I have been married 6 years now and my original wedding was not on Disney property though my husband wanted to give me that so badly. I was a Disneyland cast member at the time but our guest list was so huge it just was not feasible. So he promised me that I could renew my vows at Disneyworld for our 10 anniversary.
That date would be November 18th 2016 and I am already trying to get the planning going. Though I know a renewal will not be as big as a wedding it will mean everything to me.
For those of you with experience, what can you suggest? I want this to be the most magical experience possible. I am excited because my children will also be involved.
In our 6 years of marriage we have been though quite a bit, having a child born with a disability, life threatening surgery for my husband, lots of health issues for myself, my father beating cancer only to have it return and currently being treated, my brother being killed at just 35 years old to name a few things. Our annual trip to Disney is our favorite time of the year, we look forward to it more than Christmas so this vow renewal has to be absolutely magical. It will mean so much to my husband to fullfill my dreams so I want to get started on the right foot.
Any tips and suggestions or stories would be so appreciated.

I think it is a wonderful idea. I really don't have anything to offer myself since I am not a Disney bride. laugh I have been married for almost 26 years and I just came to this thread category today because I am a romantic and I also needed a Disney fix!

Have fun with your planning!

Hiya, I'm completely new to the thread and have no experience with what your asking but the memories package would seem like a good place to start. It seems really intimate and romantic.

Good luck and best wishes.

Hi Tourpixie
I'm currently planning my Memories wedding - these are also used for vow renewals. I don't know how many guests you are looking to have, but you are only allowed 6 in attendance at the 'ceremony' - that inludes the 'couple' (you and hubby) so only four guests. Of course other family could attend a celebratory Disney dinner later in the day!

Also you can only book this six months in advance to the date so you would be looking at May 2016. I was a bit panicky about this but our chosen date/venue was available and others on Disboards have said they've also had no problem getting their choice.

Current choices are:

Conch key Marina - GF Resort
Luau Beach - Polynesian
Sunrise Terrace - wilderness Lodge

You can google for pics of these.

They have four times available - 9am 11am 1pm and 3pm

You will find lots of info on the Disney weddings site.

Good luck! I am sure this will be a really happy time for you :)
