We have California Grill booked for our December Trip. we originially had DP booked but have now cancelled that as have 2 weeks free dining next August so figured we could try all Disney Restaurants then. However would still like to try CG but thinking it may now prove a little expensive. Was just checking menu and saw they have flatbreads. Just wondering if these are usually ordered as a main course or starter. I love Flat breads and would be more than happy to have as a main but not sure if that is allowed/frowned upon.

Thanks

I always get one as an appetizer. They really aren't large enough for a main course (at least I don't think they are). In fact, they probably are barely large enough to share as an appetizer. I always get my own.
Can't help with the second part of the question, as we always get a full meal at CG. But I suspect others have gone to CG and just gotten appetizers or dessert, so I don't think it would be any problem.

I think the flatbreads are the right size for two people to share as an appetizer and way too big for one person to eat as an appetizer only. Maybe a flatbread and a salad for a meal would work well if you aren't starving? They have a great green goddess salad and wonderful appetizer flatbreads. You can't go wrong.

We shared one of the flatbreads and an order of sushi, and it was plenty for a meal. The sushi was delicious btw!

I often have a flatbread and the yellowtail sashimi, plus a cheese board, as a full meal. (The entrees are way too big to eat with a flatbread and I'd rather have the flatbread and sushi than any of the entrees)

There were 3 of us, DD wanted (she's an adult) a flatbread and nothing more - (she eats very little btw!) so after an analysis, we decided to do this OOP - it was DD bday, so we did go all out, dh got the Grouper, I had the petite chicken, and dd flatbread... and we all had dessert, and dh ordered us a bottle of wine - our meal came to $125 - compared to Liberty Tree Tavern, on the Dining Plan, we did use 3TS, but dh was shocked to find the bill came out to be more than CG! (I think it was $130 - the bill we take home has zeros on it!!)

So customize CG and enjoy!!
