California Self-Quarantine Rules

In reviewing the links provided by Westjet for our upcoming trip from Vancouver to LA, it shows that you need your test prior to arrival plus if you are unvaccinated, you need to self-quarantine for 10 days. It says if you are vaccinated, quarantine not required. Question, do they ask for proof of vaccination at airport, either when you leave YVR or arrive in LAX? Also it says that emergency use vaccines like Astra acceptable however, no mention of mixing, I have Astra/Pfizer. Has anyone recently travelled there and can confirm the process/rules?

While the US is making noises about requiring vaccines for tourists, it is currently not mandatory to enter the US and certainly not mandatory to enter California. As for the quarantine, California has had that 'request' in place for nearly a year I believe but it is just that, a request and unlike the quarantine in Canada, unenforced. And since they are not checking vaccine status at this time it does not matter what vaccine you currently have. Could this change in the future? Absolutely. But for now, no.
