Just wanted to pass this along. I called today to make a reservation for the California Story Tour on 4/29. The DL website says the time is available, but the CM said it looks like the last dates for the tour will be the weekend before and then the tour will be going dark. She didn't know for how long. She suggested I keep checking back to see if anything changes.

UPDATED: The DL website still showed the time available for 4/29 so I called today 4/4 and was able to make a reservation.

Another shanghai cutback? They should just take the quarter loss than do long term damage with bad visitor experiences, food, reduced entertainment... especially while it's still the diamond celebration.

Perhaps related to the Carthay Circle Lounge and 1901 refurbishment, since 1901 is a featured part of the tour.
The refurbishment is scheduled for May 9-12, but is subject to change.

That will be too bad if that tour goes away, it was a fun tour. A highlight was seeing the 1901 lounge, so I could see them postponing tours until that was refurbed and open. The only complaint I had about the tour was the lunch provided, it was food from Starbucks and it wasn't very good. A lunch at Flo's would have been nicer.

Agreed on the food. It was not good at all, and was definitely a low-light of the tour for us. They got my daughter's food order completely wrong, and didn't seem to care to fix it. They just told me to pull the stuff off of her sandwich that she didn't want. It was a rare moment of not-so-great service from a tour guide.
