Cakes at Boardwalk Bakery

Hi,

I've seen the official cake thread and waded though approx 30 pages of it (there's 154 in all)...and I was hoping someone might take pity on me and answer my questions here instead of my having to wade through 124 more pages and maybe not find the answer at all anyway.


Does the Boardwalk Bakery do the really fancy cakes like the ones I see on the thread from GF? Or are they mostly just the plain bday cake with a spray of flowers and Happy Birthday "insert name here"? I need a cake for my 7 yr old and wanted something like the Mickey head that's pictured in the other thread or some other character type cake.

2nd.....If I decide against Boardwalk Bakery is there a bakery at the Dolphin or is there a way to have a cake delivered to the Dolphin?

I know that the BW Bakery does not do cakes as fancy as the ones at GF, but they do a Mickey cake besides the round cakes. However, I believe that there are more and less fancy Mickey cakes. I suggest that you call the BW bakery. They were very helpful when I called. We ended up with the basic round cake with the lettering we wanted - $12. The Mickey cakes are around $45 as I recall.

I don't know the answer to your second question.
