Is the October calendar correct and TL is closing for refurbishment October 4th?

It's most likely accurate. That's around the time it closes for its winter refurb.

Each water park will close for an extended period of time every winter for a thorough cleaning and touch ups. Typhoon Lagoon will be closed but Blizzard Beach will be open. Then Typhoon Lagoon will reopen and Blizzard Beach will close. It happens just about every year.

Have gone to Disney for fall break for many years and never had the refurbishment start this early in October. We plan 3 TL days into our plans and this year that just won't happen. Very sad as we LOVE TL!! Last year refurbishment didn't start till the 10/26. That date is normal and have seen it the week before but never the first full week in October.

Cheshire- thought you might some inside knowledge of this years refurbishment possibly being more extensive thus the earlier posted closing.

Actually, that's very early. Typically the first water park to close for refurbishment closes in late October.

Oh man, we are planning a trip for mid October (14th-19th) and we were planning on going to TL on one of our days. TL is our favorite water park and missed going to it during our January trip....bummer.
