California Grill dinner ADR availability

My ADR window opened this morning for a DVC stay Starting 10/28 to 11/7/22. We would like to do California Grill dinner (hopefully with fireworks viewing) on Sunday 11/6/22 for 4.
I thought at 60 + 9 days, I would have a good number of options for time. I first tried 7:30 pm, our ideal time and got "no reservations available". I then went to "dinner" instead of a specific time and got the same nothing available. Then I tried a party of 2 for "dinner" and got no availability. I then went back and tried dinner for 4 on every night of our trip and got "no availability". Are they delaying the release of California Grill ADRs? It seems unlikely that all ADRs are taken this far in advance. I spot checked many random middle of the week days in September and October and also got absolutely no availability. Which made we wonder is it something wrong with my browser? I tried on my phone as well and got the same results. All my other ADRs were easy to get this morning. I haven't tried the app. Am I missing something like a closure? Any help is much appreciated!

But I messed up, I went to my last night and grabbed a perfect reservation at 8:00 only to realize moments later that is the day we go home. I was still half asleep and I get so jittery the morning I can book my ADRs.

I canceled it as soon as I realized with tears in my eyes...lol. But someone got a great reservation that day.

I have alerts set and I missed one hoping to get another shot before we leave for our September trip.

I was able to get a 9:55 pm reservation for 9/14 a while ago. I have been trying to modify the time ever since but have not seen any availability for any other dinner times on that date. I'm hoping to maybe be able to modify to an earlier time day of.

I've been searching for a couple of clients who are 60+10. Nothing for November at all. I'm thinking it hasn't been loaded into the system yet.

Thanks, that helps to know it's not just me and maybe is a loading issue. Which is still frustrating to lose the +9 advantage. I will keep checking daily. In the meantime I booked the in-park fireworks dessert package. But for that price we'd much prefer a meal, we don't mind missing the projections and the crowds.

Its a four night trip and I always try to grab the hardest reservations at the end of the trip. I did check all the days, but nothing.

The California Grill fireworks viewing event does not show up on the app, but the regular dining room is on the app.

This morning about 8:30 am I checked and there were 2 times that showed up on the app for 10/30 which is exactly 60 days out. Nothing any other day 10/31-11/6 which makes me wonder if they are only releasing them one day at a time right at 60 days?

I don't know if the fireworks event impacts the number of main dining room tables offered? They only do the event a few days a week, but often Sundays so that could potentially affect our hope for a Sunday ADR on 11/6. I'm not too excited to pay full price for an alcohol-included experience for my 10 and 11 year old sons so would prefer the main dining room to the "party".

There have not been any fireworks events (aka Celebration at the Top) showing past September, so it is unlikely to affect regular dining at CG. (I’ve been twice and it’s held in separate rooms). I keep thinking that they’re not loading the CG reservations into the system in a timely way.

That's been my experience as well. It is frustrating to have to do another early morning to try to get a time right around fireworks and to have lost the resort reservation advantage.

I was able to get 7:30 pm for 11/6 this morning! I set my alarm for 5:55 am and the California Grill times were already there. I'm not sure how early they load them but this morning at least I was able to book a few minutes before the 60 day people.

I checked again this morning to see how long the ADRs lasted. By 7:30 am there was only 9:50 pm showing so I'm not surprised that no times were there by 9 am.

It looks like they are loading at midnight not 6am. Booked the date we needed at 12:01am.

Thank you so much for that info! Getting ADRs for the California Grill has always been crazy. Dinner times anywhere close to fireworks time were usually booked up within the first few hours even when it was 180 days in advance.
