Darlene...It's funny that Samantha and Sandy are the same age and Samantha also received a guitar, must be the age, but Amanda 14 yrs just loves the drums. It isn't that bad because ALL the instruments are in the basement. I am really enjoying not buying all the little toys anymore.

Ginny...Gaylord Palms for NYE and you didn't even have to spend $1,600 for airfare, because from NJ for NYE it would have cost about that much for a family of 4. I have to agree with you about taking the kids out of school once they get older. Teachers have no mercy, its either do or die. When we were looking for homes in Florida (when we we going to move there) Amanda missed a paper due by 4 days. The teacher took 10 points off for everyday anyone was late and the mark counted 4 times on the report card. She was pissed at me for taking her out. So now this year we are cruising on Costa during President's week.

Andy...I was sick with a bad sore throat last week, it was so bad I thought it was strep, but it wasn't. I took a throat culture at work and started myself on an antibiotic, then stopped it when it wasn't strep.

To everyone else, my old DIS friends (who I truly miss) and new ones (who I haven't met yet), I wish you all a very Happy and Healthy New Year.

Joanna

Good Morning Crew,

I'm feeling a wee bit better then yesterday, the meds have been a big help in that I am able to breathe again without too much trouble!!!

I think I'm still going to take it easy today and just rest around the house. My mom and I were able to get about 2/3rds of the things we wanted to get done, which is pretty good. I guess that just means another trip to Florida to finish all the tasks, LOL!!!

It's quite cloudy here this morning, but still on the mild side, so I'll take it. I just checked the weather up home and it looks like another nasty day up that way.

I'm going to close for now, I was only on my laptop once yesterday, so I have quite a few messages to check.

Later Gang :wave2:

I wrote this before and then I lost it so here goes again.

Hi everyone

Wishing everyone a Happy and Healthy New Year.

Ginny - I have group space booked on the "Freedom" for 1/7/07. From what I've seen and read, this ship should be awesome. I'm looking forward to going on what will be the world's largest ship - with a surfing pool on the back of the ship. There's alot of things that I can't talk about yet.

For those interested - I do have rooms being held on RCCL's "Freedom of the Seas" 1/7/07 at some great prices. I still have some group space on RCCL's "Empress of the Seas" (Philly - Bermuda) for 6/10/07. I can book anything for anybody for any date since I am a Travel Agent. Just PM me or email me for any questions, brochures etc. Of course, 8/19 is the greatest cruise - ours. :cheer2:

For everyone who asked me to reserve a room for them at the Radisson - it's done. No money is needed yet. I still have rooms being held at the Radisson for our group so for those who are planning on staying at the Radisson the night before, just PM me and I'll take care of it for you. Let's party. :dancer:

I also have arrangements with a great limo company that can take you from the Orlando airport to Port Canaveral at great rates. You can save money (instead of taking the bus and DCL won't take us the day before the cruise). You will drive in comfort and style. Aren't we worth it? You bet we are! ::yes:: We work hard all year and deserve to treat ourselves and our loved ones :love2: by starting our vacation feeling special. Please PM me and let me know you're interested and I'll make the arrangements . I'm just trying to help my DIS friends and in a few hours (4 actually) I'll be saying "Yea - our cruise is THIS YEAR!!! Before we know it, it'll be here. Just trying to make all the arrangements early so we don't have to worry later. :cheer2:

Hoping everyone has a happy, healthy and wealthy New Year.

Stay well and take care.

Bev :grouphug:

Hey Bev, great job with all the pre-arrangements. What kind of deal can you get for car service from MCO to the Radisson on Friday for a group of 7? Thanks in advance.

Hi Bev...Happy New Year to you also. Thanks for posting the group space you have booked. Those dates in 2007 don't work for us to even ask you for a quote, but do list them as you reserve them.

The Cruisin' Castaways are cruising THIS YEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Happy 2006 Everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :goodvibes

My nephew and I will be flying back home later today, the weather here has been quite nice, it got up to about 76* yesterday and it supposed to reach 78* today, I'm not ready to leave this for the weather in New Jersey. :guilty: Oh well, you gotta do, what you gotta do.

Hi Cruisers,

My nephew and I arrived home last evening around 8:30pm, we were able to get on a direct flight from Orlando to Philly, so we avoided a 2 hour lay-over stop in Atlanta. Traveling with a 13 year old boy that can't sit still, the direct flight was a blessing, at least I wouldn't have to track him down in the Atlanta airport. Peter really enjoyed himself, he and his dad had a great few days together. Even with me getting ill, my mom and I were still able to get most of the business done that we had planned to do.

I'm just going to relax today, gotta get myself ready to go back to work tomorrow.

Happy 2006!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Happy New Year to all of our cruise mates!

As I was flying out of Orlando yesterday afternoon, I saw a lot of people getting off of flights wearing Penn State sweatshirts and hats, some of them were even cheering others on, it was fun to watch and hear!!!

Happy New Year to all the Cruisin' Castaways & those that can't join us! I know some of you had a really great cruise together. Are we still having smoothies?

Bev: I will let you know about the transportation. That sounds like it might be the way to go but I will discuss it with DH.

We just got back from DW. It was nice but I don't think I will go there during Christmas week for a long time to come. The weather was nice but the crowds were beyond belief. I have been at Thanksgiving, 4th of July, & even Christmas week 1999 & nothing compared to the crowds we experienced this week. It was just too much & not relaxing at all.

The reaction of my children on Christmas morning was priceless though. My DD kept saying "I don't believe it" but my DS threw himself to the ground and screamed "Noooooooo!" & burst into tears. He said "I want to stay home and play with my new toys!" OMG it was too funny! I'm seriously thinking of sending a copy of the video to AFV! Here's my DH and I yelling "We're going to Disney" & expecting them to jump for joy but oh no! We ate at the California Grill for Christmas dinner, watched a special Christmas presentation of Wishes from the observation deck, & road the front of the monorail to MK & my DS climbs in bed at POP & says "I knew this was going to be the worst Christmas ever!" OMG we are such abusive parents! LOL

Take Care!
Diane

Hello to all of the Cruisin' Castaways!!

We are cruising THIS YEAR!!! Many of us booked this when it was 2 years out from the cruise date. :hourglass

I am looking forward to seeing a lot of old friends, and also to meeting new friends :grouphug:

Diane and Andy: Welcome back from Florida, both of you :sunny: Andy I hope you're feeling better now. Diane, after going to WDW this past July, I don't think we'll be returning in the summer ever again. lol It was just too hot! So I know what you mean about the trip not being relaxing. Also, your DS's reaction is hysterical!!! You definitely should send that tape into AFV. :earboy2:

It's another SNOW DAY here today. :cold: DSs are still sleeping and will be thrilled when they wake up, especially DS17 because he is a senior and won't have to make up the missed days. :earboy2:

Luckily all we got was rain, otherwise we would have about 15" of sn*w on the ground!!!

Hey all,

Just stopping by to wish everyone a Happy New Year.

It's so exciting to think that August will be here before you know it, and I for one have gone into planning overdrive. I've also began my post-holiday, pre-cruise diet. How many pounds below my goal weight should I plan on to compensate for how much I'm going to gain on the cruise?

And, for all of you who's daughters received a guitar for Christmas, mine did too. Except, she's 4, and it a Barbie guitar! At least it comes with a volume control. :rockband:

Again, best wishes for a great 2006 to all!
