California Grill and birthday fuss!!!!!!!

I want to take My husband to CG for his b'day............obviously I will tell them it's his birthday when I make the reservation, but will they do anything special like balloons, or a cake if I ask?! Also, does it increase our chances of getting a window seat overlooking the MK , or is everyone there celebrating something?!!! It will be an early dinner, about 6.00pm.

Finally, we will have our 4 yr old son with us....are they OK with kids there?!

I'm sure if you mention the birthday they can come up with a special surprize. I've never seen balloons at the CG but it doesn't mean they don't have them. Cake or a special dessert plate for sure can be made.

Kids are welcomed at the CG. It's not thrilling for them like Chef Mickey's might be but the staff has crayons to keep them busy and the view of the MK is nice.

Window seats aren't guaranteed but with an early reservation it's possible.

Does anyone have any idea what time the first performance of Wishes will be on Dec 30th?!!! We'd like to eat dinner and then be able to watch it from the viewing platform outside. Trying to co-ordinate it!

I'm not sure if you're inquiring if CG can provide a cake or special desert that you're ordering and paying for (they will, complete with singing servers -- contact the restaurant ahead of time), or asking if they will provide a cake for you just because it's an occasion (they won't provide an entire cake, but some people have sometimes gotten a complimentary piece of cake with a candle in it.) You're correct in thinking that many, many people are celebrating something during their Disney trip, especially when going out to dinner at one of the better restaurants. It's much safer to make your own plans, if want something special done. Hope you have a great time!

Oh, re: Wishes. If the park hours aren't out yet, no one knows for sure.
