took myself & my book to Buffums for a few hrs today
spent a few hrs tonight having a Smirnoff tasting at a friends house

I wen't on some of the other slides and well I am feeling it this morning. My legs are beat from all that walking up those steps. I personally like the wave pool. Hope your sunburn is a little better today.

Anyone been to Door County (Northren Wisconsin)? We got roped into heading up there next week with 12 other family members. We did our best to not go... but when grandpa said it would save him from pergatory if we went.... we had to go.

I will be driving up with the three kids ALONE while DH drives his SIL and her two kids up. 6 hours, one adult, three kids ages 6, 4, and 2. Oh yeah... good times... I just saw that Radio Shack has a portable DVD player for 99 bucks. I think I will pick up a 1/2 dozen of them to keep the kids over stimulated for the trip! LOL

Ah well, on the upside I get to try out my telescope. I bought a sweet scope a couple of years ago when I worked for WTTW Store of Knowledge. I have NEVER used it. This puppy cost a small arm and a leg, and with the kids... well I never brought it out. My SIL and her husband are amature astromist... I gave them my old Meade 495 when I bought my tweeked scope, so they will be able to help me setting the thing up. I am excited about that!

Anyway... I gotta toss all the kids in the pool... too hot here! 95 and steamy!

Did you know that CRAIG called JACLYN up on I think it was FRIDAY to go to the MOVIE at 715,,lol it was 430 pm,,,lol She told him " well I guess I am crzy enough to go to NJ for BRUNCH, I can go to MASS. for a movie ... but next time give me more notice". lol I thought that was so funny...

TINA..what water park is that?? you would never see me on that slide either..

Today we went to the beach and we got very dark... It made it to 95* here yesterday and had to be close to that today as well...
MARTY walked on the beach with out his cane and did very well.. He is telling me he is feeling the best he has in almost 3 years.. so there is hope that he will have a job again in a year or so... ( keep your fingers crossed pleased). His stitches came out on THURSDAY and he is walking fairly well.

Hello All.... another busy weekend in NJ. Wow this moving thing SUCKS!!!!! I cant imagine if I had to pack all this stuff up myself. Bob and I spent the whole weekend purging the closets and basement of stuff we wont need anymore in Fl or things that dont fit the kids anymore. You wouldnt believe the amount of clothes I am giving away to my sister. I know I buy alot but the piles even surprised me - LOL.

Met with the movers last week. They will be packing my house on July 18 & 19, loading the truck on the 20th and we will close on this house on July 21st. Then jump on the auto train and head to temporary housing in FL. My company is paying for Bob and I to go on a househunting trip July 1-3 so I am really hoping that we can find something we fall in love with like we did for our current house. and that we will be able to close on that house before we leave for the repo cruise on August 19th.

Although I am so happy that this is finally happening for us- its a bit scary when I think that I will be leaving in less than 1 month. I have one more week at my job in NJ and then I start training in MD on July 5th.

Doreen: Yes, that is the set that I have, except mine doesn't say "3" anywhere (I just looked at them to be sure). They are the "HE 4t" models. But I definitely recommend them. Our clothes have never been cleaner or looked better! We had a very old, basic set. So it's a quite a leap up to our new set. lol
Craig grinned when I told him what you wrote. He said that Jaclyn also has a Verizon Wireless cell phone, so there's no charge for them to call each other. Yikes. LOL
I am amazed to hear that Marty is doing so well! Wow, on the beach, walking on his own! Way to go, Marty!! I'm so glad he's recovering so well, Doreen It's got to be because you're taking such good care of him.

Laura: How is the telescope?? We have one, but it's a small one. Yours sounds like the one my DSister and DBIL have; you practically need a degree to set it up properly

Bev: I'll try and do my part by posting when I have something interesting to say...which isn't too often.

Bobby: I remember the "Winchell-Mahoney Show" from when I was a kid, he was a ventriloquist. I love his voice and I've always been able to pick his voice out, in the animated shows he's done, including Winnie the Pooh. I hope you and Cindy and the kids are doing well

Barb: My outdoor thermometer reached a hair under 100 degrees yesterday!! But remember just a couple months ago when we looked like this?? -----> lol

Ed: Your shirt looks great. My sons are teens, I'd love to design a shirt for all of us to wear, but I know they won't. LOL However, I did buy all 4 of us matching "Tropical Mickey" button-down shirts at the Disney Store last week, which we'll wear to our dinner at 'Ohana in a couple of weeks. That night is our anniversary, so the boys realize it's a special dinner for us I told them they only have to wear the shirt to dinner, then they can take them off. lol

And since they serve such a large amount of BREAKFEST in the morning after.. we can all have that and share it ....no strings attached..

I mentioned this to Craig and he laughed a bit.... lol I told him that he probably COULD make a reservation for Palo and take Jaclyn. He'll be 18, so he's definitely allowed to go, and I think he'd be able to take her...?? I mean, what if they were a married couple; I'm sure they would allow it. LOL And I told him "You'd probably rather go to Palo with Jaclyn, than with John and I" and he said "Of course". Does anyone know if they'd let DS who will be 18 at the time, take someone to dinner who's 17 (but she looks at least the same age as him!?? I know they'd be well behaved and I bet they'd have a great time.

Edited to add: Maybe a group of the older teens can get a Palo reservation together. I know there will be a few 18+ year olds on board.
