I have a neighbor who has a 10 year old son with a rare cancer and The Make a Wish foundation is sending them on a DCL cruise on August 19th. Thank you for this thread, that we remember those in need of healing and comfort.

This is the site I found this on.. I do not know the family however.. I only know its INDEA88 neighbor.

Terry...CONGRATS ON THE 10,000th POST :cool1:

Andy...CONGRATS TO YOU ALSO, seems you recently reached 10,000 also

Doreen...Glad all went well :sunny:

Tina...Wow, I remember when that picture was first posted. Now refresh, I don't know 2 people in the picture, although I'm sure they have posted here at one time or the other, and maybe still do and if so, I'm sorry in advance for not remembering. Who is Barb & Karen? :confused3

Jenn, Ed & Mary Rose...Share OH Please share your secrets. I want to also start on NutriSystems for the quick fix and then go over to WW for maintenance. QVC has Nutrisystems with the weekends off program. Hmmm, I should really invest in it.

Ed...You look great :cool1:

MaryRose...Is the food really that tolerable, if it is just OK please let me know. I want to buy it, but if I am barely going to get it down I'll eat salad and oatmeal instead.

Today is our 29th wedding anniversary and my mother's 83rd birthday (God Bless her) Please say a prayer for her to stay healthy and enjoy another year.

Enjoy your Sunday
Joanna

~I think I spotted a few of this group on the CC 11am Sunday Stingray Adventure - we are doing this as well! It sounds like great fun! Brunch and other plans are set with the Ship of Fools crew. It's hard to believe it's almost been a year since our amazing adventure. Two weeks is the perfect amount of time on board, but we'll have to settle for seven days this summer. ;)

~Congrats to everyone who is practicing healthier living!

~Happy Anniversary Joanna! Best wishes to your mother as well. Congratulations SeaSpray for being the mother of a grad! You must have had him when you were just a baby yourself.

~ I'm glad to hear Darlene is enjoying her vacation. I remember when she announced to the Fools she was taking this trip. It sounds like fun, I'd love to see Bermuda.

~I'm pretty confident the Make A Wish people will take good care of the family. I wish I knew more about them. I wonder how much attention they'd appreciate from a well-intended group.

It's such a dreary, rainy weekend here. It's been perfect for cruise daydreaming. Boy is my grass going to need to be cut as soon as it quits precipitating!

Joanna - Happy Anniversary and many more. Wishing a Happy Birthday to your mom. My mom just turned 88 years young and she is looking forward to the Disney cruise, Princess cruise, and Explorer cruise. Is your mother doing the Explorer?

Wow Ed - congratulations on the weight loss and sharing the picture. Congrats to Mary Rose and Jenn too. I started LA Weight Loss a month ago and lost only 10 pounds so far. I'll gain that back on the first day of our cruise. :rotfl2:

Terry - congrats on 10,000 posts. That's awesome.

Tina - I sent you a PM explaining about my booking. :confused3 That group picture brings back good memories. I remember this confused foreign lady in front of Trail's End asking me directions. :rotfl2:

Doreen - glad things went well with Jaclyn's surgery. I'd like to send her a card. Could you PM me your address? Good luck to you too.

Darlene - welcome back. I was thinking of you the last couple of nights with all the thunderstorms we were having. Can't wait to hear all about Bermuda.

Hi to everyone. Have a great weekend.

Bev :sunny:

Hi Everybody!

Doreen - Thanks for the update. I'll keep saying prayers (for your colon too!)

Terry - Congrats on the 10,000 post WOW!

Ed - You go guy!! That is a fantastic weight loss and you look terrific!

Joanna - In the first place, Happy Anniversary to you and Happy BDay to your Mom. But if you are married 29 years you literally must have been a child bride! I wouldn't have even put you at 40! Anyway, as far as the Nutrisystem food goes, I would order the smallest amount you can to try it (or even buy some on Ebay) because it is NOT cheap. I find it to be pretty good. It tastes look real food only in really, and I mean really, small portions. But I must tell you food isn't really my thing, I don't have a discerning palate - give me sweets all the way!

Happy Sunday everyone. Weather's still lousy here in NJ.

Good Luck to everyone getting or staying up tonight! I hope you get everything you want!

Now I have to go back over to Zazzle, I'm trying to design a Cruise t-shirt and I am really finding out how artistically challenged I am! LOL

Later Gators,
Mary Rose

Oh MaryRose...My best friend in the world, of course I was a child bride :rotfl: Now where do I have to send that check to LOL The thing that throws everyone off is my kids ages. We were married 15 years before we had our first child, I should have GRANDCHILDREN at this stage of the game!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I keep saying I want to try NutriSystems weekends OFF plan. I'll start on a Wednesday, so it won't be so bad.

Bev...No, my mom isn't going on the Explorer. WTG to your mom for having 3 cruises planned God Bless her at 88 and rarin' to go.

Terry...I think I said this already, but if I haven't CONGRATS to Craig  Enjoy the excitement associated with his graduation.

Joanna: Barb is Newholidayx2 and Karen is from the UK. Does that ring a bell now? Happy Anniversay ! Also Happy B-day to your Mom.

