Caleb's Wish trip!

Things sure seem quiet around here....maybe because it is spring break!
The weather has been beautiful~maybe people are out enjoying it! ???

I was just commenting on how quiet it was on the Wish Thread. I would blame it on Spring Break, but it isn't SB for everyone, right? :confused3

Maybe it is the pretty spring weather! :)

Or people are watching March Madness Basketball?

We sort of had a lag on Wish Trips...we haven't had as many folks recently...but then several folks are going at the same time in a week or two! :)

Plus Noah and Becca have been sick, so no TR from those guys at this point.

So hopefully we will have TR's to start enjoying, too!!! :)

Hi

I just got done catching up

I am so happy for Caleb and your entire family.

If you still aren't able to get a chef mickey's appointment they have a character breakfast at the Cape May cafe and it has all of the fab five in their swimsuits :)

Also you will be in disney world at the same time as me so I definitely understand all the excitement with the countdown calendar haha

The boards have been a little quiet this week which is good because I needed to get caught up!

I figured I would throw in my two cents after finally reading your whole TR - I started it and then didn't finish until today.

I don't know anything about Universal or Sea World but Disney takes more than a week on its own. My suggestion is to first make peace with the fact that you won't see and do everything. Then, make a list of the whole family's must dos for each park and everything else you can get done is just a bonus. This helps with not feeling too stressed out about not fitting everything in.

Below is a link to Steve Soares website. It is a great source of character meeting spots and show times.

A great spot to meet the fab five plus more is at DHS in front of the hat at rope drop or shortly after rope drop. We met Goofy there with no line and got a photo of DD with Minnie and Daisy at the same time.

Another secret is there are tons of characters to be found in WS.

My DD loves Epcot! There are lots of great rides there and character meets but my DD really loves the Kidcot stops/passport. Here is a link to BradK's Kidcot guide (scroll down once the website loads to see the guide).

Okay, I am done boring you with my thoughts. I hope you find something useful in my rambling - lol! :)

Thanks for your links and info! I appreciate it!
I think I have finally come to accept that we can't do and see it all....which is gonna be OK! We will go back...someday!
We are just so ready for it to be time...time is in slow motion!!! :sad2:
Trying to stay busy! Which is pretty easy with 3 kids! :laundy:

Thanks again for reading along and giving me some info!

Well I went shopping again today and found lots of surprises for their airplane bags to keep them busy! Big Lots had tons of neat Disney stuff CHEAP :thumbsup2 !!
I got some travel tic tac toe, Mickey checkers in a travel container, Princess markers and some cute journals for them to write in each night on our trip!
I also found the cutest tiaras for my 2 princesses to wear to the princess breakfast!princess:
I will have to take their pic and post it!

Here is a pic of my Pretty Princesses

OOOH! I love those!!! Where did you find them?? Were those from Big Lots too?

It's not Spring Break here yet, that doesn't start until April 6 for us.

No I got them at a local wedding and party supply company. They are metal and "real" stones ;)

This weekend was Aubree's 4th Birthday
We surprised her with a trip to Great Wolf Lodge....
Here are a few pics for the weekend!

Here is her blowing out her candles on her mini cake.....she had like 4 cakes all weekend! (notice it is a Tinkerbell cake !!!)

Here she is ready for church with her "boyfriend"...a lizard Caleb caught....she kept carrying him around and hugging the cage saying he was her boyfriend!

47 more days we will be on one of these headed to WDW

What date is Aubree's birthday?

Mine was yesterday...22nd...and I am 34...so that makes me almost exactly 30 years older than Aubree!!! :)

Cool! :cool1:

Her's is the 22nd too! Cool:thumbsup2
Happy Belated Birthday Maroo :bday:

I just got back from Family Dollar. I bought Aubree a small Princess backpack for $7 and they had packages of playing cards with Mickey and Princesses. 1 had crazy 8's and Go Fish, the other had Old maid and Slap. $1 for each pkg of 2! Thought that would be good for the airport, plane or parade wait times.
:thumbsup2

I also bought Aubree a princess rain poncho. I might go back and get Caleb the Cars one...depending on how big it is....it says youth. And I didn't want to open it in the store. It was $5.50. It comes in a mesh carrying bag....real compact! Now I just need to get the "big people" ponchos.

I am ready for the time to move a little faster!!:guilty:

Great Wolf Lodge looks like so much fun!!! I love that little Tink cake!! So cute!!!

This weekend we saw a commercial on the Disney channel about the Kim Possible adventure @ Epcot using the Kimunicator...really looks fun!
And I think it will make the countries much more fun and exciting for the kids!
Caleb saw it and yelled we gotta do that!!!:yay:
Has anyone been lately and done it? Is it as fun as it looks??

I did not do it...since it was just me and I am an adult... :lmao:

But I did see several kids "running around" with the cell phone type devices. They really looked like they were having fun!!! :)

It is, though, a very long walk to get back there to the World Showcase in Epcot and a long walk around the circle to all of the countries. It also will probably take a chunk of time...but not sure how long? I am sure it depends on your kids. But it definitely looks very cool!! :thumbsup2

When you go to Epcot, make sure to make time for the Test Track VIP room!!! :) And take some pics for those of us that were not able to go there! :) That is a must see on a Wish Trip, because you can't get in there the next time you come back to Disney.

Thanks for the advice Maroo....you always have awesome replies!! (I think you are the only who even takes the time to read my craziness!!...Thank you!!)

We will definately try and find the test track wish lounge and take some pics for everyone!!

Another question....how bad is soarin? I have pretty bad motion sickness (I got sick in that 360 degree movie at Epcot...Canada I think??) I don't want to be a chicken and not ride it...but don't want to get sick either! I guess I could just close my eyes!

I know there are several NO GO's for me!...TOT, ANY thrill roller coasters, so glad to hear Space Mountain is closed.....1 less ride to be made fun of for not riding! I just don't do roller coasters!

You are so welcome...I am sure you have other readers...they are just lurking! :) lol

And they are all thinking...who is this Maroo person and why does she keep talking?!?!

I think you will really enjoy the Wish Lounges. I want to try to take some pics when I am there next time of the one at MK (they still let me look in there, if there is not a family)...but I don't even think I can get close to the Epcot ones. I don't even know where those are. Top Secret, I guess!

Soarin...

Oh...I just hate to tell you not to ride it!!!

Are you afraid of heights or is it just the motion? If you are afraid of heights, I would avoid it. If you are just a little afraid and think you would be fine but would not want to be on the highest part...then ask for the lowest seats...Row 3, I think. You are still high up there, but it doesn't feel as high.

As far as motion...Most of it is on the screen. I have never seen the 360 degree movie, so I can't compare that one...but there is a little movement in your seat...side to side, like you are flying. And "wind" blows in your face. It is a fantastic ride! But I would have for you to feel bad the rest of the day because you rode it, ya know! Maybe save that one for last one evening?
