Hi Ed--I think we were getting carried away with the photos last night, weren't we??? :rotfl2: :rotfl: :rotfl2:

I keep forgetting to mention---Sue wanted to shout out an "HELLO" to everyone!!!

Terry---I passed around your hugs last night as well!!!

Andy

Andy: Sorry about that. I fixed it in the picture. The photo's came out really good. Enjoy the rest of your trip. I hope nobody else gets sick. I am sure it didn't help matters with having to sit on that runway for so long with no air and all those germs. I hope nobody is flying on Northwest because of the strike I had some problems today..........boy oh boy :rolleyes1

Ed: Have a safe trip back ! You have a lovely family. :sunny:

Tina thanks for the quick photos... you all looked so great,... nice to put faces to the names.. and you got to put voices with them too...

Sorry your so sick..Get lots of rest.. How was SUE after her long flight over here.. :wave2:

Someone ask about POP CENTURY awhile back.. We stayed there last summer before our cruise and it was awesome. We had prefered room 60's right near the main pool and dining hall...I will have to check my papers to see what room..( Daniel will remember but he is still sleeeping),...
At fist we were on the top floor up and way back.. well those that went cruising with us may recall that is when Karens knee problem started since she fell that day at home leaving for the airport and messed up her knee..so we fought for a closer room..

I thought it was great.. For the amt of time your in the room and all...You bassically get the same food as Carribean Beach resort and of course the same service.. If you want a more formal dining arrangement ... go to the other hotels.. The buses ran so freg... that we never noticed a time lag either. And of course it was neat walking the grounds and seeing the old paraphanila*sp from the 60s and 70s and then all the tall replicas of the toys from those eras...

Sue I hope you and VICKI enjoyed it.. I dont think I developed my underwater film yet from there,,lol :rotfl:

OK time to get JACLYN off to work,, my time for the shower..

Doreen

What a difference a day can make............This was taken from our window on Friday. It is now only 73 outside now.

Doreen: Yes those voices love Sue and Karen's accent. :goodvibes Sue & Vicki were tired but were hanging in there. Sue is a hoot. :rotfl2: She was just cracking me up. Everyone is really nice the only bad thing about it it all...............is wanting the cruise to be NOW so I can spend more time with these people. When you get a chance PM a location on a place to meet so I can let Linda know o.k? Did we pick a time ? I fogot because my head is a little foggy. I am going back to bed soon. My nose just won't stop running. keep getting the chills.

Oh no TINA.. this is STATE FAIR week,, and I have a garage sale to do.. that weekend.. I forgot!!! It was supose to be this weekend.. Let me find out what my mom whats to do and if I can still do it for a few hours..

What kind of place do you want to meet at>>
A relaxed place, A Ruby Tuesday place,
A home cooking Place?and what time.... Also... withthe fair going on it may be hard to find a place to go with all the out of town people here... Do we have to RESCEDULE again????

UGGGGG!!!! and with you not feeling well...
DOREEN

You would not believe the day we had today, if I was to tell you all what happened, you would say, yea right.

We left the cabin at 12:45PM to take a one hour ride north to my mom's place. Well, that one hour ride wound up being a five hour trip. We were about half way to my mom's when her car broke down on I-4. My mom called her brother and he came to the rescue. My uncle had to take my mom and I to Sanford International Airport so we could get a rental car as all the local rental car offices closed a 1pm.

On the way from the airport to where we left Hazel and Angelina waiting for us, my uncle called us to let us know that his truck broke down just as he was getting ready to get on I-4. Luckily, after about five minutes he called and said he got his truck running again. We pulled off I-4, just in time to see all the traffic backed up. A man on a motorcycle had been hit by a car and he was laying in the middle of the road. The police were directing traffic so we were able to get around him just before the ambulance arrived. We picked up Hazel and Angelina then were back on the road again, by now it was 5:30pm. We arrived at my mom's at 6pm, and pulling in behind us was my uncle and nephew. After we got our wits about us, we drove to CJ's Seafood House and got a bite of dinner. To my surprise the restaurant had Rock Shrimp, of course, that's what I ordered.

Well, that in a nutshell, was our day. We arrived back at our cabin here at 10:15pm and I'm now waiting until 12:01am so I can check us in for our Southwest flight home Monday afternoon!!!

My mom gave Sue a call as I was typing this message, we are picking Sue and Vicki up tomorrow morning and taking them out to brunch before heading over to the airport. BTW, we rented a nice 7 passenger mini-van. My mom's car will be going in the shop tomorrow afternoon. My uncle thinks the fuel pump went on my mom's car. I'm just glad it happened today, and not on Monday as we were heading for the airport!!!

Happy Trails from Fort Wilderness!!! :wave2:

Andy: Sorry you had to go through that ! I agree on the bright side it didn't happen on the way to the airport ! I have never heard of rock shrimp......What is the difference? :confused3 Tell everyone I said "Hi" Have a safe flight home !

Doreen: I understand completely ! Sent you a PM

Welcome to all the new people recently........This is a fun group. Join in anytime.

I have to have more bloodwork taken today :faint: Friday I find out results and next step. I was also suppose to lose 5-10 lbs. hmmm don't think that happened.

Hello everyone - live from the Carnival Glory. :sunny: It was great meeting everyone Friday at Trail's End. We had such a good time. Tina - I owe you :rotfl2: .

The limo ride was great. I surprised everyone by hiring an Excursion stretch limo to take us to Port Canaveral. We're having fun but this is not Disney :sad2: Enjoyed our one night stay at the Pop. Very interesting.

Gotta go get ready for dinner.

