Karen in Wmsburg - I'm over here in Chesapeake, spent many Saturdays at Wm & Mary this winter (DS was taking a Sat. program there). My dear DIS friends from Poquoson (whom I met on my last Magic cruise) met me there a few times to keep me company!

I've been travelling lots - Fla for work, Vegas for fun, now 2 weeks in Boston for work; hard to get my mind around Cruise planning! Almost time to book those 'scursions; I'm thinking Fury Catamaran; anyone have experience there?

My kids were still off today.. YIPPEE back to school tomorrow.. Daniel has a cast on his leg now.. Wasnt a fun weekend for him.. I miss my helper...

Kids were watching scarying movies this weekend.. and stayed up till 2am. some days.. of course I had to be there as well.. I am so looking forward to a nap tomorrow..

I'd really like to sign up for the Palo brunch but I'm afraid it might end up being on our character breakfast day. We also decided to skip Palo for dinner this cruise because we don't want to miss out on any of our dinners in the main dining rooms. We loved Palo when we ate there on our last cruise, but I ate way too much food. I guess we will just have to make sure we meet everyone at the sail away meet & perhaps if a meet is planned on CC.

We are also going to do the DCL excursion to the Costa Maya ruins. DH is just much more relaxed knowing DCL is responsible for the excursion.

Diane: My DH feels the same way about the DCL Costa Maya excursion. We are doing that one. I read in the passporter that the meeting time is usually around 12:00. Kinda wish it was first thing in the morning so all the walking wasn't in the afternoon heat..........still wan't to go though.

Is the character breakfast always assigned for different days for different cabins? Do you know how they work that? Thanks, Tina

Would you believe I am sampling one of my items at the moment - and it isn't food! (Not allowed to post food via post to US, pity cause we have some serious chocolate here!).

I am having a ball doing this - definitely therapeutic! And I'm trying to get things that are not available in America - v. hard! We are completely americanized here, my favourite show is Lost and I love all the talk shows Dr Phil, Oprah, The Tyra Banks Show and any reality TV...

PS Andrew, Thanks for your advice. I emailed Disney Cruise about my document timings yesterday. I have already paid for the cruise in full so I don't think I'd be able to change (though I would be afraid to change in case I would mess it up altogether!) I also asked them for a vacation planning kit, as they are not available to addresses outside the US (I would imagine that's to do with Region 1 settings) but my PC is set to Region 1 and I would love to show my daughter what to expect!

Were you able to get around this one?

Hi All.


We having even started thinking about excursion's yet, been bucy planning return trip home. We are taking autotrain down, and staying a few days at Old Key West Resort before the cruise, then at the Radisson the night before.

After the cruise we are driving home to CT, via Gaitlingburg and the Blue Ridgeway. I've been busy making reservations for the return trip home.
2 days in a cabin overlooking the Smoky Mountains.

We should arrive home sometime just before the labor day weekend begins.

Being a first time cruisor not sure what excursions we may want to take with our dd(9).

At least the cuise is paid in Full, now I need to wait to the 75 day window for making resevations for the ship board items, ( thats if any are left after the 105 and 90 days AR's are done).

All this and maybe a bathroom renovation to deal with, we have a contrator comming tomorrow to give us an estimate.

And we need to file for dd passport this week and dw (renewal).

It never seems to end does it.

I called DCL just now at 12:39PM and they gave me the following prices:

Champagne Brunch: $10.00PP
High Tea: $5.00pp
Dinner: $10.00pp

Anytime you are in this area pm me with your phone # and maybe we can meet before the cruise.

I started to shop for Cruise Exchange!!! OYE!!(just kidding)!

I just received in the mail yesterday the 4th edition of the Passporters for DCL. Alot of good reading.

Moria: I bet you have some real " yummies" over there in Ireland. To bad your not able to ship any over here. That's a good tease you gave........you have me stumped. If it's not food ,I have not a clue on what your sampling.

Ed: Same time last year we took kids to Gatlinburg last year for vacation. It was a longggg drive but well worth it ! There is so much to do. On the way down we stopped in VA and saw the Natural Bridge. Don't worry about being able to book excursions, I believe they save certain amount of spots each day out so they don't all get filled at once.

Karen: I got my passporter on Saturday and I can't put it down ! It's my first one.........I got the deluxe and I am addicted. I just love it. Thanks for checking on Palo. I know where I got the 20.00 now. It's 20.00 total.

Tina: I believe the character breakfast depends on your rotation but I'm not positive. I just know that you don't find out till you're in your stateroom. Yes 12 is a bit late but it would be nice if we can sleep in & head to breakfast at our leisure.

We haven't paid off our cruise yet. DH wants to wait till we absolutely have to. He figures better in our pocket than Disney's. But I do want to do it soon because you can't book excursions etc. till it's paid right? What day can Castaway Club members make reservations?

Diane: You can make your reservations at the 90 day mark as long as your cruise is paid in full. Here is a link where if you put in your cruise date it will give you a exact date.

I am able to make mine on May 6th..........because we are doing the romance package. Thay's why we are busy trying to make all of our plans now. It includes one night at Palo. We were interested in doing the character breakfast. We never did that before. If I could figure out that one out I would be thrilled ! I have requested APL if that helps........I was planning on having brunch on the first sea day. Time does seem to be going by faster now. Can't wait.

Doreen: I didn't really think about Delta hmmm hope we don't have a problem. I know when we tried with Airtran and tried to book the tickets the price had jumped 60.00 per person so we said forget it and wen't with Delta.

I finally got my CASTAWAY CLUB members straighten out.. We never got the cards for the last trip or the survival gifts.. ... Hopefully we got it done now...

Busy day today.. Made 2 cakes already.. Have to take JACLYN for senior pics... take her to work for a short time.. take DANIEL for an orientation for.. get this.. an AQUATIC teen helper at the Y ,, with a CAST on his leg... and have both of their BIRTHDAY PARTIES for the family tonight.. and they wont even be here..
