We are thinking of booking two dining reservations at the oppositte ends of the scale ...if you know what I mean..
California Grill reservation about 8.30, would this give us enough time to eat and watch Wishes from the observation deck (presuming wishes starts at 10.00)...Has anyone done this
Whispering canyon cafe...Is dinner as fun/loud as lunch....My DD is Ketchup mad ..so hoping this would be a fun one
Thanks for any tips/advice

Whispering Canyon is fun at breakfast, lunch and dinner. Be sure to ask for a straw as well as the ketchup! Taking photos with the servers always turns into a fiasco! You might want to try asking for a very interactive server, maybe someone at the front desk can recommend who to ask for. Of course, all of the servers are characters at Whispering Canyon, but some more than others! :rotfl2:

As far as dinner at the Cali Grill, be sure to confirm what time Wishes will be, on the night you want to reserve. The time does vary.

We did CG in October, it was my favourite place to eat, awesome views.
Wishes was on at 9pm & we made our ADR for 7.30pm.
This turned out to be perfect time, we were a bit late being seated (i think this is quite common here) we finished our main course at 8.50pm & our server said she would bring desserts after the fireworks so we wouldnt miss them :)

Also did dinner at WCC, never done lunch but it was a quite lively as someone had planned a suprise wedding proposal with the staff involved.
(see my trip report - 'Traceys wedding trip day 3 21st Oct')

I've done Cali Grill twice now and always booked for about an hour before Wishes (that's with 2 of us eating). We have our appetisers and then head out - they then bring our main course once we come back in.

Also be sure to head over to the other observation area after Wishes and watch the Electric Water Pageant.

You'll love Cali Grill....it's wonderful.

I'm doing Whispering Canyon for dinner on my upcoming trip....stayed at WL last visit and it looked and sounded like a hoot!

We did CG for the second time last month. We had a 19:40 ADR but arrived 20mins earlier and were seated right away. We had just finished desert at 20:55 so took the last of our champagne out onto the balcony just in time for Wishes at 21:00 - perfect :goodvibes

We did WCC for breakfast a few years ago. It was fun but don't need to go again. It's good for kids though if they are not to shy too join in the sillyness.

:goodvibes