Hope everyone is fine and will post when I return on the 2nd.

HELLO TO ALL MY DIS FRIENDS :grouphug:

Monday 8/22/05--3:00pm

Here we are sitting in the Orlando Airport waiting to board our 4:25pm flight home. We had a very nice breakfast buffet meal this morning with Sue and Vicki. After breakfast, we took Sue and Vicki back to Pop Century, then we headed for the airport. This was the “third” time we said good-bye to Sue and Vicki since Friday night, LOL!!!. Sue and Vicki are both very charming ladies, and we can’t wait to spend our dinner meals with them on the August 2006 cruise.

I had a minor fall this morning as my mom and I were arriving back at our cabin after making a trip to buy my nephew a Fort Wilderness t-shirt to wear home on our flight. I reached the top step, but could not get my right foot all the way to the top step. My sneaker got caught under the lip of the top step, and down I went onto the deck landing. I just laid there and started laughing. The more I tried to get up, the harder I laughed. My nephew Peter (age 12) came running out of the cabin to help my mom get me up. I was able to get turned over to push myself up, but I started laughing even harder, by now, my mom was laughing as well. I was finally able to grab a hold of the rail that runs along the deck, and pull myself up. What a way to end our trip. The only that got hurt was my pride, although I did scrape my right leg. When I told Sue what had happened, she told me to get on the plane today and take it easy, I think I will do just that, LOL!!!

Monday 8/22/05--8:55pm

We arrived home about 30 minutes ago, we had a very nice flight home and are happy to be back in our humble abode, SAFE and SOUND!!! I'm sitting here icing my knee down and eating a sandwich. I miss everyone already.

Hi Bev--enjoy your cruise!!!

Sue--when you finally get to read this, I just wanted you to know how much we enjoyed sharing time and meals with you and Vicki over the weekend. Angelina said to say HI to Vicki.

Andy

Please add the Pontarelli Family ("Disneypoly") to the list of 8/19/06 cruisers!!!! :boat:

We just sailed on the 8/14 Wonder and booked next year's cruise with the onboard incentive. We weren't sure what date to sail next year, and we're going to sail on the 12th, but after visiiting the Board and seeing all of you crusing on the 19th, I quickly called Disney and changed our dates.

Castoff .... so glad to see you sailing again. When visiting Castaway Cay we were talking about your wedding. Also, our great time at Palo's with everyone.

We're all doing the happy dance

Tony, Maureen, DS Anthony (17), DD Carla (14), DS Nicholas (12) and DD Madeline (8) -- we have late dining.

DisneyPoly--welcome aboard to the Cruisin' Castaways 2006 Cruise, we're a fun bunch!!!!! We do have several families that are linked up for late dining, if you'd like to join the group, give a shout here on the thread. It's been so long, I actually forget who it is that are linked together. It's called having a senior moment, LOL!!!

Ed--sorry to hear about your travel problems, here's some :wizard: for the rest of your journey. It's so nice to be back home, it will even be nicer when I get to crawl in my own bed tonight!!!

DisneyPoly: Welcome Aboard ! I am doing the happy dance with you.  Can you believe it's already been 9 months? No kids on this cruise they will have there own vacation. We also have late dining. zach&alexmom is also going on this cruise. With this many people think you might be up for Dis Tag. :rotfl2: Please don't be a stranger Maureen and tell Anthony that Chuck and I say "Hello"

Andy:Glad you made it home safely not so sure about your knee though. Really hope you start to take it easy there Andy. :wizard: I really enjoyed meeting your family. I haven't brought myself to touch the goodies because they are just to cute. :goodvibes Thanks again :flower:

Bev:Thanks for the update ! Enjoy your trip. Even though it's not Disney, I still hope you have a "Magical" time. :goodvibes Don't worry Bev........you don't owe me anything. :rotfl2:

Tina--I still think lime green hair would have went perfect with your lime green top, LOL!!! It was great meeting you and your mom as well!!! We still have a few "goodies" left here as well, but they "WILL" be eaten soon!!!

Isn't Sue a riot, we had so much fun sharing the past few days together. If my mom gets her car fixed in time, she is hoping to be able to drive back to WDW and meet up with Sue again before Sue and Vicki head home to Wales.

We're not actually booked yet on this particular cruise, but I've posted a couple of messages and the responses have been helpful. We're considering two dates in August. I'm waiting to hear back from my Board of Ed. I'm a little worried the 8/19 cruise is cutting it too close to the start of school.

When I do book I wanted to be prepared with my insurance decision and dinner seating. I'm probably going with the Costco quote and they also offer insurance at what seems to be a great deal and meets my expectations. Is there an advantage to booking directly w/ Disney vs. Costco? I've been finding Costco very helpful.

Costco suggested taking the 2nd dinner seating. That way you can bring the kids to a "special" early buffet, take in the 6:30 show, drop off the kid's at the club & then go to the late dinner. I hadn't considered that and wasn't sure what this "special" buffet was. I'm not sure I'd want to do that every night. Your dining assignment is for the entire duration, correct?

Thanks again for all your help. Hopefully, we'll be able to firm up our decision soon. Maggie

Verandah Man ... we would love to be added to the dinner link ... the more the merrier I always say!

Tina ... I can't believe 9 months has passed ... I wish we would have had the forethought to plan our cruise last week while sailing in November, but ... oh well

We are all looking forward to a 7 night, although I'm a little skeptical about the August sailing date re: the weather. Last week's cruise was beautiful and very, very calm seas. In fact, the weather in the Bahamas, was cooler than in Central Florida.

I'm going to enjoy counting down with everyone and certainly am up for a game of DIS Tag!
