Calif. Car Seat Laws???

Are you permitted to do a right on red after stop in California?

Just make sure there is no sign that says "No Right on Red". ;) I have seen these.
And there are even some lights that when it is straight there will be a green right arrow. Then you can turn without stopping.
And if there is no light to the right of you, you can turn on the red, but you may have to yield. We have quite a few of those up here where the right will be into its own lane. So if there is no red light to your right (on the sidewalk) then you are good to go!

Why can't they make it consistent?????? :lmao:

Ok, so for my almost 6 yr old who is 40 pounds we will bring the backless booster, but for my 9 yr who weighs 52 pounds.. do I need it? She does use one at home still... but saving space with the airline travel would be good. When I went to the site, it said 6 or 60... someone here said 6 and 60?

Just wondering..

thanks

We are bringing both boosters for our kids - since our DS 7 still uses one in Utah because of the law here. So we just feel safer having him in it when we are there. I want the shoulder strap to be over his shoulder/collarbone and not up around his neck where he could slip out of it.

Plus, it makes him taller in the car and that makes it easier for him to see, he likes to read road signs and find landmarks.

Yes but watch for "No turn on red" signs and red arrows which over rule the right turn on red rule. If is it a single right or left turn lane then you may turn into any lane you want if safe. Double and triple right and left turns require you turn into your lane only.

It has to be yes the kid is 60+ pounds and yes the kid is 6+ years old on seat belts.

Unless they have substantially changed the law since I was there last - YES!