Darlene: Welcome back ! :cheer2: I can't wait to hear all about your trip.

Ed: You look great. Keep up the good work. :Pinkbounc

Joanna - You're so funny!! Honestly, it's not the age of your kids, it's how you look - you look really young! (BTW, your hubby look young too, not as young as you of course, but young LOL). Let me know how it goes with Nutrisystem. I wish I could do weekends off but Alas I have too much to lose. Also, we are considering the cruise next Aug. we just have to see when Taryn will have to be at college GULP!

-Mary Rose

Good morning everyone! :sunny:

Well I woke up feeling pretty lousy this morning. I have a bad sore throat, sinus pain, and chills. John isn't feeling well either, so we probably have the same thing. The weather is still nasty here, so it's a good day to stay in (again! lol), but I know we need to run to the store later to pick up a few things.

Anyway...

Doreen: I am so relieved to hear the good news about Jaclyn's surgery. :goodvibes I hope she has a quick recovery from the surgery. I hope all goes well with your colonoscopy. I had that done a few years ago and the procedure itself was nothing at all (gotta love the anaesthesia. lol), but I hated the day before and drinking that nasty stuff!

Bev: Congrats on making the final payment, that is something to celebrate!

Ed: You look FANTASTIC! :sunny: Congrats on your weight loss success!! :cheer2: :cheer2:

Joanna: HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!! I hope you and your DH have a wonderful day!!

RobinMarie: Thanks for the "Congrats" for DS! :sunny: I actually had him when I was almost 27 years old. I am old; just turned 45 last week. :rolleyes1 I don't know why, but I've never been shy about revealing my age. LOL I mean, I hate to say I'm 45 because in theory (and in fact!) it *sounds* so old to me. In my MIND, I'm only about 23 years old! :teeth: :lmao:

Oh, I'm also doing the 11am Sunday Castaway Ray Stingray Adventure! I know that Moira is going to book that too. It'll be fun! :fish:

Darlene: Can't wait to hear how you and Stan enjoyed Bermuda! :beach:

MaryRose...Glad you are considering the cruise next year. Taryn..College...already :confused3

Tina...Karen=Florida Sun? Yes, I remember. Barb... Not sure? Sorry Barb, but I stopped visiting here often after we cancelled, but I'm back to chat now although i'm not sailing.

Joanna: Barb's DIS name is newholiday, and she is no longer on this cruise, which is probably why you don't know who she is. She cancelled a few months ago, and the last I knew, she was going to be at WDW during the same time period :)

We're also considering another cruise for next year. A 4-night Disney cruise on the Wonder with another couple, friends of ours from Canada. It's still in the planning stages, but if we do decide to go ahead with it, we'd rebook while onboard our August cruise, so we could get the discount and stateroom credit. We'd combine that cruise with a Disney World trip and make our own "Land & Sea" vacation. :teeth: We'd probably fly down on a Thursday and stay at a Disney resort until the cruise on Sunday. Then fly back the following Thursday which is the day we'd be getting off the ship. All done in 1 week, so John wouldn't have to take off too much time from work. I hope these plans work out, I think it'd be fun to sail on the Wonder after 2 trips on the Magic. :)

Have any of you done the 4-night cruise? What are the main differences between it and the 7-night cruise? I think I've read that they don't have Afternoon Tea or Character Breakfasts on the Wonder....??

Was out in the fine weather here and the board takes flight! What is it going to be like when I am out of touch this week! Fly off tomorrow evening at 5pm so I am all set for booking tomorrow morning. And yes Tina, I wil be able to saunter out of bed at 7.45am, in time for the 8am kick off! Andrew (UK) gave me a good tip so I am all set to rock and roll....

Dieters, you put me to shame! Jenn & Ed 62lbs and 65lbs! You are definitely motivated people! :thumbsup2 Mary Rose, read about the Nutrisystem, looks good! Please God I will break the back of this terrible relationship I have with food. :stir:

Robin Marie, hopefully I will get the 11am slot on Monday for the Stingray Adventure too... looking forward to it! We will also try for the Jungle Beach break in Costa Maya and the floats etc for the two days in CC (thanks to Terry and her posting on the discount offer for floats on our trip!). Still want to do parasailing but DH won't do it... and I don't know if I am brave enough... was thinking that I'd book this when on board and if there was a space then I was meant to do it(I'm great for taking advantage of fate when it suits me!).
Doreen, delighted to hear that all went well so far... Good Luck with your colonoscopy. We were absolutely delighted with the DVD you sent, you are sooo kind. I have met the nicest people! :goodvibes The two of us (Caoimhe and myself) are self declared cruise addicts.. John is a lilttle bewildered by us now! Saw a post the other day about those addicted to the different cruising boards and I am one of those!

Terry, hope you are feeling better... :sunny:

Joanna, Happy Anniversary and what a great age for your mother to be! Here's to many many more. :teeth:

The Make a Wish Foundation is a wonderful and worthy cause, there is a branch here in Ireland too. And well put Robin Marie, I hope that they have a wonderful time filled with memories.

Ed, presume I'll be talking to you early in the a.m.! Along with all the other frirst time cruisers! :lmao:

Until then...Moira
