California Screamin' Open at 1:00--or Not???

In another thread, NotSoLittleMermaid posted that CS is not always opening on time (the LATE time); she mentioned that it didn't open until after 5:30 on June 18th, and 2 other days that same week it opened at about 1:45.

Has anyone else been noticing a trend with this?

The reason I'm concerned is because I have such a short time for my trip in August, I don't want to waste time standing in a line for an attraction that may not open for up to several hours.

Having said that, I'm also determined to ride Screamin' several times because it was down on our last trip in '05, and I looove this ride!!

Well when I was there from June 7-12, it was running every day right at about 1pm, I didn't notice any problems!! Then there is always the single rider line, you can ride it many many times if you don't mind and wanna go by yourself!!!

I would not stand in line though until you actually see it open!!!

I was there last Sunday and people were on the ride before 1 pm. Cause we went over there at 10ish went on soarin' then walked around and people were on it.

We were there that same week your talking about and experienced the same thing (I can't recall the exact day last week though). One of the days I stayed at the hotel for a nap, and DH and DS went back to ride Screamin, it was around 2pm and it still wasn't open. They said they were doing some work and would get it going when they could. So yeah I guess if the work they are doing needs Screamin to be down longer they'll do it.

When we went back that evening they were able to ride it though no problems. So at least they did open it at some point.

Saturday and Sunday Screamin is open at park opening. It only during the week that it is scheduled to open at 1pm.

Glad to hear this, Tangent! Thanks for the update...hopefully those few days they were just having temporary technical problems, which are all solved for good (yeah, right!).

I dunno, I was there from the 3-13th and I didnt see that there was a problem for them opening the ride at 1:00, but maybe recently there have been a few delays.

The ride will continue to have erratic operating hours while construction of Toy Story Midway Mania continues.
