Hi everyone!
So my fiance' and I happened to get a reservation at 9:30pm at CG on the first night we are at Disney for our honeymoon! The fireworks go off at 10pm that night, so that works out kinda nice, but I was wondering if a 9:30 reservation is too late? Can we still get the full meal experience or will it be rushed because of their closing time? And, if not is there a way to request a seat in the window area? I have heard that sometimes they seat you in the back where you can't see anything.
Also, for those that have dined there, what were your favorite foods/what would you recommend? And are there any plates not included in the disney dining plan credits?
We are both so excited to go here on our first night to get that magic experience to start our vacation .
Thanks!!

At 9:30, you won't be rushed, but you probably will be seated after the fireworks -- not before. People camp out pretty hard at that time of night.

Everyone requests windows.

It is unlikely you will get a window table with a 9:30 reservation because almost everyone with a window table will remain for the fireworks. There will be plenty of space on the outdoor deck so even without a window table you will be able to go out and see the fireworks. If you want a window table you can ask if they will seat you after fireworks as many become available since a large number of families leave after fireworks. Even without fireworks it is a lovely view. You won't be rushed even if you have a late reservation.

Thanks everyone! I assumed the window seats would probably be full. So, if they can seat us elsewhere in the restaurant, we can go outside during the dinner to see the fireworks?

Yes. I agree with Purple Figment though, you will be lucky if you are seated on time. You will be able to see Wishes from teh observation deck though.

Thank you! That's okay, if we don't get seated on time. We are just excited to be able to see the fireworks from there and have dinner :)

I think that the view from CG is one of the most spectacular on property. Have a great evening!!!

My friend went in September, and had booked CG. She was not at all sure where they would seat her and her fiancé, or if they would even be inside the restaurant to see Wishes. They were ex=scored right in, they never requested that elusive window seat but they got one, and experienced a beautiful view of WIshes. You never know!

Hi, I have a question on CG also, I recieved a ressie six months out. Now that it's getting close I am rethinking. I did not realize that we could go to top of the world lounge, new to vacation club. So this is what we have any help. Myself and niece age 9. It is way to late to eat for her, so I was thinking dessert and a drink, would they be mad? You answered the question about seating, since I think our ressies is at 9:15. Should I just cancel and do top of the world? We have DDP, but I did not ant to waste on a meal we won't eat. Lastly how do you make a ressie for top of the world?

I have reservations for CG at 7:20 and at 9:05. Which one should I keep if I want to see the fireworks?

We're going in June.

Typically a sig dinner takes 90 - 120 minutes so I would choose the 9:05 since it looks like Wishes is at 10 PM in June.

If you prefer dinner at the earlier time (7:20) and you finish early you can come back before the fireworks, show your receipt at the second floor podium and you will be able to go back up to the restaurant/viewing deck.

It can be a little breezy up on the observation deck at night you may want to take a wrap with you just for standing outside with;) We were there last August for my birthday and our anniversary and we made it a "date night" . The views were astounding with all the property visible via the lights right across WDW and then Oh My Gosh those fireworks were magnificent. We never had a window table but were informed about how long it would be between each course and took a walk out the staff knew where we were so our meals were served when we sat down not before. It's an amazing place and the new decor suits it very well. We will return in the future to dine again just not on our next visit. Enjoy yourselves.

Try to snag an ADR one hour before Wishes.

I had the Bison...fantastic
the wife had the filet...also fantastic
