I prefer the tentacles, with a lemon butter sauce, but it is ALL GOOD!

I like it but not when it looks like little onion rings. I like it in thin strips and crispy.

That is the trick... If you cook it very short or very long, it gets soft. If you cook it in the middle is when it get rubbery.

Mario Batali also says if you cook it with a cork ( when boiling ) it will be softer.

I tried calamari for the first time in my highschool bio class. We first disected then fried them. Teacher told us if we ate some he woulld give us 10 bonus points on our next test. I was doing badly in the class so I was willing to do just about anything to get extra credit. Glad I did, I love it!

I have really tried to like it, but Calamari falls into that group of foods of a certain texture that make me gag even if I like the taste. I have liked the taste of it when I tried it, but I always end up gaging on it no matter how hard I try to suppress the reaction! Oh well. I can eat almost anything, so I suppose I'll just have to cope with Calamari being on the "pass" list.

Suprisingly I love it. I'm not usually one to eat "weird" things. But hey I did eat my first anchovy this weekend. I guess I'm getting better.
