California Grill & Pirates and Pals

Hi everyone!!

So I have a question.... we have a 5:30 adr for the california grill on 12/5. Do you think we will have enough time to eat if we have to be at the Pirates and Pals crusie at 6:45(they are at the same hotel)? I'm just worried that we won't get done in time. Should I just take my chances? I already checked to see if I could get an earlier reservation, but none are available. Thanks for any advice.

In my opinion, not a chance, especially if you intend to order more than one course. California Grill is a leisurely meal. You can try ordering only one course or you can ask to have it sped up but I think that would detract from the experience at a restaurant like that.

They don't seat any earlier than 5:30 so that is the earliest time you can get.

Nope sorry, I don't think it is possible. It takes a long time to eat at CG and you def. don't want to be rushed. As the previous poster mentioned 5:30 is the first seating, so earlier is not possible.

You may be able to get out of the Wave in one hour, let your server know about the cruise and they will make sure you get out in time.

I agree with the other posters. CG is not a quick meal. It always takes us a couple of hours for a meal that is appetizer, entree, dessert. You really don't want to hurry this meal along!

Thanks to all of you!! We have decided to save Pirate and Pals for another trip....my hubby did not want to give up California Grill...neither did I. Plus we can always watch the fireworks from the hotel!

I know the op resolved the issue, but fwiw, if there is anyone else reading, I wouldn't count on being out of The Wave in an hour either, unless maybe it was really early. Our meal there was painstakingly slow and everyone else I spoke with who ate there had the same experience.
