I have a ressie for CG at 9 p.m. Will I be able to go up early and out on the balcony to see 8 p.m. fireworks?

Yes, unless something has changed. We did this in Jan 08 and it was lovely.

Yes, they will let you up early to watch the fireworks. As long as you have a reservation that day, Cali Grill will let you come up early, or leave and come back later to watch Wishes.

Another yes here! In Aug this year we had a party of 6 for a 9:25 pm rezzie and Wishes went at 9 pm, we checked in at 8:30 and were taken right up. It was one of the best evenings of our trip! Enjoy!

Yes, they will but I think it is overrated. It is actually really windy and cold up there at that time of night if you are there anytime outside of summer.

Cali Grill is our absolute favorite restaurant in all of Disney. When you go to watch Wishes, grab a glass of wine or cocktail at the bar then head on out, the view of Wishes is just amazing.

I love going there and sit at the bar and have a few glasses of wine and dessert, while the fireworks are going off - it is such a wonderful experience and the food and service are wonderful!

If you get there early enough, there are some seats in the bar/lounge area that have a fabulous view of the MK that wouldbe better than the windy observation deck, imo. I actually had one of these tables when I was there!! Unfortunately our buzzer went off before the fireworks! I actually think that the bar/lounge has a better view than the people with reserved tables. I wrote about it in my tr if you want more details!

I just wanted to say that we love the CG! It is my fav restaurant! The food is amazing! They have the best sushi I have ever tasted (spicy kazan roll) and the lobster risotto is to die for!

They changed the dessert menu a few weeks ago, and I found the new desserts to be lack luster, no creme brulee and they got rid of the peach dessert (it was seasonal). Still the other courses more than make up for the dessert course!

I was asking if I could get up early, not after. However, others have responded positively to this question. Thank you to everyone. I have actually eaten there before... maybe in 1996. So, another visit is long overdue.
