Calling all 1968 & 1969 babies!

Thanks Angela, for the link to your thread.

Add me to the list of "Turning 40 this year"! :scared:
But at least we'll be spending MINE at the Grand Floridian!!
We arrive exactly on my birthdate - Sept 19th. :yay:

It's too bad we couldn't book our trip for 2 weeks earlier though - unfortunately it's the 1st week of school. In just 4 days we could have had FOUR Birthday Fun Cards, instead of just ONE!!

Happy birthday and welcome to Club 40!!!

That's too bad. FOUR birthday fun cards would have been great!!!

DH 10/28/1969
Me 12/5/1969

We are going in June, as DH is a teacher and our twins will be entering kindergarten this fall. Someday (like when DH is retired!), I'd like to go for both of our bdays (MNSSHP and MVMCP :woohoo: )

Welcome to Club 40!! MNSSHP and MVMCP are my favorites!!! Once I have an empty nest, I plan to make these parties every year

Yikes! $300 of Disney souvenirs going unclaimed?! I couldn't do it. I think some things are just more important than school! (which might have explained my grades) :rotfl2:

Just found this thread and was so excited! I brought 25 of my closest friends down to the AKL last year to celebrate turning 40! We had the best time! Drank our way around EPCOT and went to a pirate and princess party! So much fun. It really is the best way to turn 40.

Headed down to POFQ in a few days to have a much more relaxing time of it this year. My birthday is in Feb so we are celebrating a little late- but couldn't get time off in Feb this year!

Wow, 25 friends!!! That sounds like a fabulous trip!!!

I'll be staying at POFQ for the first time during my birthday trip in May!

Happy belated birthday and I hope you enjoy your trip!!!

I turned 40 last Sept but didn't even get to make it to Disneyland. :sad2: So near and yet so far.

I wandered over to this side of the board because I am hoping to go to WDW in 2012 when our twin boys graduate from high school. :woohoo: This will be for just DH and I to celebrate getting them through school so I was looking at info for adults traveling without kids and found this thread. I just had to add myself to the 40's list. :goodvibes

We have never been to WDW so I'm getting a head start on what to expect.

We do get to go to DLR for a week for our 20th anniversary this year though!

Well Folks I finally did it - I booked the trip today! Mom and I will be going Sept. 27 - Oct. 2 with the free dining offer, staying at POR. See you 1968/1969 babies there!:cool1::yay:

You and your mom are going to have a great time!!!

Just found this thread...I'm usually hanging out on the Cruise threads but ventured out today :goodvibes

I'm turning 40 in November but figured I'd celebrate on the Magic in September (7 night eastern w/ Tortola). Really I'm doing a "celebrating 40" year - will celebrate w/ my father on a baltic cruise at the end of this month, & also treating myself to a tropical weekend away (solo but that's ok) to Turks & Caicos over the 4th of July weekend.

I do plan to go to WDW on my actual bday too :rotfl:

I used to think that 40 was old, til I turned 40 :lmao: I told my son the other day that I was too young to be old :rotfl2:

Happy early birthday, Jo! You're right, 40 is great!!!

Wow, I'm coming to the party a bit late!

Since I broadly scream the next trip dates in my signature, you'll notice I will be totally skirting around my birthday on two trips. No $75 birthday gift card for me. ;)

It's pretty amazing to see all the 40s for this year! Actually, I will be helping a DIS pal celebrate her 40th in October, and another DIS pal just had her 40th, but we'll all be doing one big celebration dinner for ourselves!
