Does anyone have experience with or does anyone know if California Grill will work with you to make sure everyone is seated together for a regular ADR (15 ppl)? I'm thinking maybe they could put us in Napa or Sonoma room if no one has booked it for the dinner hour. Will they make special printed menus for you?

If not, anyone know what regular ADR dinner or lunch place would work with you to make sure everyone is seated together?

1) For a "regular ADR", you take you chances to be near/adjacent to each other.
2) It would not be fair to other guests to block out a section of tables.
. . . some may want window seats, or other locations, with their ADR
. . . or, they have enough people for more than one table
. . . if you were one of the other guests, you could understand
3) It would also not be fair to the SERVERS/waitstaff.
. . . union contracts must be followed by the table ASSIGNERS
. . . the contract requires an equal opportunity for SERVERS to make tips
. . . to hold back a block of tables possibly deprives the SERVER of tips (or, at least it would appear that way)

I spoke directly with the manager of the restaurant I am debating on having a lunch at. She was so accommodating and said as long as I keep it under 30 people, we will be seated all together and with a personalized menu if we choose.

If you speak to the manager at restaurants they will accommodate you...Have you planned a wedding or an event Rusty?

I am doing mine at Captains Grille. Such a great manager. I will PM you her info so you can call her directly if interested in that location. I will try to find you CA Grills direct number also. I am really excited about a personalized menu.

I called and they said they can make reservations for less than 20 at opening.... I assume they would sit us all together or right next to each other then right? Since they could plan it from opening?

1) Actually, yes.
2) I have not only arranged for weddings, but have officiated at them and vow renewals (I became an ordained minster after retirement).
3) Although managers may say anything early, as the time gets closer, it may remain the same or be altered.
4) Things at Disney, are ALAWAYS, "subject to change".
5) So, I do wish you good luck in having the manager keep his word.
6) Things do sound easy, but there are other considerations. *

* Per the union contract, SERVERS are limited to the number of tables and guests they serve, in order to keep the work load spread "evenly", as well as the opportunity for tips. When big parties are placed together, this alters the number of guests per-table, and thus the size of the bill and the size of the tip. (The number of guests are altered, because tables are combined and the guests who be at the end of the table are eliminated. Got to follow the contract or pay the 4-hour grievance, and Disney HATES to pay union grievance penalties.)
