California Grill good for picky teen?i

I am thinking of taking dh to California Grill for his birthday and then see the fireworks from there. Do you know if the menu is a good place for a picky 14 year old. She's too old for the kid's menu and just about all of the regular menu truthfully I don't think she would even try. Has anyone had any experience over there with teens?

The 3 or 4 cheese flatbread is always on the menu and should be fine for a picky eater. Steak can be ordered without sauce. She may be able to order off the child's menu. It's been many years but our DS2 used to do that when he was in his early teens.

Or she could just order dessert while she celebrates her father's birthday.

If it helps, anyone can order of the kids menu You may not be able to use DDP credits, really you wouldn't want to, but you can pay OOP.

Sometimes you never know with teenagers. My DD14 was going to order the roast chicken at Brown Derby in December, we knew for months that's what she would order because it was the only thing she "knew she liked" on the menu. Well we had a late ADR and the waitress came back and said they were out of the chicken It probably helped that our waitress highly recommended trying the pork rib chop and told her they would give her the side dishes that came with the chicken. She also said that if she didn't like that they would find something else for her. Well, lo and behold the Hatfield Roasted Pork Rib Chop was her favorite dish of the trip and led her to decide to try the filet mignon at LeCellier and the braised short ribs at Les Chefs de France

As they say, be careful what you wish for she's expensive to feed now
