Hi everyone. I am doing my first solo trip to WDW in about a week. I am usually really good at planning my trips. A lot of the time, I plan trips and everything goes to plan. I always know that something can always change. However, since I'm doing a shorter trip than normal, I feel like I have planned way to much. I plan on purchasing the express transportation service, which seems to work out with the plans I have thought out. I'm particularly looking for advice on my day 2, 3, and 4 of my 5 day trip.

Thanks for any advice!

I don't know that that's doable. Some of your fast pass windows are pretty tight and, personally, we are a rope drop to close family, it just seems like you're cramming SO much in so little. Everything would have to go JUST right for your plans to work.

Why hop so much? It seems like you're losing so much time going to three parks a day.

I hope it is doable for you and I hope you have a great time. The logistics of it though, I just don't know if it's possible.

Seems somewhat doable, but you have some tight timing there. That's a LOT of Voices of Liberty there, but seems like you like it a lot so why not? Some of your hops may take longer than anticipated. I notice your 4:40 HS to AK, with a FP that expires at 5:50. That's a bit close if you ask me considering it could take an hour.

It actually sounds like you might be there on some of the same dates that I will be. I'm there March 5, 6, & 7. If you're interested in hanging out or just grabbing a bite or something, let me know (My 6th is kind of a full day, but I'm planning on AK morning of the 7th, and Epcot the rest of the day through EMH, unless I walk to HS for one of the shows - it depends on what I do on Monday).

At the pace we usually go, Day 2 sounds completely doable to me. Day 3 , I think from Lion King on it will be tight and you may not make everything. Day 4 looks pretty doable.

Nothing jumps out at me as impossible. Other than American Adventure at Epcot during EMH. Does it operate during EMH?

And be aware, you won't have a good spot to watch SW Fireworks if you watch all of F!

Oh, one other area I'd change is on day 3.
EE is a decent hike from the bus drop point. Then you have yourself hiking back for LK.
I'd probably opt to do Safari and then ride EE stand by later when you head to the area for RoL. Lines are short for it at night. Usually so short they close down single rider.

It sounds like a lot of jumping around, but with the express transportation that shouldn't be too much of an issue. I don't understand all the Voices of Liberty - are you going to watch it 9 times?

I think the express bus to AK after BatB show might be very tight, but if you miss it/ and miss the EE FP, you can always do Single Rider so I wouldn't worry too much about it.

Have a great trip!! That thrills tour should be awesome.

Luckily the bus stop is right across from the exit of the BatB show. 1 min walk at most. Sit up at the top of the theater so you can scoot out and it shouldn't be any problem.

Day 2--. From Epcot to Hollywood Studios I would say either walk (20 minutes) or take the boat. By the time you walk all the way to the front of the park, its likely faster to have just walked there.

Day 3-- It'll be tight making it from DHS to AK in time to make the 5:30 FP+ window. They do give you a 10-15 minute grace period but you'd be cutting it close.. You also may need to cut out a ride after Illuminations as I don't think you'll fit in Frozen and Test Track in time for park closing at 11 unless the wait times are very low.

They are using the Express bus transportation, not regular buses. It's going to save time every time simply by skipping security and turnstiles.

This is my last trip for a while. I'm basically only going to catch Rivers of Light, and go one final time before my AP expires. So, in many ways, I'm trying to hit my highlights. That's why I booked the Ultimate Day of Thrills Tour. I'm aware that everything needs to go just right. I do walk fast, so we will see. I'm prepared if things don't go to plan.

The Voices of Liberty are my favorite thing on WDW property. I'm a singer/musician, so I usually sit in the American Adventure while it's the hottest in the afternoon. With express transportation, I did put the time based on the schedule on the express transportation thread. I notice that can change. The time listed is the time the bus would leave.

I will actually be there those days. I arrive on the 5th, but that is an AK day for me. I have a tradition of going to that park first since it's my favorite. That would be fun. I don't know if I would be able to go away from my schedule though.

American Adventure does perform in EMH. I just don't know if I want to waste EMH on it. It seems to be the only time I was able to fit it into my schedule. I'd rather hear the Voices of Liberty than see that show.

I'm aware that I won't have a good spot for SW fireworks, but I am hopeful since I am a solo traveler that I can find a small window. That usually happens when they make everyone stand up. :)

Yes I actually will see them 9 times. They are my favorite thing at WDW. American Adventure being air conditioned + hearing my favorite thing at WDW all afternoon, I'm ok with that.

Another thing about fastpass that most people don't realize...You can show up 15 minutes late, and it will still work for you. I'm confident that fastpass will work with the express transportation though.

I just can't figure out why one would want to see Voices of Liberty 9 times on a 3 day trip :scared:
I'm actually going on a 5 day trip, but they are my favorite thing at WDW. Would you do your favorite thing at WDW 9 times? I'm sure you would. When I have been able to fit all of my favorite things into 5 days, I will be glad to see them 9 times.

Do you skip security when you take the express transportation?? If so, I didn't know that! Now I think it probably is worth the upcharge....

You do skip security. I never did it on my trip in December, but I'm anxious to try it out on this trip for that reason.

Yep, security and turnstiles. That's why only someone with an AP or a hopper ticket can use it. It's the best thing ever. Made hopping go from a chore to a joy

ETA - and the walk will be shorter. The walk to where you get the Express bus is closer than bus stops out front in every instance that I can think of, even from the further points in each park. The one exception might be from Mama Melrose to the bus stop at HS. That may be further than from MM to the bus stop but not by a lot. I think even at MK, going from BTMR to the express bus will be shorter than to the bus stops. At Epcot it is certain to be shorter as you pass the Express bus stop as you go out to the main entrance. And with the entrance at AK being so far out from the park it's going to be shorter walk too

I was upset that they raised the price a week and a half before my trip! If only Disney would let you purchase this in advance!

I sometimes have to clear the AA Rotunda of all guests after VoL's last performance, no I don't work at AA, and some people really, really like them, but many can take them or leave them. Regardless, on a personal level, the members are very nice people and love what they do..
