Thanks for the great interview of the coordinator for the California food and wine festival, Nancy! Great job! :thumbsup2

If this year's festival is like last year's, I say everyone, go to this thing if you can! I can't go this year but wish I could. I'd be making a beeline to Pacific Wharf for that cheese soup. It puts Le Cellier's soup to shame, it's that good.

I'd want to do those walkabout things, too. And the food demos were outstanding, and FREE. The only drawback was the lack of recipes for any of the demos. The special events I went to were terrific EXCEPT the wine reception event on the lower patio near the winery. I thought it was not well done at all, and I gave Disney feedback on that.

I have reviews of last year's festival, including food porn, in the middle link embedded in my signature if anyone wants to see what DCA's festival was like.

I second that - great interview Nancy! Made me hungry on my way to work this morning.

Glad you guys liked it. I was so lucky to be in the right place at the right time to meet Jim. This is hopefully the first of many great interviews. I have 2 more that I have definitely planned for the future. Both gentlemen have said yes to being on the show! I think y'all will be pleasantly surprised!

Great job, Nancy - I really, really wanted to get out there this year but not this time.....

Hope you have lots of fun, and please take lots of pictures - I love food porn!:cake::drinking1:mickeybar

i look forward to many more segments from you!

You should have seen the looks on our faces when we realized what we had done...

We were so hungry that we just started tearing into everything. Dave and I hadn't had dinner yet - he had a big travel day and was saving himself up for this and I had just gotten off of work and driven down in Los Angeles rush hour traffic.

Then, we paused to start recording our segment, as our stomachs had started filling up. As we started to talk about the food, we all looked at each other in horror! We had forgotten to photograph the food! :scared1:

We didn't know what to do until Dave and Tony looked at each other and said "Well, by the time the folks see this, they won't be able to eat it anyway! - Best not to torture them with photos!" :lmao:

That's quite alright. There's a contingent of folks on the restaurant board who hate to see partially eaten food porn pics. :eek: :rotfl2:

:surfweb: .................. :scared1::scared1::scared1::scared1::scared1:

Okay - I officially have to slow down - my last post was in reference to the lack of food photos in the new blog I have up. i saw the comments on needing photos of food and immediately my brain went to our photoless yamabuki blog!!!!

:rolleyes1
