Thanks for the notes. DS, 5, is doing great and THRILLED to be going to Kindergarten with three Incredibles bandages on his chin. He looks quite lively!

He loves having the medicine and bandaids on so that is a big help.
Finished another SB Day.

Going grocery shopping today because I need more veggies/lean meat/fish and ricotta cheese! Love that stuff.
Still feeling a bit light headed, but I think it is my body adjusting to the new eating plan. Took my blood pressure yesterday and it was better. I think Sunday I was way too worked up from DH's fall and the caffeine.
Great swim time with the kids. I swam laps and they even raced me a bit. DH, 10, is FAST! I really encourage her to be athletic and never talk about dieting with her. She is long, tall, lean and just perfect. She was quite concerned the other day because DS,8, is so skinny and her legs are not so skinny. "When I sit down my thighs get big Mommy." I told her everyone's thighs get big when they sit down and not to worry about being bigger than her brother. Well, he is TOOO TOOO skinny and I assured her she is just right. I just don't want her to have the weight issues/hang ups I developed early in life after being told I needed to loose a "little" weight. Anyway, I have three healthy, happy, physically fit and slender kids (DS 8 is a bit too slender but anyway) and that is a joy. They do swimming in summer and skating in winter as "official" exercise and lots of fun stuff other times. I really think that is key to establishing a healthy pattern for them. I was a sendentary kid!

To be honest, I am not athletic or coordinated. My dad would take me swimming on Saturdays and I had a bike, but my parents are both academics and books were the big thing in our lives. Which I still love and I love that my kids, especially DS,8, LOVES to read.
Today I will be swimming with them again and then plan on jogging tonight. Probably won't go for my 40 minutes because I am still adjusting to my new eating plan with South Beach and am a bit light headed. Which reminds me - snack time for almonds
I have to add. At Sunday School where I teach DS 8 we had the verse in Philippians 4:6 where it says "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything through prayer and supplication with thanksgiving make your requests known to God." For the kids I taught them "Don't worry about anything, but make your requests to God." So, when I was saying on Monday I had been very worried about the fall at the pool the day before, DS 8 piped up. "Remember Mom, we are not suppossed to worry, but talk to God." What a joy. Lessons from the mouths of babes.
Have a great day everyone!
