Hi Doreen,

Thanks for the welcome! I have a real flat Irish accent so I wouldn't get too excited!

My daughter Caoimhe (old Irish name pronounced Queeva) will be 6, nearly 7. She is so excited!

We are arriving in Orlando on 13th August and staying in the Polynesian until 19th when we go cruising! :cloud9:

Moira :lovestruc

Hi Moria,

Glad you can join us.

Hi everyone:

I just heard back from the Group Specialist at DCL. She said she can book Palo for us, for dinner and brunch, but we have to make reservations for the tea on our own.

I'd like to get an idea on how many people are interested in doing this. Please let me know if you're interested in Brunch or Dinner, and how many people (18 or older) are in your party.

Who else?? :) I was thinking of dinner on Costa Maya (Tuesday) night or the second At Sea night (Thursday, which is also semi-formal night), and brunch on our first At Sea day (Monday), but I'm open to any time, really, if another time suits everyone else better! Let me know.

Here's the list so far:
My DH, DH18 (I *think* he wants to join us. lol) and myself.

I am still " Arranging " the dining plans down on paper for us. This of course going by us getting the APL rotation and if I have it straight now. :rotfl2: If we go with Palo dinner On Sunday- Castaway Cay Day ( Where we got married............so perfect  Then we could do brunch on either sea day. The earlier the better for brunch so I can really have an appetite to enjoy all of the formal dinner. 11:00??

You can put us down for fishing trip in morning first stop at Castaway Cay. Those plans will be set. I will let you know of more plans as we decide them.

Hi Terry,

I am not sure what we would like, as this is all very new!
Because we have a 6 year old we are not sure what to book, she may want to have breakfast with us, or may want to hang around with us (though knowing her she will want to be hanging out with the other kids). Plus my DH is nervous in terms of safety, so for the first day I think he'll be ensuring that his DD is 100% secure!

I know we would love to do Palo at some stage but it will probably only be brunch, so if there is a demand (and you wouldn't mind) could you include hubbie and me for brunch on second sea day.

Thanks so much! M.

PS. Thanks Ed for the welcome!
PPS Tina, what does the APL rotation mean?
PPPS There seems to be a big demand for the early dining - are there many on late?

TTFN.... :tigger:

Hi Moira :wave2:

I fully understand your concerns regarding your DD. :) On the first day, we'll be having a DIS meet in the promenage lounge after the tender drill, and this is for FAMILIES, not just the adults :) :grouphug:

I think many of us had expressed interest in a DIS meet on the family beach, on one of the Castaway Cay days. :sunny:

There are many of us on the late dining, although I think most people with young children have chosen the early dining. Early dining fills up fast, so that's probably why you were put on the late dining.

I will put you down for Brunch on the second sea day. :smooth:

Ed and Moira: I've added you to the Itinerary page, as per your requests. :)

Everyone: I've added various activities to each day of the itinerary, but I will add anything that any of you want on there.

Please take a look and let me know if you'd like anything added, even if it's something you're not 100% sure you'll be booking. :) http://www.brownfamilyvacations.com/html/CruisingCastaways.htm

Hi Everyone!! I have not been on the boards in a long time! I am Reenieny18's(Doreen's) sister. I would like to be included in the Cruise Gift exchange so please add my name to the listing. I think this is a great idea! :thumbsup2 Thanks!!

TTFN.... :tigger:

Moira: You can request your dining rotation but it doesn't mean you will get it. When I talked with DCL they told me they do everything they can to honor such requests and it helps that I am doing this so early. APL is short for the rotation of Animator's Palate, Parrot Cay, Lumiere's. Most people want this rotation because they think out of the 3 Lumiere's is the most formal and that would be nice for formal night. Parrot Cay is the most casual and would be great to have priate night in. So first night is A 2nd is P and 3rd L and it repeats itself. I have also requested 8:00 dinner time. I am linked with alot of people but...........it has to be done on a reservation number by number basis. Hope that helps. :goodvibes
