My family of four ate at C Grill 2 weeks ago. *It was our 7th visit there, but our first since the remodel. *The prices have risen and the quality seems to have gone down. *Two*of us ordered the short ribs. *They were fatty and chewy. *:confused3. What a disappointment. *Also, we were seated in a back room and had no view at all. *

It was my least favorite of our visits to the restaurant and we dropped about $250. *Next time, I think we will return to Jiko instead.

I've heard from several friends and my wife of the same thing: lackluster food (especially those short ribs), spotty service, and prices worthy only of a top-tier restaurant. We've taken it off our "must do" list for our upcoming trips.

From all the reviews I have no desire to return since the remodel.

Unfortunately, this was our experience in November as well.

The service was the lone bright spot when we went during Christmas week. The food wasn't bad, it was just pricey and in small amounts (but I guess that's "haute cuisine" for you!).

We went in with open minds, despite the negative reviews. The food was good, but not as great as it should have been for the price. We also thought the service and ambiance was not what it should have been. This used to be one of our favorite places, but now we don't have the desire to go back. :(

well this makes me feel better about cancelling our CG resi that we had for the end of this month. Such a shame for all who are having less that stellar experiences.

We were just there in December and I was there once before the remodel. We had excellent service. We requested seats with a view so we had to wait a little longer but we got it and the food was the best I've had yet. I didn't think the prices were any more than the last time I was there. The steak was still $49. Everything was great and I can't wait to go back.

Glad you had a great experience. I know that NO restaurant hits the mark 100% of the time, but, unfortunately, our experience was so poor, I don't think we will go back. Makes me sad. :(

We went last night. We had Walter and he was very nice and very efficient. He gave us a big basket of bread which we enjoyed. We all had a sushi choice as our dinner, 3 cocktails, and 2 desserts. Total bill with tip was about $240. I can't imagine the bill with $50 entrees added on!

Food was good, cocktails were small for ~$10 apiece. Dessert was on the small side as well (creme brûlée). Service was very good, although CG always tries to upsell. Decide what you want beforehand and ignore upselling.

We had a good table location but if they had tried to put us somewhere undesirable I definitely would have protested.

We came back and watched the fireworks on the deck behind the main deck. Only a few people were on that deck and it has basically the same view.

Overall, a pleasant experience.

We have been to CG every trip since they first opened...our kids were young and now have their own children. We were there in November and experienced excellent food and service. Our two previous experiences had been just ok. Pricing, I think CG is in line with the other signature restaurants and maybe more reasonable than Shula's.

We ate there in December and had a great experience. The food was good and the service was great. The only thing I can complain about is how windy it was out on the observation deck.;) I already have an ADR booked for our next trip.:goodvibes

I wouldn't cancel an ADR for someplace you are excited to try. Every WDW has complaints, and people who love it. You never know which side you will fall on until you try it yourself.

We went in Nov despite the poor reviews and it was the best meal of our trip. The service and food was excellent.

We've been many times and have a reservation in May. The one time we were placed in the back room, I politely asked to be moved. The view is part of the experience for us. We were happily moved to a table right by a window. I'm a firm believer in politely requesting a change if you're not happy. If I'm going to pay $49 for a piece of meat and it's not cooked right or its not tender, better believe I'm going to ask that it's fixed. It's only right that they do, and if they choose not to, then I'm not going back....:)

We had a quick bite in the lounge. It was (as expected) crowded so service was a bit frantic. Our waiter did a good job managing all of his tables. The martini was good but the flatbread was bland. As was the shrimp dish. We probably won't return. We enjoy The Top of the World far more.
