california adventure at epcot

Just saw a show on travel channel. They said that Disney is building california adventure at epcot. It will be like the ride in california. Does anyone know where they are building it in epcot and when it will open. Looks like a cool ride.

It is called Soarin' over California and it is a simulator ride over the vistas of California. You sit in a row of chairs that lift you up like you are handgliding and it is so neat. We rode it at the California Adventure park last summer and we loved it. Can't wait until it opens at Epcot!

Oops, I forgot to add that I think it is opening next Spring next to the Land Pavillion at Epcot!

"Soarin" is a great ride. I rode it many times when I was at CA last year. It's probably one of the best rides I have been on.

Can't wait for it to open.

Yup, absolutely INCREDIBLE ride...the best! We CA natives and DLR frequenters know this as Soarin' Over California, but from what we heard, the version in WDW will start out with the CA film, but they cut the name short to just "Soarin'" in order to allow for future changes to the footage. This is what a CM told us this summer. WHEEEEEEEEEEEE, we love this ride!

The theming for Soarin (they dropped the over CA) in Florida will be a little different than CA.

In CA you walk down and the theme is aircraft history, in FL you will walk up and the theming will be like an airport. It will be like you are flying to the different cities shown in the movie.

Soarin is the best ride I have ever experienced.

I just got Birnbaum's 2005 book and it is listed as "Soarin'" and has it in The Land where Food Rocks is now. Looks cool!
