Our California Pizza Kitchen is finally opening next week! I've never eaten at one. So what's good? Anything we must try? Will the kids like it? I'm hoping it will have curbside! :woohoo:

We dined there in Hollywood a couple months ago. We really enjoyed it although all we had was salad, pizza, and my DS, the King of Pasta, had plain pasta.

Of course, I went in thinking we were getting a true California experience. Was I ever surprised when I took the card off the podium on the way out to see this is a chain with zillions of restaurants all over the wolrd, including 4 here in MA. Plus I later found out our local grocery store sells their pizza. ;)

BBQ chicken pizza is the first thing I ever had at CPK. It was quite yummy!!

Our office occasionally orders lunch from there and everyone swears by the chopped salad. Never tried it myself. It's a bit pricey for lunch delivery, so I tend to stick with the spring rolls appetizer when we do order, otherwise I'm paying $15 for lunch - and since I'm poor, I can't justify spending that much on lunch for 1.

I love California Pizza Kitchen. When I go with family or friends we usually just get a few pizzas and everyone shares. My favorites are the Pear and Gorgonzola and the California Club, but we try to try a different one every time we go.

I can't remember the exact name of it, but my favorite is the chicken with roasted garlic (on wheat crust). It doesn't have a tomato sauce, but it's sooooooo good. I can get it frozen at my grocery store too, but not quite as good as the restaurant!

Chinese Chicken Salad, the Original Chopped Salad, the tortillini soup, and of course the BBQ Chicken Pizza.

The kids will love it. The bread is yummy, and they serve pasta all different ways, including the ever-popular delicacy - buttered! ;)

You have got to try the B.L.T. pizza...mmmm MMMMM!!!! :thumbsup2

They have some of there pizzas in the freezer section at grocery stores if you want to do a test run with your kids. I ate at one a long long time ago but I normally get the BBQ chicken one from the store.

I've only had a salad there, get the same one every time. It's a chopped salad with BBQ chicken on it. Ask for extra dressing :) It's expensive, $9.99 for a full one, but it's worth it once in a while.

MMMM - this one is my favorite too. Sooo yummy!!!

ps - DH says the chopped salad is great, but I have trouble ordering a salad when they have such yummy pizza!!!

I love CPK! I usually get the smoked bacon and gorgonzola chopped salad. It is my favorite salad to get anywhere. Every pizza I've had there has been good too, but I try not to eat bread, so lately it's just been salad for me.

i love cpk - never had bad food there. enjoy!

yep your kids will love it!!

remember those Essensia Pizzas we were buying for a while at Albertsons? Theyre like that but better.

Zachnelli - We are in Omaha as well and I am so excited to finally be able to try that BBQ Chicken Pizza that everyone seems to be drooling over!
YEAH! :sunny:

We have California Pizza Kitchen in Kansas City. I like the unusual pizzas--thai or pear gargonzola, and I like the thin wheat crust. The salads sound awesome, too.

The Thai Crunch salad is so tasty!

I really like the Tostada pizza. I want to try the Pear & Gorgonzola next time I go.

The Tostada pizza is the BEST!!!!!

It's one of our favorites! At least here locally, we do have pick up available... I've been craving pizza and bet I could twist his arm to go... ;)

Brye loves the Pepperoni pizza with the BBQ chicken added. He didn't like the BBQ chicken pizza becuase it's actual BBQ sauce instead of tomato sauce.

I love the Waldorf salad, the split green pea soup, the Hawaiin pizza, and their Mai Tais... :goodvibes
