoughts.

To everyone else I missed...Hello & Take Care!

Just a bit of an update for all those that sent prayers for my DD. It's been a tough week with lots of tests. We saw the neurologist, she had an MRI, and then a CT Scan. The CT Scan was tough because they had to put in an IV & she howled like a little puppy dog. My poor baby! Anyway the good news is that they found nothing that is causing the headaches so they believe it is just stress she puts on herself. She is like her Mom & puts waaaay to much pressure on herself to get straight A's. The bad news is that they did find a lesion on her skull but it is flat and they believe benign. It has nothing to do with her headaches but they found it while searching for a cause. They will keep an eye on it & do another CT Scan in 4 months just to make sure it doesn't change. I am trying not to worry, but it is so hard not to. I know many of you have your on worries right now, so I really appreciate the extra prayers you sent our way. I do believe in the power of good thoughts so please keep them coming if you can!

Have a great long weekend!
Diane

Hello Everyone
I added more pictures to what we got done today. We went through 20 bags of mulch. Chuck put in stepping stones from front deck to around side of house. We are going to put mulch in between with solar lights. I took picture of back deck. I have outside and inside rails stained but still have to do the boards and lattice. We needed a new wheel barrel............so I took the old one and put flowers in it. :flower:

Diane: Glad to hear the news about your DD. Is the doctor giving her anything for the headaches? Hope the next CT SCAN is good news. I will keep you in my thoughts. :wizard: :wizard:

I have a question for you cruising vets... I hae been pondering this for a while now....

If by some chance in September when we are taking a quicky 3 day DCL cruise... I find there are still 2 connecting cat 6 cabins availible for this Aug 2006 cruise... can I rebook on board (this is of course if the price increase from now until then stays low) for the on board rebooking credit/ 10%discount, then cancel the rooms I currently have booked??

I should prolly post this as a seperate post but thought I would ask here first....

Thanks!

Laura: ::yes:: you can here is what we did...........we booked the 2006 cruise as soon as it opened up. We booked through DCL. We went on a cruise this past November and re-booked on board. We figured out we saved 800.00. The price didn't increase all that much. We got the 10% off and now have a 200.00 o9n board credit. If you did this for 2 cabins you would get a 400.00 on board credit. I wouldn't cancel before you go............when on the cruise check and see what the price would be first. If you can save money and get back something GO FOR IT. They will re-book it for you. Hope this helps. :flower:

Tina... my current reservations are thru DU... does that matter???

I sure would love the $400 and 10% then transfer it back to DU for the rebate...

Laura who is looking for a money grubing hand rubbing smiley face... :rotfl2:

another question... you mentioned they would rebook it for us... does that mean we would get the same cabins we have now just at the new rate minus the 10% and plus the credit??

Laura: We kept our same cabins.........I believe you could have DCL re-book it for you if the savings is right then when you get back home you could transfer your reservation back to DU if you wanted to. You would still be able to keep the 400.00 on board credit. :teeth: If I am wrong please correct me somebody.

Hi all,

Guess its the weekend for home maintance,

I'm doing my weekend warior dance,
Been painting the Breezway, stairs on both ends, front porch and front and side walkways and porch railings.

Tomorrow it all gets there second coat.

My me, when I go back to work on tuesday I can rest :rotfl2:,

Laura--I'm not sure if you would be able to keep the same rooms. If you booked onboard and still had your other ressie with DU, I don't think they will give you the same cabins with your first ressie still being booked. We had rebooked onboard for our second cruise, then when got home we switched the ressie to DVC, but our cabin was also changed. It was considered as cancelling one ressie for another. But, if you can save $$ I'd say go for it girl!!!

Diane--we will keep sending good thoughts and prayers your way for DD. :grouphug:

We arrived home a little bit ago. Traffic on the way to my niece's place was heavy at times, but will still got there in a little over an hour. I came home a different way, and it was a breeze, it will not be that way tomorrow evening, that's for sure!!!

Angelina decided she wanted to go with her friends tonight to a lock-in at our local bowling alley, dear old dad gets to drive her there at midnight and pick her back up 7am tomorrow morning. I think I had better get a quick nap in, considering I have been up since 5am this morning. I'm not as young as I used to be, LOL!!!

Tina.. we never got any THUNDER at all.. we got a little rain yesterday afternoon but we needed it... it came just in time after I seeded the yard with grass seed... now we can watch it grow and hope for little ones like TERRY did... :cool1:

70* temp here this weekend so we decided to open the pool finally... what a chore  I wish I had a pool boy.

DIANE so glad your daughter is doing better. Sendng :wizard: her way so she feels better soon...

HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY EVERYONE..... enjoy the holiday

Doreen
