Tina: I've had bad dreams where I was falling from a window or from the sky... I just don't know how I'll react once I get up that high in real life! I wouldn't want to be too scared to enjoy it, you know??


Karen: I remember the A&P!! LOL There was one near my house when I was growing up. The grocery stores near me still have the coffee grinders and loose beans right in the stores so you can grind fresh coffee... It smells so good when I walk down that aisle! I'm drinking tea right now... starting to wish I had made coffee instead! lol

Karen, Just found this on the internet, and it even mentions the coffee!! Apparently there are still A&P stores around, I saw that mentioned on another web site.

A & P Grocery Store
The A & P Grocery Store was located in the middle of the 500 block of Chestnut Street directly north of the Princess Sweet Shop. This picture shows Bob Webster minding the store. Later Eddie Barr ran the store for many years. The store was closed in the 1970's and the building was razed along with the Princess Sweet Shop to make way for the new IGA grocery store.
Many of us remember the smell of the Eight O'clock coffee that was ground for customers at the store.

Yikes I'm in the #2 spot. LOL My sons are on spring break now too. Robby and I will be going to the NJ shore on Monday, and coming back on Friday. John and Craig will be staying home to hold down the fort... and because they both have to work. LOL Have a great weekend and a great week, everyone!

Hope you don't miind me asking a question but did you ever have an issue with not receiving your documentation on time (seeing as you are also on this side of the water and have been crusing before!)

When I booked with Virgin holidays they did turn up a bit close to the departure but ok.

I recently have booked through Dreams unlimited and I asked them to ensure DCL knew I was in the UK, and for last years 14 day repo that I was going to the USA some 13 days before the cruise.

Dreams passed that on to DCL, and juging by thep osts on these boards for the 14 day repo mine arrived very quickly.

If booking by Dreams they still come direct from DCL, Ithink by weither DCL or UPS and stil lseem ot only take a few days from the date on the documents.

Ensure your TA or DCL know your plans, hope this helps.

I booked directly from DCL and we are leaving here a week before the cruise so I'll ring tomorrow to let them know this.

It worked for me, you can also E.mail them directly on the DCL site and they usually reply quickly. Another option is to transfer your Ressie to a TA like Dreams unlimited, and they will do it for you. We cannot transfer TA for UK bookings but in USA it appears its ok, so you could if booked directly with DCL, move tihs over and they give you support, and sometimes some other perks.

We finally got our airline tickets for the cruise ! We ended up on Delta.
We still have to get our tickets for our July trip...........

I'd really like to sign up for the Palo brunch but I'm afraid it might end up being on our character breakfast day. We also decided to skip Palo for dinner this cruise because we don't want to miss out on any of our dinners in the main dining rooms. We loved Palo when we ate there on our last cruise, but I ate way too much food. I guess we will just have to make sure we meet everyone at the sail away meet & perhaps if a meet is planned on CC.

We are also going to do the DCL excursion to the Costa Maya ruins. DH is just much more relaxed knowing DCL is responsible for the excursion.
