Chiming in late, but I was at WDW for my 40th on Jan. 25! :cool1:

The bad part is that we left on my birthday. :sad2:
But I was able to get my Birthday Fun Card and had no trouble spending it all! :thumbsup2

:bday: to all my fellow 40-ish-ers! party:
Having been 40 for a few weeks now, I can assure you that it's not that bad. :)

My birthday is March 6, 1968. I turned 40 last year in WDW with my boy Mickey! I thought I was going to get away from the taunts of friends and family by being in Florida but they all fooled me by throwing me a suprise party the day After I came home. (i had no idea!)
This year I will be taking my 4th solo trip May 1-9th staying at CSR!!! WOO HOO:cool1: My last few vacations I have met many nice Disers including Antttss, Aubriee, Penconn, Nie, Colette, Adrian, Disneybride03, Colette, Glendamax and many others. Hope you guys all have a blast in May!!!:goodvibes

Feb. 18, 1969 for me. That means just 16 more days!!!

I know I won't be traveling there on my birthday, since I'm too lazy to drive the 34.7 miles. Plus it's a work day. Plus I'm too old for Disney. Plus, umm...

Correction: I very well might be there for my Birthday, as my boss approved the day off for me. Besides, I was going to try visiting every weekend until it got hot and crowded, but will probably skip this weekend due to possible crowds. So I'd need to make up for it, and a Wednesday in mid-February should be perfect.

I am writing in for DH who turns 40 this year. His birthday is 10-5-69 and mine is 10-16-71 so although I do not qualify per say we are planning on going some time in that window.

Happy Birthday to those of you turning 40 this year!:flower3:

We will not be bringing the boys (17 and 14);)
We are very similar.

DH is 8-24-69. I am 5/15/71. So, I don't quite qualify yet, he will!! I am hoping to surprise him with a very short trip for his bday (w/o the kids), although he despises the heat and indulged me a 3 week trip last July. If we aren't able to do that we are heading to the world from 11/20-12/5 and will celebrate then

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU ALL!!!

I was born on June 13, 1969. I will be celebrating at Disney Sept 12 - 19th. I wish I could go in June, because my Sister's birthday is June 16th, so that would have been a great week to go, but we are hoping for the free dining plan in September.

I can't believe I found this thread! I'll be celebrating the big 4-0 in mid-May along with our 5th anniversary and are seriously considering WDW for a long weekend. My husband finds out on Monday if he can get the time off.

If so, I'm pretty set on Port Orleans, I just haven't decided between Riverside or the French Quarter...any suggestions?

We don't have kids so I'm sure people will think we're nuts for picking WDW, but we only have three days so this sounds like a great option. Plenty to do even if the weather isn't that great and we'll be nice and tired by the time the last day rolls around.

Happy Birthday Everyone!!

I'll be stayed at Port Orleans French Quarter for the first time during my trip in May. I picked French Quarter because I love New Orleans. I'm really looking forward to it!!!

Hi everyone -

I have noticed that a lot of people are going to Disney this year to celebrate their 40th birthday - either they turned 40 last year and are going belatedly (like me) or they will be turning 40 this year.

So this thread is a roll call for all us born in 1968 or 1969. Sign in and say "Hi".

If you will be celebrating your 40th at Disney (either Disneyland or Walt Disney World), let us know! Maybe you can meet other DISers during your trip!!

I'll start -

Birth date: May 13, 1968 (celebrating my 40th birthday a year late :) )
Visiting: WDW - May 12th - May 19th!

ETA -

I would like to extend a hearty "Welcome to Club 40" to all who post here! :wave2:

Whether you are celebrating your 40th birthday at Disney or not, I hope that your special day will be filled with Magic and pixiedust:!!!

party: Happy Early Birthday Everyone!!! :bday:

Hi,
I am going to WDW to celebrate Donalds 75th Birthday, but I will be turning 40 on June 30th this year! I will be in wdw in March though. Happy Birthday to everybody celebrating the big one!

Hi everyone!!

I'll be celebrating my 40th birthday in less than two weeks.

February 28,1969. I feel better now than when i was 20.

:rolleyes1

It will be my 40th this year as well!!! My birthdate is Dec 21, 1969. We are going to WDW this Aug however, Aug 23-28 and staying at the WL (The one resort i have always wanted to stay and visit!!!) We have a woodsview, ... need pixy dust to hopfully get an upgrade to courtyard or better. I booked with a 40% code!!!
Happy Birthday everyone - great club to be in!!!

Ok, so I will be there on my birthday for sure. After all, how can I pass up that $75 gift card? Unfortunately, I'll also be spending part of my 40th visiting the doctor for the first time in 4-5 years (because I finally have insurance for the first time in 4-5 years).

"Happy Birthday!" <hears the snap of a rubber glove> "This might be a little uncomfortable..."

WORST BIRTHDAY GIFT EVER! :scared1:

Hi All!!

I just turned 40 on 12/19. I'm planning a solo trip in March! I'm excited and nervous all at the same time!!

Happy Birthday !!!

Susie :yay:

I turned 40 last August, but am planning a belated birthday trip the end of October for MNSSHP. I've never been in October before and am really looking forward to attending the party (never been to that before either). I also have 5 free nights worth of points with Starwood, so I may go down the week of my birthday (or in May for the Flower & Garden festival).

DH & I both turned 40 this past summer. DH in June, me in July. We went to WDW in August. We are going again this August. For our birthdays and anniversary (Sept) we bought our family DVC on our last trip! :yay:
