I didn't read all the responses, but in a good "delux" restaurant, you shouldn't have to call over the manager. The manager should have been alerted by the waiter and they should have came over to speak to you. Maybe that would have been a better response/taken more seriously or whatever for the OP?
For us CG has spotty service. Sometimes its great, sometimes it downright horrible as it was last time (and yes we did call over the manager to talk to her, no we weren't expecting anything and we didn't get it either).
